Find your Battle Cup Party | July 7 Posted: 06 Jul 2018 09:27 PM PDT Battle Cup - July 7 Battle Cups this week and for the foreseeable future have a few noteworthy changes from the previous season: Battle Cups appear not to be limited by when Battle Passes are active. They still cost $0.99 to participate, however is FREE for Dota Plus Members (more details: https://www.dota2.com/plus). Winners will be awarded 20,000 shards in addition to the special emotions and profile accolades. This thread is dedicated for you guys to find a party for weekly Battle Cup. During the event all posts about finding/forming a team will be removed to avoid spam. This thread is only for people looking for a team, if you are forming a team simply reply to or PM anyone looking for a team that suits what you're looking for and invite them. It's been a fantastic year back in the Dota scene and I'm beyond excited to participate in the International next month. This year has been incredibly busy! We have been working more than full-time competing in qualifiers, minors, and majors but I realize that hasn't been the case for many teams/players. As of today I want to announce the North American Dota Challengers League will begin operating in late October. Just got smashed by some smurf. It's really shit to be trying to play battlecup when this shit happens every god damn week. You, mr/ms. Smurf, get to feel like a big boss stomping bad players. Good for you and your low self esteem, pretty poo for the rest of us just trying to play some fair doto. I really loathe people who smurf but feel it does have its place in ranked sometimes (like if you want to test where you get placed by the ranking or whatever). But battle passing ? Please don't. Think about the people trying to play and have a shot and winning a trophy designed for them. Not you. Go play your main account for that shit. I'd like to balance out some of the complaint posts with some positivity Posted: 06 Jul 2018 10:13 PM PDT This years TI looks to be very competitive, which is great! Although there appears (at this time) to be a small gap between the top 3 teams and the rest of the pack, upsets happen, and the rest of the pack seem very competitive with eachother, who knows what will happen! The game seems to be pretty well balanced right now as far as heroes go...there are a few unpicked but we have over 100 heroes who were viable last supermajor, pubs aren't being stomped by snipers and PA's and whatnot, great job Valve balancing team! We have alot of extra content that other competitive games dont have, alot more reaction to the comminity from Valve that other games don't have, they listen to us alot! The pro scene, so much good stuff. Broadcasting talent....amazing...so many good personalities, the production value is getting better and better for events, and Valve is making improvements on the DPC system which went very well I think considering it was the first year, yes it got top heavy with invites, but would you rather the system change over and over between each event or for Valve to learn and listen and make changes for next year like they have? Our hats are so sick btw, have u seen the looney shit in the other not-to-be-named? Have you SEEN juggernaut in all his gold swag? Its amazing, I feel like a rapper in a music video when I queue (WutFace) The Dota API allowing for opendota, dotabuff, so many other tools, things not possible in other games Theres alot of really good things in the battle pass. Underhollow is great at face value, its a fun custom game that has perks. The cavern crawl i really got into, big improvement from the questlines. LAKAD MATATAAAAAG! For the love of all thats good, don't hurt people Posted: 07 Jul 2018 08:45 AM PDT I was in a game just now, and I was doing pretty ok, I had an idea about what we should do and how that would lead to us winning the game. We had control, and even though I was slightly tilted, nothing was wrong. However, then I died, not for the first time, but not also not the 15th time, and my teammate told me to "die crying in the corner alone, whilst puking all over myself". I am not depressed and I am not alone, but I used to be. Saying things like that can cut deeper than you might think, especially when someone already feels that way. Point is, after he said that, it really got to me, it made me triggered and it made the game harder than it was in a very unnecessary way. I know most players are civil enough already, but please, when you are flaming someone, there are lines you cannot cross, because you don't know who is behind that screen.
