This is my second attempt writing this, and I feel its important to reiterate what the original meesage was. So I've deleted my original post and made this, which is slightly more informative and level-headed.

Today when PUBG Corp/Bluehole announced Update 18 live server maintenance, they silently updated their changelog to indicate custom games would require a minimum of ten players.

Things to keep in mind when creating custom matches:

The number of total created custom games at once are limited.

At least 10 players are required to start the match.

While this update is on the test servers, only 2 players will be required to start matches

This is problematic and goes against what most people were asking for. A lot of people were asking for a way to start with just yourself, to allow training. This is one of reasons people wanted customs. The ability to play with a few friends also allowed fun thats not found anywhere else in PUBG. On test server, I 1v4 and 1v1'd people and we all had so much fun. We were able to have extreme control over our games and go at our own pace. We don't have another 5-6 people to join in, so the only other option would be to open to the public.

PUBG's main competitor, Fortnite, had a 1-4 player mode that was free and was equivalent to a custom server, known as Playground. It did not have as much customability, but i recall them claiming they're working on it. It took some fiddling to get it stable for that team, but they made it work. They even have announced plans to make it a permanent feature down the line. This move just seems like a way of saying "we technically kept our promise"

The other reason this is frustrating is because /u/PUBG_Riggles explicitly asked if customs would be okay in place of a full fledged training mode. And some people agreed and said that'd be alright.

I just want to know why this was changed, what plans are there to resolve it (ability to pay for custom servers of your own with less restrictions, self-host your own server, lower the amount to start back to 2).

..Until the proper fix is finished - nothing tilts me like spraying 7 bullets into someone's hands as they cover their face.

Consistency is key. Who cares if it slightly decreases ttk in the meantime.

This little glitch or desync or whatever it is is so damn annoying. It has gotten me killed plenty of times, and always wastes my time whenever it happens. And last night it also got me caught between two pieces of geometry on Sahnok that almost got me infinitely trapped.

And I know its not just me, Ive seen others talk about it online and Ive definitely seen it happen on peoples streams like Dr. Dis.

Custom Servers needs to be changed to a 2 player Requirement.

Once it hits the live servers your going to need 10 people to play.

I don't care for custom matches all too much besides the potential to practice.

Dropping it to 2 players drastically improves my ability to do so without being interrupted/killed by griefers in a 10 player match labeled as a recoil practice sever.

Coming from R6 I improved my game and aim so much by grinding out in terrorist hunt. And with no practice ranges incorporated, this will be a great addition to cover while a real practice range is created.

What are your thoughts?

Finally got my first Solo win...!

For the most part I hate playing solos, never have been about them, as I usually a playing with friends in duos or squads. I just enjoy playing with people because I'd rather have fun playing with others than being alone. But since I bought the Sanhok pass, actually got it on another site for $5, I've been more prone to jump in solos to complete some missions and try and find someone to die to go out fast.

This morning I turned my PC on, and decided to boot up PUBG to complete a few missions realizing how early it was, only around 8am, but I work part-time so most of the guys I play with are working or doing something else so I'm by myself. I hate playing random duos or squads because 50% of the time my teammates will leave and another 45% of the time they all drop to different locations, die and leave instantly, or the other 5% is a pretty decent team that gets us far to get top 10 so I'd rather play some solos to not worry about other teammates that want to do their own thing.

I looked at my missions and one of them was get a shotgun kill for Sanhok. I dropped in, killed a few guys, found a Shotgun and got my kill, but decided to play it out and low and behold I got my first solo win. I've played maybe 15 games total so I was pretty excited to win considering anytime I get near top 10 I die to someone prone in the grass (actually almost did that game).

I know it doesn't matter much to you guys that are possibly reading this, but it felt good to get my first solo win.
