I don’t wanna be that guy, but Link’s BOTW costume in HW...

Posted: 27 May 2018 08:16 AM PDT

It really drives home how annoyed I was that Link was right handed in BOTW. His gauntlet is on the same arm that holds his shield, which doesn't make any sense since that arm is already protected by the shield.

It's not some that's "important", but it just kinda bothered me. I get why Link was right handed in TP and SS (motion controls and all that), but Link has been left handed every other time we've seen him. I guess I just don't see a clear justification for it in BOTW like I did with the other two.

It took six to seven months to get, but it was totally worth it. The back has my last name on it.

The Oracle Games Can Still Take Place After Link to the Past

Posted: 27 May 2018 06:35 AM PDT

The reason that the timeline was retconned was because Zelda in the Oracle games didn't recognize link, but they would have interacted in Link to the Past.

However, one thing people seem to forget is that Link made an unknown wish at the end of LttP. All we see that happens is everyone gets revived and celebrates at the end.

A wish that could have been made was to have everyone revived and their memories reset to before Agahnim attacked. This way, Zelda would never remember Link, and when they meet in the Oracle games, it would be for the first time.

This seems like a pretty clear explanation to me, but if I am missing anything, please say what it is

It's dangerous to go alone.

Take this!. Found it at my local pub. Tastes kinda grapefruity. I think I'll have to order three the next time I'm out.

Would you like it if Link had a rival ?

Posted: 27 May 2018 03:02 AM PDT

This is something i've been wanting to see in a Zelda game, having a recurrent opponent who isn't a bad guy, but is just getting in Link's way like rival in pokemon. I think it could be really cool for him to have this kind of companion and occasional allie.

I liked to fight dark Link and Jolene (who was the closest thing of a rival i can think of) so it could be interesting to have another humanoid boss but with his own set of tools and equipments. Plus, teaming up with him would feel really cool. If handled correctly, i think having a rival could be a cool side activity in the game.

What do you think about something like that ? Would you welcome it ?

Would you be interested in a Zelda metroid Ania spinoff or crossover?

Posted: 27 May 2018 08:14 AM PDT

If Zelda were to create a metroid Ania spinoff, perhaps even a crossover of Zelda and Bloodstained, would this be a popular game idea? Personally I think it'd be one of the most interesting games ever.

Unpopular opinion: Fi is one of my favorite characters in any Zelda game.

Posted: 27 May 2018 12:43 AM PDT

Say what you will about Fi slowing down gameplay to a grinding halt in Skyward sword, whenever you find a new bug, or when your batteries are running low, but every time I get to see her do her little dance around the pools at the end of temples, my heart just melts. Not to mention her Hyrule Warriors moveset being one of the most enjoyable in the game.

Ocarina of Time overrated

Posted: 26 May 2018 06:04 PM PDT

Why people says that? I was 8 year old back in 1998 and there's was nothing like this game, so obviously the awards and reviews are based on that. I understand if you play the game 20 years later and you say (well it's not up to the standards of modern gaming) but even 20 years later this game does some things better than modern action adventure games and even modern Zelda game. So why would you say this game is overrated, if you take a trip back to 1998 you will understand that 3D action adventure games were a mess and ocarina of time fixed a lot of things. What do you think!?

Just beat ALBW for the first time

Posted: 26 May 2018 05:22 PM PDT

What a great game! I was really pleased with the final boss. The whole game was just consistently fun, even if it wasn't really challenging. The Swamp Palace, Desert Palace, and Thieves Hideout were all soooo good.

This was the first handheld Zelda I'd ever played. What should I try next? I was thinking Minish Cap, but I realized I can't get it on my 3DS (I do have a Wii U; can I play it on that?). The Oracle games? Link's Awakening?

how the heck did you guys make sure you found every shrine?

Posted: 26 May 2018 06:41 PM PDT

my edited shrine map

I had to upload two pictures of my map to twitter, download them, and plug them into krita to edit together one map.

Then I counted up all of the shrines I had already done, with the complete shrine map superimposed on top to see what I was missing. And then I had to go through and figure out which ones I HADN'T done.

All of this because it was impossible for me to see what I was missing by looking at my t.v., then down at my phone, and then back at the t.v.

I'm sure that not everyone else did this much work to figure out which shrines they were missing, so what was I supposed to do? Was there an easy way that I missed out on? Bc god forbid I have to do this much effort for the korok seeds.

(tagged spoilers in case someone didn't want to see the shrine map)

Who was the biggest omission from Hyrule Warriors final cast?

Posted: 27 May 2018 12:11 AM PDT

Hyrule Warriors has a pretty great cast of playable characters, all things considered, however there's always room for improvement. Who do you think deserved to get in the most, but didn't? Personally, I feel like the biggest omissions were Groose and Linebeck. I mean, Toon Zelda was great and all, but the fact that she stool a spot from Linebeck will always make me salty.

BoTW question

Posted: 26 May 2018 10:50 PM PDT

do the construction workers ever leave Link's property? They went to that wedding in Terry town and I was like YES finally they'll be gone. The they were back under my damn tree and it's annoying as all hell to see them everytime I enter/leave the house. do they ever leave for good?
