Halo 2 Speedrun at SGDQ 2018

Just like AGDQ's Halo 5 Speedrun earlier this year, Halo 2 is up next for this upcoming SGDQ! Now, let's get you all introduced to what GDQ is.

 

Games Done Quick, otherwise known as GDQ, is a biannual charity marathon event where players speedrun video games. AGDQ is the Winter event, while SGDQ is the Summer event. Everything goes to charity, and they've raised millions nearly every year to help those in need.

Halo 2's last appearance at a GDQ event was last AGDQ 2017, which was run by Cryphon. He destroyed Halo 2 in 1:42:53.

 

This year, Ranabundana is running Halo 2. He just recently beat Halo 2's speedrun record, so lets see how well he can do this time around. It should be amazing to watch.

 

So, when can you see this speedrun, and where?

The Halo 2 speedrun is at Tuesday the 26th, 11:39 PM CST / Wednesday the 27th, 12:39 AM EDT.

I've seen a lot of people, even people that hated Halo 4 and 5 and/or haven't played since 3 or Reach, basically people that gave up on the franchise, even some people that have never played Halo, say that they're excited and interested in Halo: Infinite. Sure I've seen a fair amount of people go "Meh" or even further with "HALO WILL ALWAYS SUCK", those sort of people, but overall, everyone seems to be on board with Halo: Infinite so far, which is really cool to see :)

Every time I see an ODST drop pod land, I imagine a mushy, broken body being ejected from it in many wet pieces. The impact is just too damn hard.

Halo reach "winter contingency" on LASO. This was my first LASO mission attempt ever, as well as my biggest mistake. Ended up at the very end so many times just for the zealots to kill me. Spent 6 hours and 10minutes on this shit. I didn't even finish it, gonna try again tomorrow.
