Solstice of Heroes Info Posted: 17 Jul 2018 02:43 PM PDT >>DIRECT LINK<< BEGINS: Tuesday, July 31st ENDS: Tuesday, August 28th NEW ARMOR TO UPGRADE After you visit the Statue of Heroes, you will receive an uncommon "Scorched" armor set at Power 240. On each armor piece is a series of objectives that you will need to complete to upgrade the armor. Once you have completed the objectives, return to the Statue of Heroes to upgrade to the next set. After you upgrade your Shattered set, you'll receive the "Rekindled" set at Power 340 — with a new list of objectives. Once you complete those objectives, your reward is the "Resplendent" Armor Set at Power 400. One final group of objectives to complete, and you'll unlock the Masterwork version of the armor set. If you love the way the Shattered or Rekindled sets look, and would rather show those off, we've got you covered. Each Resplendent Armor Set offers the previous versions as ornaments, so you can pick and choose how each piece looks. REDUX MISSIONS One of the ways you'll upgrade your armor during the event is through Redux Missions. We have hand selected 5 story missions and given them some slight alterations. Each mission can be accessed in the Tower by finding its statue. Here are the five missions for the event: I. Homecoming II. Spark III. Payback IV. 1UA V. Chosen MOMENTS OF TRIUMPH The final five Triumphs will become available at the beginning of the Solstice Heroes event, and can be tracked in-game. Your Triumphs will be tracked by in-game bounties that are obtained at the Statue of Heroes. As you complete and turn in those Bounties, you'll unlock rewards that can be redeemed at the Statue. EXTRAS There's also the Solstice Engram available from Tess Everis. You can earn three per account by completing the event Milestone on each of your characters. No matter what activity you play in Destiny 2 during Solstice of Heroes, you'll receive one Solstice Engram in addition to the Bright Engram you earn for leveling up. HERE a look at some of the rewards that will drop from the Solstice Engram. New Emotes as well. Armor Glows also come from the Solstice Engram. These can be applied to any version of the Solstice of Heroes armor sets, to provide Guardians with an enhanced look. Armor Glows are unlocked permanently, like ornaments, and they shine brightest when your subclass element aligns with the element of the Glow. DEVELOPER INSIGHTS In preparation for the Solstice of Heroes event, the July Update for Destiny 2 kicks off for all Destiny 2 players on July 17, 2018. This update introduces 6v6 Quickplay for the Crucible, Iron Banner upgrades, Exotic Armor tuning, new Exotic Catalysts, Prestige Raid Lairs, Vanguard and Crucible Bounties, the Moments of Triumph event with 400 Power gear, and more. Why is Mida-Multi Tool's Catalyst earned as a comp. crucible drop? Posted: 18 Jul 2018 07:28 AM PDT Does not make any sense to me because the whole radar while ADS perk and radar is disabled in competitive crucible. Karnstein Armlets Good Again Posted: 18 Jul 2018 05:58 AM PDT Tested these at first and thought, healing boost and regeneration on melee kill seems nice but in end game play, melee kills in general are super risky since enemies are harder to kill, etc. I was farming the sturm catalyst in the castellum and decided to put them on again just for another way to heal as devour warlock. It was then I realized what makes the gloves so good. Initially, I was getting stomped without them. Drang and Sturm are close-mid range weapons, and in order to engage, I'd have to engage at distances that would often get me surrounded. At that point either combined fire/grenades/melee would take me out even with devour. With Armlets though, their secondary effect of constant health regen for 8 seconds made me almost unkillable, and combined with devour restoring grenade energy and health with each kill, I felt probably the most powerful I've ever felt in the game. $79.99 For Just Forsaken? Help Posted: 18 Jul 2018 05:00 AM PDT I log on to destiny 2, and then go to the director screen to find the Forsaken icon next to the Traveler. I go over and check it out, it is an ingame preorder. I get excited because I heard of it being $40, like TTK. I go to pay and its the $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition. I already have the 2 other DLCs, and I own the Destiny 2 Deluxe Edition. What else is included in the Deluxe Edition of Forsaken that I don't have? Also ow is there any way I can I change it to the standard version? UPDATE: Human Error, issue solved. Posted: 18 Jul 2018 12:24 AM PDT I was sherpaing a friend through the normal Leviathan after running prestige Eater of Worlds and got the gauntlet ornaments from a chest at dogs. Could have gone for the EP Shotgun, but saving that for later this Week. Maybe could have one phased the boss.
