True Dota 2 - Spectre's 60.72% winrate

Spectre's 60.72% winrate

I've been spamming spectre recently in the low 4k bracket in SEA and winning almost every game (17 out of past 20). I only play a game a day and don't consider myself very good at this hero, but if you understand item choices it's so hard to lose. The only time I lose is when its a complete stomp on all lanes and its a 20 min gg, or a player abandons or something.

While being one of the best late game heroes spectre can have a large impact in the mid game even when behind with proper itemisation such as blademail urn. There was a great guide on this sub a while ago that had excellent item choice discussion, a valuable tip being: if you want to get radiance, put another item such as yasha in quickbuy. If you are about to die before you can buy relic (cour should be next to the secret shop when you are approaching 3800 gold) buy a yasha or diffusal instead. Another thing to note is that manta as a first big item is very viable, often much better than diffusal if you are farmed and want to fight early. I only buy radiance 20% of games when I am uncontested, otherwise you are depending too much on your team to 4v5.

The most important fight in the game for spectre is often in the mid game. I feel like the game is often won if spectre and her team win a teamfight in the mid game especially when the team is behind. It gives spectre space and team gold to farm another item that can secure the game. For example if a spectre with nothing but treads, hood, aquil and wand at 15 minutes can already win a teamfight, you should surely win the next one with a manta with smart play.

If lane is completely lost you can jungle with quelling blade, stout shield and ring of health.

The hero is just really strong right now, has great comeback mechanics and very hard to stop once ahead.

Support Naga

Posted: 28 Jun 2018 03:37 PM PDT

I've been wanting to start playing support Naga for quite some time, got a couple of questions:

1) What seems to differ in terms of itemization and skill builds between a 4 and 5 Naga, whilst we're at it what even are the ideal item/skill builds? I personally feel as though she should be played as 4 ideally but if you find yourself in the "position 6" type of scenario, what would you do?
Meteor hammer seems to be picked up on this hero quite a lot but it seems like in some games it might not always be worth trying to rush it. I also shouldn't forget about the different talent builds, what are your thoughts on strength vs agility for instance?

2) What is the best "rule of thumb" to follow when using Song of the Siren? In theory this ult can really change some team fights round if used correctly but I just feel as though I'm too passive with it, should I even bother trying to initiate fights with it as a support?

3) Something I really like about Naga is the ability to be able to stack multiple camps, I've actually been practicing this recently in lobbies and have quite some success, but keep in mind this was in a lobby with no enemies and just an empty map pretty much. In a real game it just feels like things are going by way too fast to find some proper downtime to set it up and all, especially when it comes to roaming priorities and all of that. I'd really like to hear some opinions on this particular point as I feel as though it's something really important on a support Naga.

4) Lets say you get to a point where you need to transition into a core (ultra late game), what would the first core items be to pickup? Octarine/Butterfly/Skadi seem pretty good imo, but I'm not 100% sure.

5) How does a support Naga properly position herself in fights? Should you just be going all out on someone netting them then surrounding them with illus and riptide? Or do you sit behind your cores and just follow up?

Big thanks for any responses!

[Meta] Can we include patch version in post title for better search?

Basically the title. I often use Google to search for tips on heroes and they don't have an easy way to filter on publish time.

If you are winning mid, should you still pop into jungle?

Should you try and push wave and then stack jungle camps if you can clear them, even if you are winning? or is it better to contest denies?

Daedalus or divine rapier on morphling?

Should I go daedalus/divine rapier on morphling for his damage instead of stat build which benefit for ethereal blade?
