It seems rather dishonest from HiRez that I could not vote on the last two weeks of the Spring SPL and can't vote on the Master's matches even though I bought the Spring Ticket. Posted: 10 May 2018 08:08 AM PDT When I spent the gems on the Spring ticket I did so because I wanted to be able to vote on all the spring matches and the lan. However, ever since the summer ticket was added, it has not been possible to vote on the remaining Spring matches without purchasing the summer ticket. Would guardian-exclusive items help support be a more viable role? Posted: 10 May 2018 01:11 PM PDT I usually dont like class exclusive, but every tank item nerfed recently has been because of warriors. theyre clearly in a balanced spot right now. and every tank item nerf is just hurting supports more and more. so why not give guards better itemization to keep them relevant? supports are the worst theyve been in seasons, and easily the worst class of S5. in the case of hunters, theyre fine, mages and assassins are just too strong and it makes the adc's job harder. supports just dont bring enough anymore. theyre aura and cc bots. they dont soak enough damage, and other classes are getting more and more cc that used to be exclusive to tanks. a support building full defense should be nigh unkillable by nearly ANY means (and no, they currently dont have high damage unless the god has a SEVERE tradeoff. sobek's abilities do like 200 each, minus his ult which has a massive windup and leaves him vulnerable to all damage). yet a janus combo with a good build can eat 33% of a tanks HP. not saying supps need to be op. id rather they stay balanced. but id also be happy to see items that could give health based on current protections, or giving more xp when they get an assist, or just SOMETHING that makes them feel relevant. lets not forget, obs shard caps at under 200 prots. which is stupidly low. submitted by /u/Sorivius [link] [comments]

Player reviewed reporting Posted: 10 May 2018 08:06 AM PDT Commenting on a post a couple of minutes ago, I thought I'd ask the community their thoughts here. Players seem to get frustrated at either fake reports or actions not being taken against players that are reported. What if Smite had a system like CSGO's Overwatch. For those that don't know Overwatch is a system where players who are a certain rank in ranked, review player reported VOD's for cheaters or trolls. They then confirm if it was a cheat or troll and if a certain number of reviewers agree it was, an action is taken against that account. The players in the review VOD all are assigned fake names so that you can't take action against an account name based on that. This system seems like it could work in all non harassment reports in Smite. Players could review AFK and intentional feeding reports and if a majority of reviews say it was accurately reported, an action would be taken. This would free up the report reviews to be for harassment only so those actions could be taken quicker. Along with that increase in speed, players would get confirmation reports are being handled as they would be a part of the system. A couple things I failed to mention above. In CSGO players are awarded for accurately reviewing cases. We could do the same here by granting booster, favors, or even a small amount of gems to get players to review these reports. In converse to that, if you inaccurately review enough cases (say it was a violation when the majority disagree it was), you'd lose your ability to review cases. The system could track reporters too and those that made too many false reports, could have action taken against their account. Players that waste time reporting players because they are mad would then be given a small timeout. What are your thoughts as a community on this? Would you review cases?
