How long were Link and Zelda on the run? Posted: 19 Jul 2018 08:40 AM PDT In Breath of the Wild, after all the champions die, Link and Zelda are on their own. But for how long? The next memory we get is Link's "death." We see that the Master Sword is very rusted and dented, which means they were obviously out there for a long time, but how long exactly? [link] [comments]

First time playing the Oracle games, about the animal companions Posted: 19 Jul 2018 10:48 AM PDT So, I just started Oracle of Ages. Many people seemed to be saying that Seasons was better, so I want to play that second after finishing Ages and linking my game to it. Main thing I want to know is how I can tell when it has become time to choose an animal companion. From my understanding, you can only choose one, and you get locked-in once you do (including through your linked game), but if you don't do a sidequest before a certain part of the game to choose one of the other two, the game picks the other for you. I don't want to just read a FAQ and spoil the game for me, but how will I know when it's time (or at least) the soonest I can do the events to choose the one I want before it's too late and I get locked in? I just met Moosh in Ages, is that supposed to happen regardless? Or did I already lock that one in as my choice because I didn't do something else? [link] [comments]
My personal Zelda Ratings and why BotW was an important game for my relation to the franchise Posted: 19 Jul 2018 06:25 AM PDT First of all, The Legend of Zelda is my favorite franchise. I grew up with A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time and have played every game since. In 2006 Twilight Princess was released, which is of course an outstanding game, but in my opinion copied too much from Ocarina of Time. Since then, I think the series has lost a lot of quality. The DS games were at most mediocre for me and Skyward Sword couldn't completely convince me either. It was way too linear and often repetitive and lacked an connected overworld. Breath of the Wild rekindled my passion for the series and I am really happy that Nintendo has taken this new, fresh path. Does anyone else here feel like this? Also, here are my ratings for every Zelda game released so far: [link] [comments]
| Playing through Link to the Past for the first time and finding it very difficult Posted: 19 Jul 2018 07:23 AM PDT I wasn't really anticipating this. The only other Zelda games I've played are the N64 titles and Wind Waker, which seem really easy in comparison. Getting through dungeons and dodging enemies seems to require fast hand-eye coordination, almost like platforming games. It kind of reminds me of Spelunky with how precise you have to be and how easy it is to die. I just beat the Ice Palace and am dreading what comes next. Some of the bosses are really hard too. Just venting I guess, still having a lot of fun. Makes commuting to and from work much more bearable. I've heard the NES Zelda games are much harder than this, don't think I'll attempt those. | Posted: 19 Jul 2018 10:14 AM PDT I recently got breath of the wild and I have never had a Zelda game before. Can you give me a basic rundown of the Zelda series please. [link] [comments] |
PC Emulator vs Virtual Console Posted: 19 Jul 2018 10:02 AM PDT Grew up on the N64 with OoT, then got away from Nintendo up until last year when I got the switch and BotW, then just picked up Majora's mask the other day to give that a go. My question to y'all is what to do about the rest of the games? Should I go with emulators on my PC or is there a Nintendo console with a solid virtual library that I could hit most of the "must play" Zelda titles? Also for fun what's everyones suggestions for games I need to play [link] [comments]
