Hi everyone!

In light of the imminent launch of Update 2.0 and Curtain Call on PS4, we've decided to "refresh" the Update/DLC Megathread. Please restrict simple questions about these two topics to this Megathread - balance discussions or build questions about the new killer and survivor are welcome, but multiple "How many Auric Cells does the Clown cost in the store???" threads are not really needed. ;)

I'll try to keep this thread updated with FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), please read them first before you ask an already answered question for the 500th time :)

MY SHRINE OF SECRETS IS GONE/DOESN'T UPDATE HELP?????

  • We are currently waiting for an official statement from BHVR about the Shrine and when it's available again. Please stay tuned.

I want to buy a character in the in-game store. How many Iridescent Shards or Auric Cells do I need?

  • 9.000 Iridescent Shards ("free")
  • 500 Auric Cells (direct purchase with money)

Do I get the corresponding survivor/killer if I buy the other character in the store with Iridescent Shards or Auric Cells?

  • No. If you want to purchase both characters at once, you have to buy the usual DLC bundle. Otherwise, you have to buy both characters separately in the in-game store.

What is the exclusive cosmetic you get for purchasing the DLC bundle for Curtain Call?

How do I rotate the character models in the in-game store?

  • Hover over the character model with your cursor
  • Press and hold X
  • Use the left stick to rotate

Do people get a compensation if they bought any DLC prior to Version 2.0 and the ability to unlock content through playtime?

  • No.

Are Player Account Levels (PAL) capped?

  • No. If you reach after PAL 100, it will reset to level 1 and you gain 1 Devotion. Rinse and repeat.
  • Devotion is just a representation of how many PALs the player has earned. Example: 5 Devotion means that the player has reached PAL 500 in total.

If the Player Account Level resets after 100, does this mean my character levels get reset as well?

  • No. Character levels are part of an entirely different progression system. They are not affected by Player Account Levels.

Why am I not able to close the hatch?! It was in the PTB!

  • The hatch shutdown mechanic was PTB-only for testing purposes.
  • BHVR has confirmed before the start of the PTB that this mechanic will not be included in the live patch

I downloaded the update and when I logged in, I had more Iridescent Shards than before. Is this a bug?

  • No, it is not a bug. This is a login bonus you receive once if you log in the game from June 12 to July 31.
  • The exact amount of Iridescent Shards you receive is 1.800

Add a third perk option to the bloodweb to lessen the perk grind for those of us with multiple teachable perks

With all the new killers and survivors that are being released, the grind for good perks is harder than ever. I just spent 400,000 bp just trying to get ruin in my bloodweb ONCE and failed. I feel penalized for playing multiple killers and purchasing their unlockable perks, as I now have to deal with 48 perks that can show up in my bloodweb three times each. That's ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FOUR times those perks can show up in the bloodweb. I think a great idea to ease this process is to add a third perk option to the bloodweb around killer level 30-45 so players who unlock all the perks aren't hindered by an unnecessary grind

2x Bloodpoint Countdown

I hope this clears up many doubts alot of people have.

Edit 1: I said in one of the comments that Shrine would be up when PS4 get their update, I was wrong, the Shrine is now considered a DLC and its getting pushed for a few days I believe. Good thing is that PS4 users can now play with the Clown! Enjoy your well deserved DLC ! :D

Edit 2: I thought today's update would grant PS4 users to play with the Clown, but now I know what it wasn't. Sorry for misleading some of you!
