I wouldn't mind an OoT and MM HD for Switch.

Re-release the 3DS versions of the game and upscale them. I would like to play the best versions of the game in HD on TV.

Any remaining development for URA?

Posted: 10 May 2018 07:26 AM PDT

I was wondering if there was any active development for OOT URA? I've found several playable"new" levels some modders have made but I have been so hungry for URA to become a thing :(

Am I alone in thinking Zelda is better when it's not open-world?

Posted: 10 May 2018 02:51 AM PDT

Don't get me wrong, BotW is amazing, but it just felt... lackluster. The enemy variety was low, the difficulty curve is pretty poor and the divine beasts (or shrines) were nowhere near as memorable as normal dungeons.

Nintendo sacrificed variety for scale and open-endness, and it shows.

The bottom line is I prefer more linear Zelda experiences, as the dungeons, areas and the overall experience are more varied and colorful. If the next Zelda game is to also be open-world, I truly hope the dungeons will be more varied.

Favorite/Least Favorite First Boss?

I always see threads about people discussing what was the best final boss in Zelda history so I think it'd be fun to have a thread about the opposite: the opening fights.

In Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, there is a part of a song in the OST that seriously reminds me of a Zelda theme.

Posted: 10 May 2018 04:24 AM PDT

This has been bothering me for years and I need to make sure I'm not the only one who hears this. There's this game I've always loved called Gauntlet: Dark Legacy with a fantastic OST, and a little ways into this game you come across a Castle world. This is one of those games where every stage has its own theme, and a little ways into the Barracks level, it starts to play a melody that seriously reminds me of the Hyrule Castle theme.

The part that sounds familiar begins at 0:32. This has bothered me for years. Please tell me I'm not the only one who hears this.
