In short, a small diagram was found of several diamonds that look like they create keys that are linked together before pointing to a Warmind symbol with a keyhole in it. Can Swords please get an ammo capacity increase in PvE?

Worldline Zero has an ammo capacity of 27. For an Exotic Sword this is tragic. The Exotic Swords from Destiny 1 such as Raze Lighter could have a capacity of up 71, with the lowest being 45. You could even get too 100 with the artifacts.

Swords are fun to use in patrol, but they are not even close to their effectiveness in Destiny 1. Swords like Dark Drinker were my go-to heavy in heroic strikes, nightfalls, and even raids. It's no fun when after a few heavy attacks all your ammo is gone!

I sincerely hope to see a buff to how much ammo swords can hold in PvE and a damage buff would be welcomed. Also, please let us use shaders!*)

So, What Exactly Was Wrong With the D1 TTK/ROI Style Progression System?

Maybe I'm not remembering correctly or I'm looking back with the rose tinted glasses, but what was the problem with the post Y1 Destiny progression system that needed "fixing?" As it stands now the path to progress in D2 is all kinds of jacked up. I understand wanting to slow down progression so you don't have the hardcore members of the community at max power on day 1, but the current system just seems like a nonsensical jumbled up knife party. Seems like a good system would be story gets you up to a power level to do post story adventures/regular strikes, which get you ready to do heroic strikes, which get you ready to do raid/nightfall/escalation protocol, which get you ready for prestige. And the brakes are applied through end game rewards being on a once weekly lockout. This is a clear path that makes sense, and you can throw in occasional milestones and exotics at any stage for a slight bump.

Right now you hit a soft cap halfway through the story that you can't blow through unless you do the raid or get lucky on milestones. It nullifies the gear reward for doing heroic strikes or adventures or any non-raid activity. It also means any exotics you find are instantly underpowered. Come on there's got to be a better way that balances measured progression with activities being worth your time.

Log in on all of your characters to get destiny companion app/ ishtar commander working again.

As the title reads, I've been stumped going through the same motions for the past couple days trying to re link my ishtar commander app to swap loadouts but turning up with a database error

Logging into the destiny companion app I was told I had no characters and to link my account to bungie.net, which I already have.

Turns out logging into all your characters updates the database and allows you to customise your loadouts on the fly again.

Just wanted to let you know that not everyone on this sub hates everything about this game.

I enjoyed my playthrough of the DLC campaign, even if it was on the short side, and am looking forward to doing the new Adventures when I have time this weekend.

I also am having a ton of fun with the updated Exotics, making a group of Thralls into fireworks with Sunshot is probably my favorite thing at the moment.

Again, I just wanted to make sure you were aware that we don't all despise the game, despite what the front page the last few days might make you think.

The empty public spaces are a problem again. Only two or three other players at a time before others get herded into new, empty ones. Please fix this, especially with the introduction of Escalation Protocol shining a spotlight on the lack of other players.

I'm a bit upset about how Nokris and Xol were handled in this expansion giving the player almost no build up or explanation as to who these characters were in terms of the significance to the hive pantheon and the Destiny Universe. More importantly how these characters were relegated as strike bosses. I feel like there was more world building to Malok from the Taken King strike than there was for Nokris an Ascendant Hive God. Xol was ok but the significance of his defeat was overshadowed by 2 other story lines (Zavala and Rasputin). Too many story threads in this short DLC and Bungie's focus was split. The Dark Below and House of Wolves weren't great but they had a main plot thread and cohesion to all the new content including the campaign strikes and raid/POE.

Rasputin's Chamber Puzzle - (Clues)

So, we seem to have a lot of stuff to sort through (finally), and since they seem to be all interconnected it's probably a good idea to put everything together in a single thread.

If you don't know what's going on, there is a symbol found in Rasputin's chamber, that seems to describe a sequence of puzzles/keys to be solved in order leading to a final secret.

