Now, Vah Medoh's name is obviously based on Medli from Wind Waker (in Japan, her name is Medori), this fits the theme of the 4 beasts named after a Sage (Ruto, Darunia, Nabooru) although it is the only one of the 4 not named after a town in Adventure of Link (aka Zelda 2).

But did you know that originally, there was going to be a champion of Kokiri origin before the idea was scrapped? It is unknown if he was going to be a fifth champion or if he was replaced by one of the four ones that made the cut.

My theory is that Vah Medoh's was originally the Kokiri's Champion Divine Beast and was named after Mido, a side character in OoT AND also a town name in Adventure of Link.

Sure, it is weird to name it after this random dude and not after Saria but MAYBE he performed something heroic or note worthy after the events of OoT?

PS. The Rito and the Koroks were never part of the original idea of the game and were added at a later stage since they wanted to re-use some assets from the WW HD.

Need suggestions for categories for Zelda ranking

I'm currently playing through all the Zelda games and want to make a spread sheet with categories. Along the left column I list the games in release order. Along the top I have the categories of music, gameplay, story, bosses, dungeons. Can anyone throw out some other categories that they would use to rank them in?

I’ve owned this since the game has come out, as my grandmother used to work at Kmart. The back of the cartridge has a sticker that states “NOT FOR RESALE; DEMO GPK ONLY” but it’s the full game. Does anyone else have one of these??
