Posted: 29 Jun 2018 09:17 AM PDT Seriously, there's a gorilla scientist, a floating omnic god, an angel who resurrects people, a wraith demon who steals people's souls with his endlessly respawning shotguns, I could go on forever. If you don't like him, that's cool, I get that. But stop trying to act like he jumps the shark, they jumped the shark at launch [link] [comments]

Do people not understand where the Sombra's problem is? Posted: 29 Jun 2018 01:10 PM PDT I've been reading through numerous posts on official forums and on reddit and I have a feeling as if people got no clue what Sombra's actual problem is. Everyone seems to be focused on infinite translocator and stealth time. While I appreciate the effort blizzard development team on trying to make her more appealing to more players, they still didn't address her actual issues. Funnily enough, every part of her kit can be destroyed by some random damage now. Want to hack? No, coldown. Want to cloak? No, you can't. Want to translocate? No, somebody destroyed it becaise it can be heard 20 meters away through walls. To quote fitzy "how does this make her viable?". Really, how does it? Yes, she has EMP and hack to initiate, but apart from that she's just plain bad. Her kit is not consistent and she can't contribute much in a teamfight. She only has her gun and that's it. You can't use her whole kit because a single damage taken will cancel it mid-fight. It is not consistent, not reliable, she is now the old hanzo. His damage was not reliable and inconsistent so everyone hated him. Now he's one of most played heroes. Blizzard changed what had to be changed in order to make him more reliable (arguably he is a bit too good now) and he's great now. What Blizzard did is the exact opposite. They focused on things she had good going for her (even though the cloaking/decloaking could be improved) instead of improving what had to be improved in order to make her more viable. I bet that if Blizz actually listened to Sombra players and improved her realod a bit, did some QOL updates and added a small treshold for hack/invisibility she would be hella more useful mid-fight. TL;DR: Sombra needs changes in every other part of her kit rather than in invisibility and translocator. I also realize this will probably be downvoted into oblivion because reddit. We need a “formidable opponent” endorsement for the enemy team Posted: 29 Jun 2018 04:28 PM PDT Whenever i endorse an opponent it's usually because they were good or fun to play against, its never because of them being good sports. Some players make me go "damn, that guy's a good shot" so to me it would make more sense to have that as an endorsement alongside sportsmanship as a way to compliment the player while endorsing them for something applicable to someone in nearly every game I understand the endorsements are more aimed towards positive behaviour in game and socially but especially for console you cant show sportsmanship unless you count NOT teabagging or spawn camping. if not this then something different should be available for the enemy team's endorsements [link] [comments]

Blizz, please when an enemy destroys my translocator, let me know in a VERY NOTICABLE way. Posted: 29 Jun 2018 08:29 AM PDT I know that now translocator ticks all the time but, let's say I'm in the team fight on the point, I throw my translocator on the highground and Widow sees it so she destroys it, taking away my ability to escape. I'd like to see something like "YOUR TRANS OUT FAM, U ON YOUR OWN NOW" because with the fight on the point the ticks and that little sound translocator makes when it's destroyed, get lost. The reason Hammond/Wrecking Ball crashes/lags PTR so much right now Posted: 29 Jun 2018 12:35 PM PDT If you've played PTR with Hammond in your game, you've probably noticed frequent crashes and frame rates massively dropping. I was messing around with Hammond in a custom game today, and I noticed after about 20 minutes that I was walking in a sea of bullet casings. It seems that they don't despawn, or have a riduculously long despawn time. He fires ~25 shots per second, so this quickly accumulates. I believe that these are supposed to despawn over time, and this may explain why fps drops as games go on. The also don't seem to unload when you travel to a different part of the map... There are probably other issues as well, but this might explain the very low frames (simulating thousands of bullets which don't despawn will seriously decrease performance) [link] [comments]
