CQUI for Civ6 R&F is now on Steam! Posted: 31 Jul 2018 02:38 AM PDT As said here by the Devs: https://github.com/Azurency/CQUI_Community-Edition/issues/283 Get it here (for Steam): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1125169247 For those of you who do not know: this is a complete UI overhaul, the Community Quick User Interface, making the game that much more enjoyable. It's NOT a mod to the game itself, just the User Interface: every leader, unit, Civilization, everything regarding balance and content stays the same, but you finally have control over your empire. Some of the more noteable features include:
We all know how insanely bad the UI of the base game is. CQUI is one of several attempts to make the UI better, and the best one at that. I'd highly recommend this UI to everyone who's playing the game, it makes the game so very much better. Honestly, without UI mods i wouldn't play the game, the base game's UI is unbearable. Posted: 31 Jul 2018 07:28 PM PDT Naturally, it may vary with the map size (such as Huge vs. Giant), number of civs in the game [depending on your system and mod compatibility, it might be 22, 43, or more maximum], number of city states, and other settings. I see the AI Shoshone tending to turn out very well there - although that might just be from their expansionist AI. I don't think I've ever seen AI Egypt do well in YNAEMP- depending on who is in the game, Arabia or Ethopia or Songhai or Carthage tends to take them out. I think Rome has a quite rough start, being hemmed in potentially by Carthage, Germany, Greece, France, Spain, Byzantium, Egypt, and Morocco - they probably need 2-3 of those other players absent from the map [such as when running 22 Civ] to have room to expand reasonably. England and Celts get it rough if they're both in the same game, at first at least, as they camp up the Britain landmass. But if one of the two is missing, the island (Britain) start makes them (whichever one is there on the island) relatively hard to assail. [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:11 PM PDT How does it compare to Civ 5, what do you think rise and fall did good and what did it fail to do that the game needed? Is the AI, in your opinion, still bad enough to severely hold the game back? As someone who has yet to purchase rise and fall, and hasn't played civ6 in a while, I'm curious as what to you guys think about the current state of the game [link] [comments]

Dynamic/Realistic City-State Quests Posted: 31 Jul 2018 07:54 AM PDT If a city-state is being attacked by another Civ I don't think it's historically accurate (or common sense) that the city-state still wants me to 'Recruit a Great Scientist' or 'Send a Trade Route'. Give me an emergency or secondary quest of 'Save Us Against The Mongol Attack'. The AI frequently attacks city-states early. FIRAXIS - instead of beefing up city-states to build walls earlier let ME help them! [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 08:39 PM PDT So I played a game a few days ago and then brought it back up today. It seems my interface has changed. ribbons showing all leaders with science and military numbers below them, and the important part: when I click a city, the 4 (I think) options above the city to purchase/access production/buy tiles/ buy with religion points is all gone and you can buy tiles and switch around civilians straight after clicking a city simultaneously. However, I can't purchase anything or change production unless the option comes up on the Next button. Was there an update? Am I just blind to where the option was moved to? [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Jul 2018 08:10 PM PDT Hi, so, I'm new to the Civilization games and look forward to playing my first game. So, a buddy of mine had the original Civilization IV game in the original '05 discs and decided to gift them to me. I boot up my computer, install the game with both discs smoothly, and try to open the game. It prompts me with the message asking me to open it as an administrator. I change the properties of the .exe, and try to run it. The permision manager asks me to give permision, I click OK, and nothing happens. I try to run it with Windows XP Service Pack 2 compatability. Nope. Service Pack 3. Nope. Windows Vista and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and 2. No give. It doesn't give me an error or anything, just the prompt for permision which I OK and then nothing happens. I've tried opening with the disc 2 in, the disc 1 in, and no disc at all. Nothing works. Downloaded patch 1.61. Downloaded patch 1.74. It just won't work. Does anyone know what I can do? Multiplayer, who out there is playing multiplayer and what communities do u play at? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:19 PM PDT Just wondering who out there is playing multiplayer and if so what communities do you play at? I play at CivPlayers League, it is a no quitters league. [link] [comments]
How am I still getting rebel activity in my capital {Chandragupta}? (2 spies defending) Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:08 PM PDT Is anyone having a problem with constant rebellion due to enemy spies despite having defenders in the city? I have a spy protecting the city center and another protecting my campus (and adjacent districts), yet I'm still getting rebels popping up every couple turns. Experienced Civ 5 players,is this modded civ OP? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 06:29 PM PDT I recently installed The Sui dynasty civilization. I am very critical about modded civs,i only download them if they make sense thematically wise and are reasonabily balanced. The Sui dynasty mod is good thematically, and it didn't seem OP at first glance, but playing with it for a while,i'm getting some OP vibes from it. I'm not very experienced at the game though,so i want to ask the opinion of Civ 5 vets,is it OP? (UU and so on are listed in the workshop page in the link) [link] [comments]
Can I run Civ VI on my MacBook? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 06:21 PM PDT Hey y'all. I know Macs aren't gaming PCs but I've been really wanting to play VI and don't have any options besides this. I play V right now on a 1920x1080 monitor on medium settings with 30 FPS until late game. Specs:
I'd aim to be playing on native laptop resolution (1200x800) at lowest settings obviously. Don't need to play a huge/online game, just wanna get a taste of Civ VI. [link] [comments]

Cavalry not healing, and I HAVE HORSES Posted: 31 Jul 2018 05:45 PM PDT I was pillaged down to one horse resource, fixed it, and still they won't heal. No dark age policies in play. What am I missing? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 11:46 PM PDT I think it'd be awesome to do more immersive events like natural disasters that show signs ahead of time as to be equally focused on prevention as reaction. Also why not be able to enslave another civ or give more depth to consequences of war to give it more historical significance? All war currently feels the same throughout history, but with different units. Making the events surrounding geopolitcs more dynamic and responsive to the in game zeitgeist would be sick . Other ideas? [link] [comments] |
