Something needs to be done about survivors that refuse to leave the map. Posted: 15 Aug 2018 01:19 AM PDT I just had two games in a row where a survivor refused to exit through either of the open exit gates or the hatch. They just kept hiding around the map and I wasn't able to locate them. It is ridiculous that there isn't some kind of system in place to prevent this. Possible solutions to this problem: 1) Close the exit gates and hatch after a few minutes and require a generator to be done before they open again. 2) Add a time limit to the match once a gate is open. Say 10 minutes? If the survivors haven't escaped by the by time the timer expires then they are either killed by the entity or the match simply ends. 3) Make their auras visible after a few minutes and give them the exposed status effect. 4) After a few minutes start regressing their BP total and once it reaches 0 remove them from the game. 5) Have the report system actually do something. An UPDATED Guide to Teachables Posted: 15 Aug 2018 04:53 AM PDT Hello people of the fog! With all the Killers and Survivors available nowadays, this guide will help you understand what Teachable Perks are, which characters have which Teachables, and when you should consider getting those Teachables. This guide was uploaded several months ago but is now back with the Curtain Call chapter as well as several perk reworks. WTF IS A TEACHABLE PERK? A Teachable Perk is a Perk unique to a Survivor or Killer. Every character has 3 Teachables, which can be unlocked on their Bloodwebs at Levels 30/35/40. When unlocked, all other Killers or Survivors can acquire that perk in their bloodwebs. You can also unlock a Teachable without having to level that character by buying it when it appears in the Shrine of Secrets. Every Character has access to Tier 1 of their respective Teachables at Level 1. The following tables will outline all the Teachables, what they do, and when you would want to have it. DWIGHT FAIRFIELD Perk+Description | When to Take it | BOND - Reveal Survivors within 12/24/36m | Great when combined with Dwight's perks, allows you to see nearby Survivors in a chase for information | PROVE THYSELF - Receive 1/2/3% bonus Action Speed per Survivor within 8m | Good when working with people over comms, and when combined with other coop perks | LEADER - Other Survivors gain 3/6/9% Action Speed when within 8m of you | Improves people healing you, synergies with Prove Thyself for Gens | MEG THOMAS Perk+Description | When to Take it | QUICK & QUIET - You don't provide a notification for rapidly vaulting or entering a locker. Has a 30/25/20s cooldown | Very good for juking the killer by running out of sight then into a locker. | SPRINT BURST - Move at 150% speed when running for 3 seconds. Applies Exhausted for 60/50/40s. Synergises with Overcharge | RECOMMENDED TEACHABLES FOR NEW PLAYERS A common question I see on the sub is new players asking which Character to level up first, so for those new player joining us with the Summer Event and on PS+, this section is a couple of suggestions to get you some good perks. For Survivors I cannot recommend Claudette Morel enough as your first Survivor to level. While all of her perks are good, the perk you want is Self-Care. This perk allows you to heal yourself without a medkit at a reduced rate. This helps you stay healthy as much as possible so you can avoid running around injured searching for help. From there, your choices are many. For those looking for Perks to help them in chases against the Killer, level up Meg Thomas whose perks allow you to get an early headstart in the chase, and help you escape the Killer with a bit of practice. For those looking for Perks to help them avoid the Killer, level up Jake Park and Nea Karlsson. Jake's perks will reduce the noise you make in a ton of situations, allowing you to hide more successfully. Nea's perks will allow you to sneak around faster, to potentially slip away from the Killer right under their nose. For those looking for Perks to help them make saves and play risky , level up David King. If on PC, also consider William Overbeck. David's perks grant bonuses for making saves, and help support a risky style. Bill's perks provide you with powerful bonuses in dangerous situations, and his Borrowed Time perk can allow you to save allies in the worst of situations. Now, for my Killer comrades. There's no agreed on best Killer to rush first, so feel free to take your pick, for those looking for help with a particular playstyle though, consider the following. For help with looping of all sorts look to level Trapper, Hillbilly and Clown. Their perks Brutal Strength, Enduring and Bamboozle all help cut down looping. For help slowing the game down look to level Doctor, Hag and Clown. Their perks Overcharge, Hex: Ruin and Pop Goes the Weasel increase your ability to degress generators and slow down Survivors repairs. For help finding Survivors look to level Wraith and Leatherface. All of Wraith's perks empower your tracking in various ways, and Leatherface's Barbecue and Chili is an incredible tracking perk that can help you find new prey to chase. submitted by /u/Gentzer [link] [comments] |