First symbol: ghost. This symbol is found in various different places, each time with a number and some part of the ghost/rasputin symbol. Here's an infographic of currently known pieces by https://i.imgur.com/OmIVH0b.jpg u/ChiIIerr. They probably need to be combined somehow to form a specific symbol. The best shot at the moment is from u/DShostabrovich, who combined them in a seven-letter word, using the numbers as guide. Second symbol: rectangle with three bars. This https://i.imgur.com/Cn2TV5K.jpg . In the main guide it's connected to a Braille grid, and a few crates have been found on Mars with Braille letters on them. The letters are OEAARRTFWTH, and the current theory is that they are an anagram of The Art Of War. As showed by u/Rpaulv and u/certainpersonio, this seems to give us the sentence "Destroy all second A and B. Then destroy all third C and R".

Third symbol: diamond. Currently unknown.

Fourth symbol: speaker. Only seen in the terminal near Ana Bray (https://imgur.com/a/jMQCoVj). As suggested by u/HappyHoratio, This is the same server racks where you slot in her diary files, and the tablet shown when reading the audio files has a Morse code sequence with the letters NTEHNMLNEEGIT (most probably an anagram for ENLIGHTENMENT). At the moment we're not sure if there are other diaries with other words.

Fifth symbol: five black/white bars. This https://i.imgur.com/R8UBoKo.png . A great post by u/javano_ says this is a transcription (in Numbered musical notation) of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake No. 01. Not sure what to do with it at the moment.

Current interpretation and status: we seem to have plausible solutions for steps 1, 2, 4, and 5 (Step 3 is totally missing at this point, which is a little weird). These solutions are

Step 1: REVERSE

Step 2: Destroy all second A and B. Then destroy all third C and R

Step 3: ???

Step 4: Profit

Step 4: ENLIGHTENMENT

Step 5: SWANLAKE or some related variation.

Going by what the main symbol looks like, we can expect that we need to apply step 1 and 2 as they are described, and use 3, 4, and 5 as keys for some kind of decryption/decoding.

For convenience's sake, I'm putting here the result of applying step 1 and 2 to what we believe is the main ciphertext. I reversed it and removed every second A and B, and every third C and R.

How to do Escalation Protocol with 4+ friends

Just a reminder of what we used to do for Archon's Forge / Court of Oryx:

  • Tell one friend to stand at the area you guys want to do the event;
  • Everybody else enters the same area as a solo player;
  • If no one lands in the same server, do a fast travel to the same place;
  • Keep doing fast travel to the same place until two players meet;
  • Once it's done, every other player joins those players and start the fun.

Also, always check if you are in the same server of any of your friends doing this, even if it is not the one waiting at the meeting point not doing fast travel. It happens a lot.

With fast travel it is much easir than in D1. Did it last night and had a lot o fun with a "squad of 6"!

We can equip ANY emote from our menu. Can emblems be next?

I'm an emblem whore and I like to be able to change them on the fly without having to go to the tower. It'll save Postmaster space, too.

EDIT: Also, on-character shader limit should be much higher. I won't get into the topic too much since it's been discussed to great lengths already, but I don't think you should have to waste vault space on shaders.

Unless I’m mistaken, Zavala’s intense mistrust of Rasputin in Destiny 2 is in direct contradiction with one of his lines in Destiny 1.

During one of the strikes in Destiny 1 (Fallen S.A.B.E.R., I think?), Zavala says something to the effect of, "If we're ever going to reach a second Golden, it'll be with Rasputin by our side."

Edit: If Zavala's mistrust of Rasputin stems from the events of the SIVA Crisis, I feel like the SIVA Crisis should have been mentioned at least once during Warmind. Or even the fate of the first Iron Lords.

Edit 2: Let's keep the toxicity at a minimum here, Guardians. We're all in this together, and all.

Edit 3: Like the title says, I could totally be mistaken. This was just a thought my girlfriend and I had.

I know it is kind of stupid to say because everyone knows it, but the sound team for Destiny 2 is amazing. Rasputin's voice is exactly what I hoped it would be and I honestly want to hear more from him in the future (not just Ana's translations). Same goes for the Bray ai voiced by that famous british actor (whose name I have been informed is Steven Fry). Keep him around too.

Haven't felt like this since the first two years of Destiny.

  • Patrols, clan rewards, and milestones should NOT have more value than end game content.

