Sym’s Patched Weapon Got Massively Nerfed Posted: 09 Jul 2018 06:06 PM PDT Blizzard just fixed Symmetras weapon damage tick exploit but they did it in such a way it completely destroyed her weapon. There are so many damage ticks per second now you basically need aimbot aim to effectively damage, kill and charge up your weapon on anything other than a tank which is ridiculous. Blizzard literally increased the aiming requirement for the weapon 200-300%+ overnight from the first PTR version as a side effect of fixing the exploit. Also in adding more ticks of damage per second her damage is spread across more ticks meaning she does drastically reduced damage to anyone with armor. Which basically is every tank which she is supposed to be reworked to counter now. What a fail and to top it off everyone has armor frequently from Brig in the game now. Her old weapon(non rework) had just as much effective range basically( .5 meters less range like come on Blizzard where is the buff she needs) and had more reliable damage and is now most likely superior as a weapon compared to the current version which is ridiculous for a hero they said they wanted to buff damage wise and add to the damage hero list. She just got completely nerfed into the ground. All Blizzard had to do to fix the exploit was limit the number of times her weapon can be activated by a maximum of 4 times per second to line up with the 4 tics of damage it does per second. Or limit it to even 2-3 times. That's how symmetra 2.0's weapon functions you can't spam activate it like the PTR one. This would completely fix the issue. I think the Symmetra community deserves better especially after how long we've been ignored and abused by the reporting system you guys have implemented and has been massively abused on the Symmetra community since day one.
