I'm sick of the memes here, I want the discussion posts! try http://nr.reddit.com/r/pokemongo for desktop users or this for mobile/app users. Niantic support : https://support.pokemongo.nianticlabs.com/hc/en-us /r/PokemonGO FAQ: /r/PokemonGo/wiki/FAQ There's this Pokéstop/Gym near me which seems inappropriate. Can I report it? Use this link. However, Niantic seems to be preoccupied with other things now, so don't expect too much. We have Niantic representatives on both here and /r/TheSilphRoad - please do not ping them for bugs which are in the known issues page unless you have found a niche yet gamebreaking issue/exploit. Where can I find other players in my area? Try our regional subreddits list! Also, see the related subreddits or TSR's community map! If you have any suggestions for FAQs to append to this thread or for meta questions, message the moderators or mention /u/PokemonGoMods! [link] [comments] |
Salty Sunday - Rage Rants and complaints Posted: 08 Jul 2018 11:36 AM PDT Have you been the one missing the Mewtwo EX raidpass? Maybe you haven't been lucky the whole week and that damn raid Tyrannitar ran and everyone else caught him. Or the worst part, maybe it's monday again?! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Here we rant about everything that goes wrong, someone who sniped a gymspot ( ̄Д ̄), a missed Tyrannitar again (ಠ_ಠ) or that stupid bug which made you miss your raid because of the server desync, ending the raid prematurely (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ No personal insults, no trolls and provocation but all salty stuff is accepted.
Don't forget to hydrate after all the salt! [link] [comments] |
I caught a cop a shiny Articuno Posted: 08 Jul 2018 06:37 AM PDT I joined a last minute raid group yesterday during the last half hour of the Articuno event just trying to get that shiny bluebird. While waiting for everyone to show up a cop began walking over to our location. The gym sat on a prestigious local company's property, so I figured he was going to ask us to leave or something. The first thing he says is, "Have you guys jumped in yet?" We do a few more raids, nobody catching any shinies, and with about 10 minutes left in the event we start our fourth raid. Halfway through the raid the cop turns to me and asks if he can trust me. He says there is an 'incident' down the street and he has to go, and he asks if I can finish the raid for him. I assured him that I'm a trust worthy guy and he leaves his phone with me. Tap-tap-tap we finish the raid and sure enough mine doesn't shine. Half-bummed and distractedly scurrying to one more raid, I threw a quick ball on the cop's phone and wham-o, first try. Better check the IV out of habit. But wait... those sparkles. I know those sparkles. I caught the man a shiny. He ecstatically gave me a huge bro hug when I gave him his phone back, and he said he was just getting back into the game. Although I didn't get a shiner, I'm glad I could get this guy one. TL;DR A cop gave me his phone to finish an Articuno raid. I caught him a shiny. I didn't get a shiny. [link] [comments] |
Vote for Ralts for next community day! Posted: 08 Jul 2018 01:28 PM PDT We want a Gardevoir with a Fairy fast move! Let's make it happen! Otherwise, Bagon would be good. That being said, Bagon has a decent moveset though they could make a flying moveset viable for it. [link] [comments] |
[Photo] Teen singer & his bodyguard Posted: 08 Jul 2018 03:19 PM PDT My shaded Blastoise found his calling pretty quick! (Granted he'll get smoked with his low CP) [link] [comments] |
Blind Blastoise is cute... Kinda... Posted: 08 Jul 2018 08:23 AM PDT Soooo poor Blastoise ended like this in Pokémon GO, it's comical because Niantic failed sooooo hard on meet the hype of the players. I hope in next iconic characters they investigate better. I don't want an Ash hat Wurmple, but a Party hat Wurmple!!! Just for laughs... [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jul 2018 04:16 PM PDT Today a friend and I drove to a local college campus for the Squirtle event. The area is covered in art installations and most of which are all either gyms or pokestops. Since the school's spring semester just ended (and it's a relatively rural area) we weren't expecting to see many people. It was packed. And by packed, I mean hundreds of players. Multiple groups of college students, solo players, entire families playing together, you name it. You could hear people cheer when someone encountered a shiny, players exchanging trainer codes, as well as audible frustration once the event neared its end. The game felt alive, and the last time it genuinely felt this way (at least for us) was the summer the game launched. Anyways, I really hope to see this trend continue. How was the community day for all of you? [link] [comments] |