  • Vanilla D2 and CoO killed the feel of doing any raid. Warmind brought it back. Thank you Bungie!

[Possible Bug] Certain Rare Mods Won't Convert to Legendary

I was messing around with my loadouts last night. Since I wasn't too worried about light level in CoO I opted to just hoard blue mods to save inventory space. When I went to convert these to legendary last night I noticed the following mods couldn't be converted (all of which I have 3 or more rare copies of)

Helmet - Recovery

Hunter Cloak - Arc Grenade

Arms - Resistance

Warlock Bond

  • Arc Melee
  • Void Grenade

Titan Mark

  • Void Melee
  • Solar Grenade

Can anyone confirm if they are having this issue as well? I never tried to leave/return to the tower to see if that would fix it.

This power level issue with Heroics really shows how we need to go back to basics

By no means should Heroics get you to max light. Let me be VERY clear about that. What should happen is back to the way we used to level. For pve we played heroics to get a light level that had us raid ready and then played the raid to get max. This how it needs to go back to.

Right now heroics are 350. The gear we get from heroics SHOULD get us to 360. You can complete milestones and those should get you to 365. Above that it should be raids. Now that we have escalation protocol that should fall in line with raids. If you can beat escalation protocol you should get max light.

Right now we are all throttled with this grind. We can ONLY level above 345 with milestones and maybe exotics. This such a horrible design. We went from easy WAY too easy grinding to after you do milestones, at least this week, you are stuck. No way to level up anymore.

We went from super casual to pretty grindy. And grindy is good. IF it is well designed. Right now it is not well designed. We should be able to grind to up to a decent level. Not being able to grind to a level that is below heroics and nothing really above that.

EDIT: I did forget nightfalls and previous raids. Nightfalls get you to 365. Raids I personally dont like the idea of having to do content we've already done countless times instead of playing new content to level up.

It costs 8k glimmer and 8 legendary shards. It will always come with 160 speed and instant summon. Make sure to buy it from her after completing the data fragments so that you can use it on your other characters.

RIP for any solo players wishing to play competitive PvP playlist as it's a pub stomping ground for stacked sweat teams right now.

My experience as a solo play in comp is really negative at the moment, I get matched against teams of 4 players from same clan who usually have gone flawless multiple times and I'm matched with guys who have 3000 - 5000 PvP kills and we just get completely smashed.

I would be happy to wait longer to get matched against solo players and there are obviously enough groups to match against groups so why not tweak the mm rules?

Also Bungie when is the MM fix going in as that may help although I doubt it??

I can envisage another trials situation here whereby the pool gets so small because the casuals and solo players stop playing as the MM system is facing them off against stacked teams of 4.

Crimson and Graviton Lance are both much more competitive now (times-to-kill and change explanations inside).

Graviton Lance has had its behavior changes from a standard PR firing configuration where the first two shots do minimal damage and the third does a larger amount, to a 2-round burst where the first shot does 1/5 the damage of the follow up shot. Currently, first round crits do 12, Black Hole crits do 60. First round bodies do 8, Black Hole bodies do 40.

This means that not only is the weapon now capable of killing in 3 bursts (you need to hit all 6 shots, but the Black Holes are the only ones that need to be crits), but it also has gotten what amounts to a RoF buff because there are 2 less frames in each burst. EDIT - This was incorrect, they simply moved the 2 frames from the burst to the delay between bursts, thus it did not get the buff I thought.

  • Graviton Lance now kills in 1.00s optimal, and 1.87s body shots, which is enough to move it into the upper tier of competitive weapons in terms of Optimal, but it still very subpar in terms of Body Shot.

Crimson is also much more competitive now, especially among the Hand Cannons. It got a straight RoF buff, going from a burst delay of 7 frames to one of 6, and also a damage buff, pushing the crit damage up to 24 and the body shot up to 17. Keep in mind the Crimson has a unique burst pattern, with 2 frames between each shot in the burst instead of 1, which explains the lengthier TtK even with a minimal number of bursts required to kill.

  • Times-to-Kill have thus shifted to 1.07s Optimal (7 crit 2 body), 1.50s Body (12 body).
