True Dota 2 - Carry heroes in post-triples reality

Carry heroes in post-triples reality

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 09:24 AM PDT

You all know, that agressive duo-lanes are extremely popular right now, so how can you manage that situation on carry? It looks that in most of matches safe lane duo is totally crashed by enemies hardlane duo. So

1) You can pick something like semicarry, Razor or Viper for example, but theyre not so good in late (and most games on <5k bracket doesnt ends earlier than on 40 mins)

2) Going jungle. Another bad decision, cuz theres no money, exp and enemies hardlane getting extremely farmed. But it can work vs bad team and if youre on something like Luna

3) Pick some hardcarry, who isnt so bad on lane, but still good in late. And im searching heroes like that, but idk. Maybe easylane Sniper isnt that bad? Or Dusa. Tried Troll, but his range not so good, and he needs to snowball.

What hero carry players should pick to play normally in these duo-lane patches? Also sorry for my English

RU servers are much more enjoyable then EU West/East.

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:24 PM PDT

Long story short: From my first match for about 8 months I was playing at EU servers (4.8k MMR) but last days I was so sick of throwers, whiners and acc buyers that I decided to give it a try.

I played about 10 to 15 games at RU servers so far and I haven't encountered a single intentional feed or items break. Seriously, people speak much less and play more I guess.

I've heard tons of times that RU servers are hell zone of dota but at this point I am not even sure if its a meme or not. Yes, it might be worse if you don't speak RU language (I speak both eng and ru fluently) but I guarantee you that you should give it a try. I am finally actually motivated to play some dota because I know that my match going to be not just the dice roll for throwers on mine or their team, but an actual competetive match.

Parsing pick/win rates by tier in the current patch?

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 11:13 AM PDT

Is there a site that lets you search pic/win rates for heroes by tier or MMR, in the current patch? Opendota lets you sort by tier in the "meta" tab, but it only pulls data for the last 24 hours. Dotabuff lets you sort by patch (e.g., 7.18) but it lumps all the tiers together, or it lets you sort by tier, and it merges patches (only lets you do past 30 days, which includes multiple patches usually). It looks like Dotabuff Plus lets you sort by this feature, but is there a free site that has it?

Drow's talents

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:38 PM PDT

If you wanna see the talents they're in the comments.
Ok I checked the dotabuff for drow and got mindblown at her talent winrates:
10. Stats is as expected the better choice by 2.4%
15. This is the one confusing me the most, 25 attack speed seems pretty useless on drow especially compared to the gust talent. However, the attack speed wins by a whooping 7.4%
20. This one isn't that surprising just like the level 10
25. This is the most contested talent, with 20% precision aura winning by 1.9%
This really blows my mind especially the level 15 talent, my guess is that the knockback can be harmful in some situations. When do you pick each talent?

Why is Mirana core back?

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:24 PM PDT

What changed? Hasn't been played in either mid or carry in a long, long time and now she's apparently back?

Question about clinkz item build

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 09:44 AM PDT

I'm around 4.6k and I'm trying to play some more clinkz. I've been looking at some high mmr games and there are 2 main item builds that players do on clinkz:

  1. Deso -> hex
  2. Orchid -> nullifier

When should I go for 1st or the 2nd? Cause I've seen games where team didn't have a tower pusher and clinkz still went for orchid first or I've seen game where he was against pl or am and went deso first and it doesn't really make any sense to me.

I would really like to hear an opinion from high mmr players or some clinkz spammers :)

Hero good in any game

Posted: 07 Jul 2018 08:47 PM PDT

Hey there. been on a losing streak this week. Looking for heroes I can spam no matter who the enemy is, not countering an enemy or getting countered too hard.

I want to spam a hero and learn someone without feeling useless because someone chose my counter.
