Hello reddit community! My name is Fitt3dcap ( CFN is DSC_Fitt3dcap). I'm a Grandmaster rank Kolin who is trying to be more in terms of offline presence. I have a shaky performances at NLBC ( although I don't go much) and last major I was at, I've got 13th place ( that was Winter Brawl) while the Homie, Nephew, won it all.

Anyway, I've made this thread to introduce myself to the community as I hope to interact with other Kolin lovers ( or just fans of the game) while also improving on my road to be more than just an online warrior.

Question about Frame Trap (Giefs Gym)

I'm doing the GG workout for frame trap confirms, and I realized that even though I hit after the initial block, it's not always a counter with the c.lk >> c.lk starter.

The second c.lk connects, so it hits during s.lp startup, but it's still no counter. If I try other variations (lp >> lp, c.lk >> s.lp, lp >> mp etc.) the "Counter" sign always pops up.

I'm using Ryu against a crouched Cammy, have "Block All" and the only block reaction is s.lp (was trying to confirm that counter doesn't pop up all the time so I disabled the other block reactions for now).

Could anyone please explain this to me?

Why no old women fighters in SF?

So far, we've had Retsu, Gen, Dhalsim, Oro, Gouken, Zeku, soon we'll have G, and I'm probably forgetting someone, when it comes to the list of older men who've been featured in Street Fighter.

And yet we haven't had a single woman fighter who doesn't look youthful. Seriously, what gives?

This is blue ocean design space that Capcom should start exploring.

The closest I can even think of in any fighting game is Sindel, and she just has grey streaks in her hair, doesn't really seem to have any other aged features at all, and is scantily clad like the rest.

I wonder if this is just a symptom of the relative low profile that older women in media have in general - something you can easily see, just as one example, when looking at movies and comparing the ages of the men who are leading actors with the women who play their romantic interests in those movies.

C'mon Capcom, give us an old woman who kicks butt.

Does anyone know if Bison's VT2 has any advantage/techs?

One of my main questions about VT2 of Bison is that little mini-backstep he does right before he launches himself for psycho crusher. I was wondering if it's a viable, solid tool to counter, or get out of jabs like any of the light buttons?

Does the hitbox stay where he originally was even though he is back off one step as he's charging for psycho crusher? or does the hitbox move directly with him even for that little backstep?
