| 6.3k analyst analyzing Legend 2 safelane Necrophos. Posted: 19 Jul 2018 09:53 AM PDT Hi, Stormyq here again. I've just completed my latest review on a Legend 2 safelane carry Necrophos. In this review I talk about item choices, how some carries need EXP, farming patterns as a Necrophos, positioning and taking correct fights. It is 23 pages in total. | How do I play viper better in the mid game? Posted: 19 Jul 2018 03:31 PM PDT I specialize in greedier mids (alch, sf, meepo) and want to get better at viper. Currently, he is the least greedy mid I play imo and I want to get better at him since puck sucks rn. I kick ass in the early and late game but feel like my mid game is quite weak on the hero. How do I need to play to maximize my effectiveness? Match id: 4014238682 [link] [comments] |
How can i improve my farm patterns ? Posted: 19 Jul 2018 04:41 PM PDT I want to improve my farm patterns and i want a reliable way to practice it,if you guys can told me where to find some farm patterns to mirror it would be very appreciated [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Jul 2018 11:00 PM PDT I had a thought yesterday that maybe I am missing some knowledge on drafting. Often it seems like the drafts win the game either in the laning phase or at some other point of game. Maybe like 60-70% of the time. I know counterpicks and roles, but I feel like I could learn a more general thought process on what the team needs. I have played 3.5k matches and am legend5. Looking for advice from more experienced players. What are your thought processes like in drafting phase (all pick, CM even)? Thank you. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Jul 2018 09:14 AM PDT As the title suggests, which hero is more viable to spam in the current meta and why? Any input will be appreciated! Also, which arcana in your opinion looks better and more worth it to spend on? :D [link] [comments]
Looking for in depth guides on everything (more info in comments) Posted: 19 Jul 2018 07:45 AM PDT Been playing dota for a couple years now and have 400 hours. (Long breaks inbetween) Thing is I suck. I just finished my ranked placement and was put in crusader 2. The problem is I don't understand what makes me bad and I'm not sure what to improve. I'm willing to put time into learning the game as I find it a tonne of fun so I'm trying to find guides that really explain everything. Most important things I'd like to learn are picking and counterpicking. I want to understand not just what hero's counter others but why. Item builds because I've only ever been able to follow the top rated guides in game. I want to learn to analyse the game I'm playing and choose the most suitable items. Specific hero guides would be fine but I'm sure i can find them anyway. Text or video are both fine or if anyone here has one. [link] [comments]
Playing Group Ranked with a big MMR Difference Posted: 19 Jul 2018 05:36 AM PDT I started to play a lot of group ranked with a friend of mine (Herald 5), who is almost 3k lower than me, but somehow we still mostly queue in a skill bracket only slightly higher than his. I mostly offlane plying all kinds of tanks, and get that friend as support to do a dual lane. At the one hand he plays mostly support, and at the other hand it allows me to handle the stressy situations, keeping the pressure off him. I try to speak out my thoughts, so he gets to know the intentions behind my actions. Furthermore I drop advice in key situations, to make him aware of them, and also save my life in some situations. The lanes worked suprisingly well, but shortly after I realized it was rather luck than skill, that won us the lane, and sometimes the game. Every game is somewhat of a gamble, as his misplays in key moments lose the lane we would have easily won otherwise. I'm aware that these 3k MMR make a huge difference in game awareness (especially regarding the fact that he played just 600 games), mechanics, etc. I still try to introduce him to this "level", as I think that he can make way better progress than keeping to playisolo in his bracket. The problem though is, that these repeating lane-, and game-, losses are killing my mood bit by bit. Now I was wondering if anyone had experienced a similar situation. I currently favour the option to move away from tanks. I think about playing heroes that profit not as much from duallaning, like Dark Seer, Enigma, or even Lich who could survive a trilane in the worst case on their own. Hence, taking away the pressure off my friend completely, and load it onto me, making the lane's outcome depending on me. It would be nice to have some other people's opinions and insight on this. Cheers, TFD EDIT: added "only slightly" in first sentence [link] [comments]