Stop being rude to people because they don't have as much play time as you. Posted: 08 Jul 2018 08:11 PM PDT This has been a long time coming. But here goes. There is an elite group of fanatics (not all of them) out there who for the most part have segregated themselves from trainers who didn't hit level 40 prior to raiding was introduced. It used to be a group that cared about the integrity of how you play and kept spoofers out but now it's more than that. It's now a group for record holders (which is great) and I'm sad to say elitists who refer to anyone, who isn't over 100m XP for example,-- a scrub. Doesn't matter how much knowledge or experience you have. No. They look at your numbers and if they don't match up to theirs don't bother looking to join. You're deemed a scrub and that's it. Seriously what is with the attitude? It is just a game. Not everyone has the time to play hardcore everyday. Not everyone has access to miles and miles of stops and gyms. I get that your world is shrinking everyday now that you don't feel special since many people can buy a level 40 pass through raids (like many of you did with lucky eggs) but that doesn't give you the right to shun others. What kind of a person walks around thinking they're better than others? If you ask me you're the real scrubs. Only a scrub looks down on other people. I'd rather play with someone with a great attitude who has just started out anyway. Character is what should be measured. Experience. A positive force. Respect others and be humble. You were a low level to someone once yourself. Cheers. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jul 2018 09:28 AM PDT Today I've only participated in the CD for 1 hour, and regret not evolving my squirtles, I thought I had time later on. But Niantic should extend the time to get the special move, at least a few more hours. In CD I want to be catching all the pokemons I can until the last minute, and would like to evolve them and choose the better ones after the CD. Niantic this can be done easily, most of people have lots of issues with that. [link] [comments] |
Did your app crash & need to be restarted over 10 times? Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:14 PM PDT Were most of them while trying to claim the research reward? Niantic. Come on :/ - my pogo+ essentially refused to work today as well and what with the already excessive burden of in game news & friends receiving items notifications I stopped bothering trying to sync it. This has been out 2 years? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jul 2018 02:34 PM PDT Title. I'm incredibly jealous. She almost didn't evolve it during the 3 hours because she thought it wasn't a big deal. [link] [comments] |
Was all ready for Squirtle Community Day Posted: 08 Jul 2018 02:21 PM PDT Was ready to represent true Squirtle Squad for this fun day even if Niantic didn't quite get it right. Had a blast and here's hoping we achieve our Squad Goals next year! https://imgur.com/gallery/1uVJ9L8 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jul 2018 08:39 AM PDT Look at his face! He is so happy! I think this is the best statue they have made so far. [link] [comments] |
Takeaways from the squirtle event Posted: 08 Jul 2018 03:21 PM PDT So after the event today I had two experiences I wanted to share with this subreddit. First, some pogo players are somewhat unaware of what is happening around them one guy literally bolted in front of my car and as I started pulling forward once he was far enough from my car, he whipped around and bolted back in front of me. Lol I get that its exciting but watch for cars people! Secondly there were so many parents and their children playing today it was so wholesome. Literally saw what looked like a mom, dad, and their two teenage kids playing and walking around. Love it and love seeing the hoards of people out playing. Reminder to play safely everyone! Getting ready to scatter these around town for Community Day Posted: 08 Jul 2018 05:50 AM PDT Printed these up last night so I could leave a bunch around the popular gyms and stops in town today. Happy Community Day! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jul 2018 02:41 PM PDT https://imgur.com/gallery/CzPxWcE I had fun catching all the squirtles during com day but the increased egg hatching was my favorite part. I made sure to have all 9 eggs either 2/5/10km and no alolan because I've already had my fair share of meowth. I got a decent amount of each egg throughout the event. 3 pichu, chansey, wynaut, feebas, 4 eevee, torchic, treecko, cleffa, azurill, tangela and my favorite elekid!!! [link] [comments] |
