Upgrade/Replacement Idea for the 9mm Pistol

Hi there.

If you are anything like me, you get real bored with the 9mm pistols and pretty much only ever pull them out when you are absolutely desperate with no ammo (which rarely happens) or just happen to whip them out by accident. The 9mm are lame and have no identity. Just a bland boring filler pistol for wave 1 or 2 when you are saving ammo for later rounds. And when those later rounds come, they are near useless for most perks. So I propose an idea and would appreciate some feedback on the idea to see if others like it.

Why?

All classes will have the ability to upgrade the 9mm pistol, but instead of just making it "do more damage" (which I think is a boring concept and idea for perks and upgrades imo) I want the 9mm to be upgraded to a comparable side arm with an identity that matches the class it is on. This is a bit different from standard upgrades since they never change the model of the weapon, and (if ever implemented) is also completely optional! This idea is purely a mid-late game upgrade that you can do. I stress that point because some people will surely dislike some ideas, or find other uses for the 9mm.

Price?

So starting out, this upgrade would cost ~Ð750. This is pending balance and may have to be Ð1000 instead, but depends on how the balance would be in the end. Each class may have a different amount if balance ended up being stronger/weaker on class variants, but the price point would be around there. I also would have it so that the upgrade could be sold back to change it back to the standard 9mm if you needed the money. Would not be a permanent upgrade unless you wanted it to be. If already have dual 9mm, the upgrade will be Ð150 cheaper.

Carry Weight?

When it comes to a change in weight, I would say it should only really increase it by 1kg if at all. This could be class dependent, but I would prefer no weight change. These upgrades are not something that is supposed to be an OP alternative to the 9mm, but rather a more fun and viable alternative.

What if I swap classes?

On changing of class mid round, your side arm would be replaced by the correct variant for the new class. If there were to be changes of cost/weight between the different side arms, then instead switching classes would cause your side arm to be "auto sold" for the correct amount of money, and reverted back to the 9mm.

So what are the new guns you ask?

That is the real question you are probably asking if you are reading this. Like I said, each class will have their own unique variant. I have included some pictures for reference, but do not take them as the exact example in some cases, as they are primarily to be used as a concept to work from on some.

(I made a spread sheet of them cause reddit formatting is hard :< )

I usually don't make these types of post, but I thought about some of this a decent bit and would appreciate some feedback on what other people would like to see, or possibly recommend themselves (or maybe just hate that idea and would prefer the OG 9mm). I also don't like making these types of posts, cause sometimes I feel that it discourages creators from using them and being accused of stealing. If that happens to be the case, steal away and make some sick guns for the video game.

There might be a few perk combos that make some things OP, but I honestly think several perks need reworked. Having a perk that just is "X DOES Y% MORE DAMAGE!" is always better, but almost always way more boring as an alternative. The Fallback perk may need tweaked a bit for example. And the max ammo capacity is a bit of a question mark still, so I left it at starting ammo for now.

As an alternative, these could be added as their own weapons to the game. I just really dislike how boring the 9mm is. It isn't charming in any way. It is kinda just there.

Hi everyone, don't knw if this has been asked before but.. since everyone's been having issue with designs for monsters by TW, and with the now upcoming Matriarch, why don't TW allow a competition for monster design?

We have a community of 32k on reddit alone, alot of whom I believe have great ideas which TW can be inspired and work off.

Also, M32 needs acid rounds. RE4.

Weapon replacement packs replace some of the current weapons you have with cool new looking but statistically identical weapons (Ex. M4 is replaced by Spas 12). The replacement models can be equipped in the inventory screen.

Here are a few examples below of weapon replacements. All of these weapon suggestions have roughly the same caliber and mag size as the weapon they replace, along with a similar rpm, so that they would realistically be as effective as their counterparts.

Support SG 500 - Model 870 Boomstick - Stagecoach shotgun M4 - Spas-12 AA-12 - USAS-12

Commando AK-12 - AK-47 M16-M4A1 SCAR - G36 or Galil Stoner - M249

SWAT MP7 - Grease Gun MP5 - MP40 UMP - Thompson P90 - Lanchester Kriss - PPSH

Demolitionist C4 - Semtex or an IED M79 - M320 M16 - M4A1 RPG - M72 LAW

GS 1858 - Taurus 357 Magnum

SS EBR - Springfield Armory M14

Berserker Crovel - Fireaxe Claymore- Zweilander (TW just add the claymore as a weapon and make the Zweilander the dlc skin for it pls) Bonecrusher - Knightly Mace and Shield

As a server operator, I like keeping my server set to allow takeover and all that.

But when I join my server and the people playing on it vote to kick me without giving me a reason like, "Hey our friend is trying to join can you leave?" or something like that. No, they all just vote me off without a word.

I get giddy logging into the webadmin and kicking everyone.

Long story short: It works wonders actually communicating to people rather than just vote kicking for no reason. I would have just found another server and let them all finish their game of suicidal on long(wave 8/10)

A way to perfectly balance EDARS

Bug with the Neon Precious Flame Thrower. only goes through the colors after purchase. after youve fired any ammo it'll only show the skin while firing. If you drop it and pick it back up the skin stays how its supposed to be, constantly showing the color changing.

The server system in this game is literal aids. Everytime i want to jump into a game with some friends ALONE, we have to use the shitty server browser since their online matchmaking doesnt work at all if u set the filter to friends only. And even when we do take over a server we all have shit ping. And then random people join anyways. And attempting to play custom maps is impossible. I literally sat for half an hour yesterday with a friend just scrolling through server names to find ones that have some custom maps allowed And everytime we would join one we would have to suicide only to find out the server list has nothing but the boring stock maps that we have played a hundred times b4. Why is it that i cant just get a map from the workshop, invite a friend and fuken start a game. I mean ffs its not like its some new invention. Fuken counterstrike source and 1.6 allowed you to do that and these 2 games are older than my dead grandfather. And dont tell me to go make my own dedicated server cuz i am not gona fuk with my router setting just for that crap. I swear to god just attempting to get into a map you want with some friends is more of a chore than studying engineering in a fuken university jeez.

The .500 Magnum, the Dealgle and the M99 AMR

After shooting all three IRL. I can say that the .500 Magnum is more pleasant to shoot than the Deagle. (If it has the muzzle break that the new-ish models have). And the M99 AMR feels like the wave of heat that you get when using Acetylene to cut/weld.
