Twitch Phishing - 182 Phishing Streams In 2 Weeks

I run phishing.rs with a few people and we've been monitoring twitch.

In the past 2 weeks alone we've recorded 182 separate phishing incidents

That means 182 separate twitch phishing streams!

These imposter channels pose as official Runescape streams and steal users accounts.

Below I've included our compilation of the 182 channels and offending links

I'm posting this because something needs to be done, the problem is getting out of hand.

I'm hoping Jagex can communicate with twitch to enforce certain rules for the runescape twitch community

A required phone verification before being able to stream in the runescape community is one possible solution

I've personally tried contacting twitch myself but yeah, phishing.rs is a very small community driven project.

We've also been constantly forwarding all of the information to [tipoff@jagex.com](/) but it's becoming expensive sadly

Runescape has a lot of replay potential, and I personally love starting over. I've started an Ironman about 2 years ago and play it still. Every now and then I think about starting a new one, Group Ironman or not, trying new methods of training to progress. One thing has been keeping me from doing all this, and it's auras.

Auras, love them or hate them, have become an essential part of the game, and we can't remove them without debalancing it. It took me 1.5 years and 2 premium packages to buy all the PvM auras I needed, and now I'm waiting months to upgrade my skilling ones. I simply don't feel like starting over just to find myself time-locked out of PvM auras and daily Jack of Trades.

So why not award players loyalty points per total level gained? 100 per level wouldn't hurt - you'd have 270k by the time you're max total, which is enough for all the berserker auras and Supreme Jack of Trades. Maybe throw in a nice 9900 bonus for each 99 skill, and you could buy some accuracy auras, too. It wouldn't hurt a single aspect of the game, and would motivate people to keep playing.

I felt so sorry for the adventurers. I tried talking to the warrior but my character decided to keep the information to himself without so much of a choice.

Please, let us give a choice to reveal the method, as well as the ability to give them the dramen staves to let them enter Zanaris. This could be one-off XP or some gold. Could be MQC requirement.

PSA: Jagex Silenty Nerfed Skillchompas!

Using skillchompas now sets your pickaxe/hatchet level to the tier of skillchompa, items still gain xp and perks still proc. Pre nerf you could use any tier chin and it would not lower your pickaxe/hatchets level.

This only applies to using them for mining and woodcutting from your inventory with a hatchet or pickaxe in your hand.

You now must use crystal skillchompas to get the old xp rate, using crimson would effectively make a crystal hatchet a dragon one.

How I found it:

Was testing out alaea crabs xp/h and decided to try with chins, used some low tier chins and my xp rate drastically dropped. Figured it may just be a bug or something with the crabs and switched to other mining spots like seren stones and same thing, xp was worse with low tier skillchompas than not using them at all.

Please allow Rapid Growth to be used on Calquat Trees

I don't really see why it can't or shouldn't be done.

It's just annoying since it's on the same growth schedule as your fruit trees until you use rapid growth on those.

Barbarian Assault Discord Server!

Hi Reddit!

I made a post several months back regarding the new formation of a Barbarian Assault friends chat, BA Teams. Since then, we've been doing all we can to grow the BA community, allowing it to reach a much wider audience. We believe now is a good time to expand because BA will be spotlighted in 4 days (Monday, May 14)!

As a part of this goal, we have created a discord for the formation of teams, organization of guides, and general discussion of roles and strategies.

Some notes about the discord:

  • Voice chat is not required! You are able to talk to others, but if you prefer not to, you can just listen in on a voice call or just opt out of it

  • This discord will not replace the fc. They will be working in tandem to form teams and discuss all things BA

  • There are no requirements to join. We don't require you to know any roles or have played before. We even have dedicated teachers to assist new players!

With the discord currently having more than 100 players enrolled, it is quickly growing into a large community. I hope to see many of you there! Happy 'Scaping!
