I have 80 hours on the game and have been playing survivor and killer pretty equally. Myers is my favorite killer both in-game and thematically, I've always tried to play him but always got completely stomped.

Today, I got my very first victory as Myers (3K, 1 Ragequit), and it feels SO INCREDIBLY GOOD!!!!!!!

There is no point to this post, I just don't have very many friends to display my excitement to and wanted to share it here!!

Since the PTB launches tomorrow and we'll be able to try out all the new stuff, including the new killer and survivor, how likely is it that they drop a spotlight trailer today or tomorrow? I mean, if basically anyone is able to find out what's the deal with the new killer and survivor, it wouldn't make much sense to wait with the trailer just a few days before release, would it?

New Killer—The Mother
Our mothers are someone we love. Someone we trust to protect us. For the children of Maria Cazadorez, their reality was something much worse. While she may have been a single mother of twin boys, Maria's beauty was second to none in her village. This beauty would catch the attention of a nobleman, who whispered to her sweet lies of devotion. Unlike the nobleman, Maria's devotion was far more real, to a fanatical degree. Without question, she would do whatever the man asked of her, even things she would normally be repulsed with.
This all came to a head one day, when the man said that he would have to leave her, for a man of his caliber to marry a woman with someone else's children would be a mark of shame for him and his family. Wishing to stay by his side, Maria took her infant children to the riverbed and tossed them into the rapids. She thought her future was secure now, that she would have that nobleman for herself. But as she walked back to the village, she saw that man with another woman, charming her just as he had charmed Maria. It was then that she learned she had been nothing more than some tool to use. This revelation was too much for her, and drove Maria to throw herself into the river, allowing the water that took her children to take her as well.
Ages have passed since that day, to the point that even the name of Maria's village has been forgotten. But while her home is lost to time, some say that her soul still wanders the earth. That she fruitlessly searches for her dead children, dragging those she mistakens for them to a watery grave...
Weapon: Swamped Talons—The fingers of Maria have grown long and sharp, the better to catch her children.
Base Speed: 110%
Power: Mother's Embrace—The waters that took The Mother's life have now been forced to serve her in death. The Mother can place 5 Water Traps. When a Survivor runs through a trap, they are slowed to their walking speed for 3 seconds.

Perks—
Drowned Wail
You have learned to silence those you intend to sacrifice, if only for a moment. After hooking a survivor, their aura is hidden for 10/15/20 seconds.

Servant's Call
The winged agents of the Entity betray those hiding nearby. When a survivor has been in your terror radius for 50/40/30 seconds, crows will begin to circle their heads. The crows will remain until the affected survivor leaves your terror radius. Can only affect one survivor at a time.

Banshee's Cry
The agony of your victims is felt by their friends When hooking a survivor, all other survivor actions are slowed by 3/6/9%. This penalty stacks, and remains permanently active after a survivor is sacrificed.

New Survivor—Lucia Jimenez
Always a troublemaker, Lucia enjoys nothing more than wandering the streets of her city late at night. She has heard the warnings from her mother about the "weeping woman" but has always attributed them to superstition. Lucia has never believed in anything she could not confirm with her own eyes, making her an outcast in her faithful family. But fiction always has some basis in fact, something she learned one night while in her wanderings. The air had grown cold and damp as a fog rolled in, making her push towards home. But as she moved through the dark alleyways, she soon came face to face with the woman of legend. She could not see the woman's face, but a primal fear deep within her told Lucia to run. To not let this woman catch her.
As she ran through the dark streets with that sickening wail behind her, the cobblestone streets slowly turned to dirt. And when the fog thinned, Lucia found herself near a campfire, surrounded by several strangers. Her wanderings have cost Lucia but she determined to survive whatever challenges she may face, in the hopes of one day seeing the dawn rise on her town once more.

Perks—
Thrill of the Chase
You push yourself to make as much distance between you and the monsters. After dropping a pallet in a chase, sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for 3/4/5 seconds. Causes Exhaustion for 30/40/50 seconds.

Ear to the Ground
You've learned the tell tale signs of someone approaching. When entering the killer's Terror Radius, see their aura for 2/3/4 seconds. This perk has a 60/90/90 second cooldown.

Cry for Help
You know when to not turn down a helping hand. While injured or dying, the aura of all survivors in a 15/20/30 meter radius are revealed to you, and all altruistic actions towards you are 40/50/60% faster.

