You can still have a "Good Game" even if you lose. Posted: 06 Jul 2018 01:11 PM PDT I see so many people spamming "Good Game," "Cancel That!" When they lose a game which was very close. For example, I recently played an Assault match. We were fairly even, trading out in fights so none of us got each others tier 1's until we lost an important team fight at 18mins, then they just plowed through our t2 and phoenix, then won. I thought it was a fun match, no one was spamming at anyone "Nice Job," or "You Rock!" "Cancel That!" It was a genuine (rare) fun match, yet at the end there were many people using "Good Game," "Cancel That!" as a way to clarify they lost and partially lowkey bm against their teammates. I think people are stuck on the idea that you can ONLY have a good game if you win. We had no disconnects, no one was directly feeding, no one was trolling, no lag issues, I'd say the matchmaking was fine, and there was no toxicity. Smites Name Change Policy Posted: 06 Jul 2018 12:27 PM PDT Earlier this year, Hi-Rez changed their name change policy to stop freeing up old usernames that are inactive. Now, they have a ton of names that waste space, and the user that I want, has been inactive for four years, purchased zero items, and played 0 games. This is a team game. Don't quit the game if you get an assist instead of a kill. Posted: 05 Jul 2018 11:22 PM PDT I'm on PS4, and the amount of people who sulk and rage quit over getting an assist instead of a kill, is ridiculous. There's so much bm that goes on. For example, Cupid and Vulcan ult at the same time, but Vulcan's just happens to do more damage and he gets the kill instead of the Cupid. The Cupid rage quits because 'stats matter' and proceeds to AFK at base pinging the Vulcan for being a crap player. I've seen people run away from team fights because they didn't want to get the assist. I've seen people bm other players for not having more kills on a hunter/assassin/mage. Who bloody cares? The win is all that matters. This is an everyday story on PS4 (can't speak for Xbox and PC but I imagine it happens there too). Don't even get me started on people who complain about loading card stats. Actual quote from someone I used to play with, "That Artemis has more assists than kills. She must be really bad! LOL' and that Artemis then proceeds to win the game for her team because she a team fighter. Stats do not matter. This comes from someone who used to worry about my numbers all the time. I used to think I was a bad player because all my gods had more assists than kills, even on gods that had strong kill secure potential. If you play only conquest, your kills to assists ratio will be a lot closer as opposed to an assault main.
