Hi Everyone,

From our last post, we are looking to continue to update rules to better align with our sister sub, /r/FortniteBR. Please see below all updates to the rules. We are also looking to add more moderators to our team

Support Requests

This was up for debate and discussion on our last post. After much discussion, we have decided to remove all support related request involving account ownership, hacking, and transactions. We understand that sometimes it takes a highly upvoted post to warrant a response from Epic. We all can agree that Epic could improve on the response time of their customer service team.

The bottom line is we do not want this to be a help support forum, nor should it be. This subreddit should be a place where people post their game strategies and funny clips. This was a tough call to make by the team, but we feel that the subreddit can do better.

Giveaways, Surveys, Charity

Over the last few weeks we have seen and removed a ton of posts relating to this. To clarify on this rule, all giveaways, surveys, and charity items will only be allowed per moderator discretion. If you wish to submit one, you will have to send all the details via modmail, where it will be reviewed and confirmed or denied. On a case by case basis, we will inform you of what needs to happen in order to be approved.

Petitions

The use of the word "petition" or any variant, has shown to be a karma farm comment that takes little effort. Threads that include phrases such as "Petition to have Epic do this", will be removed. We feel the community can do better than these low quality karma farm posts. Feel free to post your ideas that are well thought out.

With the impending launch of Canny Valley in 5.1, we're looking to add a few more moderators to the sub.

We are looking for people who are passionate about Fortnite and are willing to dedicate the time to assist with the daily tasks keeping the sub running. It's a lot of menial work but a job that needs to be done. We are looking for the following:

  1. Any time zone worldwide
  2. Minimum age 18
  3. Love Fortnite

Hi. I'm /u/blublublah, (pronounced "blue-blue-blah") but most people call me blu or blub. I'm from Hawaii, and I do my moderating from a grass shack. I began playing Fortnite in December 2017. I started with Battle Royale but eventually made my way to Save the World when I was given a friend code as a gift (thanks NessMan9). I've preferred the PvE mode ever since. I'm also an avid bacon collector and professional medkit finder.

I have experience moderating on Twitch and several small gaming communities on Discord and Facebook. I look forward to working with the mod team to improve the subreddit and prepare for the free to play release of Save the World later this year. Option To Blacklist Unwanted Materials

Sorry if this has already been suggested.

Lately i have been spending a lot of time both in missions and out just managing my inventory and removing items i dont want/need.

For instance, i no longer need tier 1 materials like copper ore or stringy twine, i also do not need flowers. I would like to be able to blacklist these items so they are not automatically collected and take up valuable space in my inventory.

This is a quality of life thing but something i feel could make a huge difference!

Party vote to kick for AFK

Everybody gets annoyed by leechers who go AFK in a mission. I've been trying to think if there's a fair way to give the party the ability to vote to kick these people without creating an easily abusable system.

My thought was you could put it to a vote the same way as when you try to increase difficulty level. To kick somebody would require a unanimous vote. If the person being voted on doesnt vote it counts as a yes. If they really are afk this would provide a test. This would also build in a protection against abusing a party kick option. I've been sending this suggestion to Epic. Just curious what others would think

Thank you for helping me help you.

It's not often I get dropped into a level one Atlas map where you let me build your base (I have low level schematics just for this!), not cover it in ramps, and let me go get my dailies done before you start it! Really appreciated the cohesion and not reporting me for "ignoring objectives" when I didn't intervene during your escapades from the base to kill your own husks. I only jumped in when I saw you struggling because I didn't want to take away too much from your game.

An option to help with Stormsheild defences

It would be incredibly useful to have an option to help with a SSD, having an option (like the play with others) where you are put into someone else's storm shield defence to help them. Instead of having to browse the global chat where everyone spams "trade me" it would be easier to have it so you can queue up by 1 button. I think it should be like the play with others where's it's in every area, stonewood, plank, canny, twine and it puts you with others in that area. Also having an option to choose the Specific storm shield defence like, SSD 7 or SSD 10. I just thought this would be a cool idea to add to Fortnite and would be very helpful to everyone that plays it.

2 suggestions!

You recently just added the option to unslot from the collection book for 20 v bucks which is awesome!

How about changing your weapon from obsidian/brightcore to shadow/sunbeam and vice versa for 20 v bucks?

In addition to that what do you guys think about being able to make a lower teir weapon after evolving it? For example if you have a 106 weapon you can still make an 82 if you have Malachite etc. This would be very useful if you are going into low level missions to help friends but don't want to waste your higher teir materials. Would also help people who evolve their weapons and realize they don't have the mats for them ahah.

A Social Hangout for players in StW

Hi, I don't know how to start this because it is my first reddit post ever, but please, don't give hate and don't be that rude, I would appreciate it! (^ ~ ^ )

So, I have a suggestion (I don't know if a thread was already created about this and also I don't know if it's really great), but anyway. When I was playing a mission which was Rescue the Survivors, and Ray said that "We would need a bigger base" and out of curiosity I started to think about that we only saw Homebase once at the start of the game (well atleast at PL 41), and I was talking about this idea with a friend of mine and we thought that the game should have a physical Social Hangout for players to interact with each other and do different stuff, like buying, upgrading, prepare for missions, do expeditions, etc. and not just being in a sad lonely lobby. Also, with this idea we could appreciate more the designs and the creativity from Epic Games on making a homebase we can actually appreciate and interact with.

And to finish I have to add that English is not my primary language, so I apologize beforehand about some mistakes I made while I was writing the thread and I want you to give me your opinions about it, just don't be too rude about it (^ - ^ U)

To the Plankerton 4x Rain Farmers..

To the same 6-7 guys my friend and I kept bumping into over and over again farming the 4x Pure Drops of Rain for the last 2 hours.

Thank you for actually making farming down in Plankerton enjoyable, always quick to head straight to the atlas, activate and then helping defend, even if it was a case of us all just rotating through our turrets. It was refreshing to be able to farm rewards with randoms and they actually contribute