Playing pgo in rural area with 1 pokestop.. in a horse field... in 30 degree heat.. Posted: 08 Jul 2018 06:26 AM PDT The only pokestop in the area I live is located in the middle of a horse field. I've never bothered to participate in a community day for this reason as it would require me to go into town or the city. I thought it would be a GREAT idea though since its nice weather and triple XP for catches, to take my dog for a walk, sit in the sun for a bit, put a lure on the stop and catch myself some squirtles. It was an hour spent dodging curious horses and my dog coming together, getting sunburn, avoiding being seen by the farmer and getting covered in mud (and quite possibly horse sht)!! HOWEVER, it was so worth it for this. Never again but I'm v happy - my only other shiny is a magikarp! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:49 PM PDT Living in a rural area in Indiana I never though I would achieve this, but hey I guess it's possible. Now if only the Venuasaur and Blastoise were as strong as the Charizard. [link] [comments] |
Niantic had one job with Squirtle Squad community day... Posted: 08 Jul 2018 07:17 PM PDT https://imgur.com/gallery/tD2WGXt I stepped up to give the people what they wanted this community day! Free Squirtle Squad badges given out with 1/5 being leader Squirtle with pointy sunglasses. There are 5 expressions each with the possibility of wearing the pointy glasses and or a shiny. Overall I still think the event was great. The shiny Pokémon research rewards were a great idea. The community really came together to report and share them. Hope everyone had fun! Posted: 08 Jul 2018 06:24 PM PDT My friend introduced me to the game last night. He's always been a big fan of pokemon, and my girlfriend was getting into it as well so I decided to join in. I had no idea that the Squirtle event was happening today, so I freaked out when I saw 2 of them to each other. I haven't had this much fun with a game in a while. We spent hours and hours walking around one of the major universities in our city. I went from lvl 1 to 19 in one day. I caught 3 shiny pokemon and had no idea until my friend took a look at my pokemon collection and started flipping out. We found another group of people looking for raids to do and gyms to conquer. I have never seen such an active and communal following of a video game. All in all, it was a fun day and I'm hooked. Glad I found this game. Looking forward to the switch expansion games. 1:59 - a minute before the event ends and I get my first one!!! Posted: 08 Jul 2018 02:12 PM PDT Had a quest at 4/5 with a few minutes left to go and I ran all around to catch the fifth one. Claimed the reward with a minute left to go and got him!! No regular shinies, but this guy will do! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jul 2018 04:12 PM PDT I mean it felt like 2016 again and all the pokestops were lit. There were families and people my age slamming squirtle and we were barhoping. I didnt know how to get the sunglasses squirts but I asked a family of people at 330 and they filled me in about the field researches. Needless to say, I proceeded to catch a shiny sun glass squirt and evolve him to blastoise. Top ten day of my life.. bravo Niantic!! [link] [comments] |
What a lonnnnnng, strange trip it's been! Posted: 08 Jul 2018 03:34 PM PDT https://i.redd.it/xjusuk8ars811.png [Screenshot] Am 50! Have 4 kids. The boys all started out playing with me, but have since moved on to other things. They still come with me to EX raids, but most of these levels have been walking or riding after work. Adventure Week was my best week ever, nearly 4 million XP spinning new stops in my city on my bike with a handlebar phone mount. Articuno day was an easy 800K XP, followed by Squirtle Community day. I no longer have to worry about Pidgey evo parties! Only missing a few regionals, anyone have a spare Kangaskhan? :-) [link] [comments] |
Made a few little cuties for Community Day Posted: 08 Jul 2018 05:16 PM PDT I whipped up a few needle felted Squirtles to hand out today at the park near us c: [link] [comments] |
Today has been a good day.(personally) Posted: 08 Jul 2018 02:26 PM PDT Today withing about an hour gap I caught a Shiny Squirtle, a Sunglasses Squirtle, a 1071cp Camelrupt and a 1106cp Alolan Eggsecutor. Personally one of the best days I've had on this game. Granted I'm only just returning after about a year of not playing. [link] [comments] |
Today our squad became the squirtle squad. Pic inside. Posted: 08 Jul 2018 05:02 PM PDT As usual for com day I made a hat for the Pokemon of the day. But this time around I started working on the project as soon as Squirtle was announced and was ecstatic when they announced that we could catch the Squirtle squad variant because I had already finished 4 or 5 of these!! Squirtle squad https://imgur.com/gallery/a83KHdl It was 30+ celcius today but was totally worth it. Edit: spelling [link] [comments] |