New Realm—The Drowned City
The remains of an old city have been found underwater, and with it a new plane of torture for the Entity to use. Water seems to flow from above, the light of day taunting those in the cavernous streets below. The centerpiece is a run-down house, believed to be the home of a nobleman who once drove a woman to murder-suicide...

Recently I let my girlfriend play this game and as I expected she was not amazing, considering she doesn't play games that much. However despite an awkward hatchet throw, a jump-scare Myers and a face camping trapper, she's persevered and is steadily getting better.

It caught my attention when she hid behind a thin tree from a huntress, she held her breath, stayed calm, and waited, then took a chance to save her teammate and got out. Now granted she did not win that match, but seeing her get better and start making calls I wouldn't normally try, filled me with a sense of pride as I taught her.

Now she's gotten back all the pips she lost in the beginning and steadily getting as good as me.

Which brings me to my question: Have you guys and gals felt pride in your friends or family in this game? Did you ever bring someone in to the fog and see them flourish, knowing that you set them on this path?

TLDNR: Girlfriend got good, I felt proud, has anyone ever made you feel proud in this game?

I usually play on Xbox and have jumped in on the back end of the free weekend on PC as I'm hoping to buy the game once I've upgraded a couple of things. How the fuck do you look behind you as survivor? Whenever I move my mouse, the direction I'm running in changes. I'm playing some killer until I figure it out because I'm stupid.

On Thursday a friend of mine told me that a game called "Dead by Daylight" was going to have a free weekend to play the game and he wanted my roommate and me to try it out. I downloaded it and played a few games of him killing us and showing us how the game worked for about an hour or so. I may have sucked at it, but it was a great time. I decided to play killer on my own and see what it was like on the other side. Without asking anyone what to play I look through the killers and see an ability that allowed me to blink. "This killer has to be awesome" I think to myself.

I load up a lobby and start playing. Spawn in as nurse and wander around some generators. I find a person and start chasing them. I follow them around for a bit not getting any closer. "In fact I think I might be slower" I think to myself. I see that I can use the right mouse button to blink, so I do. I blink and it was the most useless thing ever. I blinked in place. Not only did I go nowhere but I also get slowed and have to look down with darkened vision to lose sight of who I was chasing. "Fucking shitty nurse. No wait it's probably me" I thought to myself. I try again. While not chasing anyone I try blinking around seeing that I have to hold the button to go further. After that I did it. I hooked a person. It was a great feeling. I'm strolling away from the hooked survivor just beaming. That stopped about ten seconds later when they got unhooked, but I had gotten a hook. About 5 min later the gates are open and everyone escaped.

My first game wasn't pretty to say the least, so I did a second with nurse again. I actually got a kill in that game, so I decide to keep the ball rolling. Unfortunately some D/C in the beginning of my 3rd game, but that's alright because I killed everyone else. Feeling great I keep going. 4th game as killer I killed all four survivors. I was so ecstatic. I made it to rank 19, and I go again. If this game was a fight then it looked like that scene in the movie "Goon" where the main guy is defending his goal with his face. I got annihilated I was stomped so hard. Even though I got pretty fucked at the end of the game I talked to them and they even gave me a tip about playing nurse.

I keep playing (because why not I have nothing else to do) with the tip in mind. As I play I come to a moment where someone is running away and I start my blink. All the sudden they turn around. You might think that I blinked ahead, but I didn't because I had that tip that the nice survivor gave me. I looked down to go nowhere and slugged that guy in the face. Felt pretty good. I got my ass beat again which showed me I got a lot to learn, and learn I did.

A few games later a tip popped up before game. This tip completely expanded how I could play the nurse because I had no idea that I could blink through walls. That info was ground breaking. I can blink past pallets, blink inside rooms, and in general blink across the map. That info gave me so much power in how to play the game that I got to rank 19 and stay there.

I asked a friend if I could hunt him in a game so he could see how far I came. I didn't tell him who I played I just asked him to guess. He told me that he thought I was playing the hillbilly because "there's no way you play the nurse". Turns out there is a way and I had found it. I love this game even when I started going against flashlight factions, pallet people, DS dummies, and sabotage squads (I still hate them of course). I bought the game and will still keep playing. Thanks free weekend for letting me enjoy this game.

Can The Entity pull survivors and killers from any dimension?

Probably a dumb question haha, but out of curiosity...

Does the hatch always spawn at the bottom of the level? I've never seen the hatch spawn at the top floor. I guess it wouldn't make sense if hatch was at the top floor because than it would put you to the bottom floor.
