- Gohdan art
- During the creation of Ocarina of Time, level designer Eiji Aonuma played a prank on Shigeru Miyamoto by creating a temple design which was virtually unplayable. Miyamoto liked the prank so much he ended up using the design as the final version of the Water Temple

- My wife chose under-the-sea for our nursery theme. I think I came through on the decor (pyrography and colored pencil on birch)
- I can hear this picture.
- I propose that the Downfall Timeline is not speculative. The other two timelines are.
- Ok let’s get down to the real reason why people get so angry when one suggests “why not let Link talk?”

I propose that the Downfall Timeline is not speculative. The other two timelines are. Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:27 AM PDT The downfall timeline is when Link from OOT, as an adult, falls in the final battle to Ganon. LTTP is about a long, long time after this, when the finer details are lost to time. All we know is that 7 sages/wise men had to seal Ganon away. Nobody was there to defeat Ganon, so they just kinda locked him up forever. By virtue of LTTP being first, and OOT being written as a prequel later, I propose that this means the Downfall timeline is the default, and the ending of OOT is speculative. OOT was written with a full understanding of LTTP's plot. OOT was written to fill in the gaps in knowledge characters in LTTP repeatedly state they have by mentioning that the story has mostly been lost to time. OOT was intentionally written as a prequel, and it was intentionally written to inform you that the 7 wise men were not merely robed elderly men, but representatives from all across Hyrule, chosen by the goddesses. OOT was written to improve on LTTP's story by being a richer prequel... But it has to have a happy ending, and so it does. But that's not the real ending. Everyone says Link dying to Ganon is the speculative "what if", but by virtue of being written first, is it not possible that LTTP is intended as the real way things went down, and everything else after OOT is about what if he won? Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:37 AM PDT Personally I don't see the big deal with this. When I play Zelda I interact Link with his environment. I don't like to think of myself as being Link. I personally think Link talking (as long as he doesn't talk as much as an idiot doing game commentary and he won't shut up) could work. He could use expressions. I'll give you an example. When Link collects all of his memories in BOTW, after Zelda speaks with him it would have been nice to see a strong look of determination on his face. (Like Ganon......you're finished! Or something like that.) Maybe he could do what Silent Bob did in all of those Kevin Smith movies. Have a small word of wisdom here and there. So seriously guys why do some freak out about this? [Help] Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask Merged Romhack Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:51 AM PDT I was watching SpikeVegeta's stream on Twitch yesterday and I read some people talking about a hack where you would play Link to the Past + Metroid in the same game, unlocking Link to the Past items in Metroid and vice versa. They also mentioned a similar hack with OoT + MM, but I couldn't catch whether this was theorized or a real thing. Does anyone have a clue if this actually exists? If so, it would be so frickin' incredibly awesome. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 10:21 AM PDT So I've just got done with Forbidden Forrest and I can still only get 200 rupees max. So apparently I need the wallet upgrade. But in order to get the wallet upgrade from Outset Island, I have to have the bomb bag. So I go to Windfall Island per the Internet to get some password from the bomb shop so I can enter a Pirate Ship, complete some challenge and get the bomb bag...right? I have the Deku Leaf already. But when I enter the Bomb Shop at Windfall Island, there is no password or anything. I'm like halfway through the game and still don't have a bomb bag and still can't earn more than 200 rupees. Is this right? I feel like I've been screwed somehow. Do I really not gain the ability to earn more than 200 rupees until more than halfway through the game? Wtf? [link] [comments] |
