I draw concept-art for Fenix's Summer skin :)

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:38 AM PDT

My problem with the recent skins/mounts is not that they cost gems, its that they have to be bought in all colors at the same time..

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 01:24 PM PDT

Il gladly throw 800 of my gems at you for one of the alterac mounts, but you can put me in a dress and call me nancy before i spend 2k gems on a bundle for a single mount or skin i want, only to get a ton of other colors for the skin/mount that i will never use. Them being gems only is enough and not a problem at all, but why do we need to buy every damn blaze skin at once instead of selling them seperatly?

Junkrat is balanced and all but his build diversity is literally zero right now. Can he get ANY change for his weaker talents?

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 10:54 AM PDT

I not asking for a rework just some change for his weaker talents. It's already 9 months since his release, until now only has received changes for his talents in one patch and didn't mattered..

Edit: Balancead = Decent WR , Pickarate in pro play and HL. Don't feel oppressive to play against. (My opinion of balancead hero..)

So you removed perma-armor...

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 09:14 PM PDT

...because you "didn't have a way to clearly communicate it".. and then you kept talents which give temporary armor... but don't show it in the game, only in the talent description, if they happen to give only physical or spell armor, and the enemy must search through talents picked tab screen to know you have it?

Missed opportunity: all Azmodan's Globe talents should be named after the seven deadly sins

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 12:20 AM PDT

Source

When it comes to Azmo's dunk talents, we have:

  • Greed - level 1;
  • Gluttony - level 1;
  • Wrath - level 1.

You may start seeing a pattern, that is realised by the level 20 talent:

  • Pride - level 20.

And then...

So there are four talents named after some of the seven deadly sins.

And then there are three remaining talents that are not named after the remaining sins.

If i can do the math right, there are total of seven globe talents, only some of which are named after the seven deadly sins.

Referentially unplayable.

I'v been thinking about Tracer and what makes her not that fun to fight against.

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:24 PM PDT

Now i won't say it the exact problem, but i see most of the issue is her walk down killing, as she is able to sustain damage to her targets and it is even more effective on character who lack a mobility option. Yes, she can be CC to death by certain characters, but they might not be there and wont be a option.

So i have been thinking of taking a page out of Smite mechanics and apply an attack move speed penalty. To sum it up Tracer would have a self slow active when she is attacking, kinda like D.Va in mech form where she has a 15% move penalty. I can't be for sure how much it should be I don't have the tools to try the theory.

If this did happen, lets say a 10% penalty while attacking, i see a few thing that might happen. Users would have to use blink charges to secure kill more often for they will be out of range every so often, which can create opening to kill her more often the more she uses blink charges to keep up with a target.

It could make her less attractive to pick, so some things will need to be compensated for it. I'm not sure I lack the tools to actually test it to see if it will help or not.

pretty much the title. I dont know if it is a bug or not. Technically the Isolation does not hit Abathur. It hits the Clone.

There are lots of reds and purple skins, is it so much to ask that a couple more buttons get clicked when making tints? It's one more thing to throw into bundles for higher gem price, one more thing to take spots in lootboxes, some of us will happily burn shards on them..

And come on, tell me Lil' Ragnaros ouldn't be PERFECT in pink.

Can I change Yrel's abilities from "double press" to "press and release"?

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:21 PM PDT

She feels so clunky. Want to get an ability off quick (as with most of them the charge isn't useful), no can do. Just mashing buttons till it happens. Feels it would be much easier to press and release (or just to press once). I know there's a lot of interesting ability settings was wondering if this was on there!

Some numbers (and thoughts) on Raynor's new level 1 talents.

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 11:51 AM PDT

I was pretty excited for the Jimmy rework so I went on PTR to check things out.

First, here are the level 1 talents

  • Veteran Marksman. Quest: Every time the primary target of Give 'Em Some Pepper is a hero, increase it's damage bonus by .75% permanently.
  • Ace in the Hole. Deal 35% more damage to enemies slowed or stunned
  • Exterminator. Basic Attacks deal 50% more damage to minions, mercenaries, and monsters. This is increased to 100% when Inspire is active.

And this is what I noticed.

When the new Raynor talents were revealed I certainly was interested in the quest talent at level 1 (Veteran Marksman) just because it seems more fun and it's like a minigame where you make sure every 4th hit you have you use to poke your enemy. But the truth is it doesn't hold a candle to Ace in the Hole. It's so much frontloaded damage (all damage, not just basic-attacks) and isn't gated behind a quest. Moreover, with his talent at level 7 (Unstable Compound) it attaches a 10% slow to his trait for 3 seconds. Not only does the slow apply before Give 'em Some Pepper does damage, the duration of the slow is just long enough that you can have 100% uptime on a hero even without using Inspire. So the level 7 talent essentially always applies Ace in the Hole to his trait, aside from targets that cannot be slowed like structures or bosses.

