Theorizing Done in Literature

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 08:19 AM PDT

So this thread is really just a plug for a story that has been written by an author over on fanfiction.net. I have been in some recent talks with the author and I feel that their story really deserves more attention, especially from the more serious and devoted side of the fan-base.

The story basically takes a deep dive into the overall mystery of the Sheikah and how they connect to various mysteries behind the scenes throughout the series. I won't give anything away as it is a fantastic read and I would encourage anyone who really enjoys Zelda theorizing to take a look at it.

The entire story is extremely symbolic and has heavy emphasis on themes and connections. It jumps around at different points in the timelines. But what I really like about it that the author doesn't blatantly just come out and smack you in the face with the ideas. You are expected to know a decent amount about the games themselves and the theories that have been talked about throughout the years. (for example each chapter may be about different narrators, but they're never explicitly named, you are expected to get a sense of who is talking and what they're talking about by reading between the lines and figuring it out on your own) The story treats the reader with respect and the more you've been involved with the series the more you'll understand the little nuances in the story.

If anyone is interested here's the link: From the Shadows

Has anyone here read this story previously? If anyone has any comments or things they thought were interesting or thought provoking feel free to post them here to discuss. Or even better, talk with the author directly as they have stated that they would be interested to hear more discussion on what readers thought of the story. (Author: Marquard)

Despite finding her annoying in game, I always end up finding myself liking a song that throws in Navis “Listen!”

I plan on playing every Zelda game there is by release order, all leading up to the latest game. What should I skip, play but not complete or finish. Is there a graphical chart for this. Any advice or recommendations.

Can vegetarians eat Deku Babas? Like they are technically plants, but they still have characteristics of animals.