While obviously there's a lot of utility involved with Exterminator, Veteran Marksman doesn't seem all that pickable to me.

Here's what the damage looks like at level 20 hitting the training dummy. I do not have the Bounty Hunter talent (the new "giant killer" at level 16)

The damage here is the end result of 4 attacks on the dummy. Three basic attacks and the attack with Give 'Em Some Pepper. Total damage of 4 attacks.

  • 1282 (0 stacks of Veteran Marksman)
  • 1321 (21 stacks)
  • 1338 (30 stacks)
  • 1356 (40 stacks)
  • 1375 (50 stacks)
  • 1393 (60 stacks)
  • 1412 (70 stacks)
  • 1430 (80 stacks)
  • 1449 (90 stacks)
  • 1467 (100 stacks)

I stopped after that. Without using a spreadsheet, I'm not sure at what point Veteran Marksman would be better than Ace in the Hole across 4 attacks. All I can say is while it does remain to be seen, I'm going to take a wild guess and say 70+ stacks in a regular match is probably very unrealistic.

Here's what 4 total auto attacks look like for Raynor with Ace in the Hole and Unstable Compound. Again, no giant killer at 16

  • 1368 damage at level 20 with Ace in the Hole. This is the damage Raynor achieved when his 4th attack was his trait - meaning the first 3 attacks were not buffed by Ace in the Hole because the target did not have a slow or a stun on it

  • 1624 damage at level 20 with Ace in the Hole. This right here is when you "lead" with Give 'Em Some Pepper - meaning all 4 of his attacks were benefited from Ace in the Hole. It blows Veteran Marksman out of the water without having to stack a talent quest at all.

Additional things I've noticed:

  • Bounty Hunter, the new "giantkiller" (which is like half as good as giantkiller and comes at 16 instead of 13) synergizes with Veteran Marksman only a tiny bit. It's a 3% HP damage buff regardless of how much damage Give 'Em Some Pepper is doing. The only variable here is how Bounty Hunter does allow you click on your trait every 40 seconds to instantly apply Give 'Em Some Pepper to your next attack, effectively giving you a nice burst if you're conscious enough to click your D key as soon as Give 'Em Some Pepper damages your target. This means you get one extra stack of Veteran Marksman every 40 seconds.

  • Now Ace in the Hole... it buffs all of your damage by 35%, including your Penetrating Round (Q) which conveniently now has a 20% slow attached to it, as well as either Heroic ability. As of right now, Ace in the Hole has more synergy with other talents than Veteran Marksman ever will. The cooldown reduction for your Q at level 13 (Debilitating Rounds) becomes more valuable as well.

  • Not a major detail, but again, the splash damage of Give 'Em Some Pepper is buffed by Ace in the Hole, but not by Veteran Marksman.

Is there something I'm missing here? Is there another utility by Veteran Marksman that isn't obvious to me? Otherwise Veteran Marksman or Ace in the Hole (or both) need to be changed to bring them closer together in power.

What is it about picking [[Water Dragon]] that turns people into salt mines? Even in winning games?

Posted: 04 Jul 2018 03:58 PM PDT

I genuinely want to know if I'm fucking up here. Supports are my favorite, and I love a good Li Li pick to counter lots of aa. I have a decent winrate with her, hardly ever die with her, and most of the time if I'm having no trouble healing by the time we reach 10 and my team seems smart in their positioning, I'll go Water Dragon. Its fun as hell to play, I have greater success/winrate with it, and most importantly I find it comes in handy way more than Jugs. Jugs takes a lot of control away from me because it prevents me from blinding while its active. Dragon allows me to secure kills and get my team out of a bad situation while still backing it up with heals and blinds - I love it.

But, I've never had an ability pick on any other hero get me so much grief consistently when I pick it, even when we win most of the time with it. I was just in a very easily winning team, I was keeping everyone alive, and shutting down Raynor consistently, we only had 1 death from a dude who was solo pushing, but as soon as a Dragon came out, I started getting flamed. I tried to explain why I picked it and was just met with "lol whatever noob".

We won that game and I was MVP but, like I said, this is a regular occurrence. It happens all the time when I pick it and nobodies even died from lack of heals. I'd like to chalk it up to "bronze-minded noobs don't know what they're talking about," but is there something there that I'm missing? When should I pick jugs without a doubt? When should I never pick dragons?
