Firaxis: Update the Civilopedia Posted: 10 May 2018 11:38 AM PDT Civ VI has a TON of elements. I only know them all because I've closely followed the game from the start. Even then, I often check the Civilopedia for details. And the details are often wrong. For example, in today's patch, Berserkers still have their old stats listed there. There's no excuse for the in-game guide to be inaccurate. It should be the ultimate authority on how the game works. [link] [comments]
How to conquer your "friend's" cities and have them thank you for it Posted: 10 May 2018 03:42 AM PDT https://i.redd.it/e0vvns4j90x01.png So, long story short I was trying to undermine and destroy my ally Wilhelmina, without using any direct force. I was swarming her cities with spies when I discovered something. By putting two spies in a city, I could force it to revolt even if it was loyal. One spy is there to wait and neutralize a governor. The other just foments unrest over and over again. With a higher level spy it takes four turns to take a chunk out of their loyalty, so if it takes them more than four turns to return to full loyalty you can force them to rebel eventually. But, of course, they were a loyal city and spies can't force a free city to join you, so it was just going to flip back to Wilhelmina in a few turns anyway. Except that I had a small army standing nearby, and I was able to rush in, siege, and annex the city before it flipped back to her. No warmonger penalty for taking a free city, and the AI didn't even send me an angry message about it. I think I can do this to several more of their cities and take a substantial piece of their civ out, without even breaking my alliance. Maybe it's a known thing, but it seemed cool. King too easy, emperor too hard Posted: 10 May 2018 04:11 PM PDT While playing on King I always end up winning. But whenever I play on emperor I am so far behind the AI by the industrial era. Any tips to beat emperor? [link] [comments]

[Discussion] Deity victory for Civ V (5) Vanilla Posted: 10 May 2018 04:06 PM PDT Be Augustus Caesar/Rome, set it on Duel sized map against Gandhi/India, world type Archipelago, no city-states, disable Domination and Diplomatic Victory, no barbarians, no ancient ruins. Reset until you get a good start for a coastal city. Get Great Library, focus on keeping science, production, and gold high. Push for key wonders early, including Ironworks, Notre Dame, and Great Library. Establish a second city early, make sure to focus around culture once you're established, beeline for Sistine Chapel and the Hermitage / Radio towers, then snag Cristo Rendor. Pump culture, making new cities once you have a comfortable level in your first ones. Nab up the whole Piety tree early. If all goes well you should start Utopia project just as he's finishing the Manhattan Project, so long as you avoid provoking him you should sweep it and win before he nukes you. Not sure if this works every time, but it worked for me! [link] [comments]

Is Civ VI worth buying now (with R&F)? Posted: 10 May 2018 07:00 PM PDT Hey all, Longtime CiV player here. Didn't shell out for Beyond Earth when it came out and didn't get Civ 6 either, but was recently thinking I might as well try it out. Main concern is that I won't enjoy it. Steam reviews don't look to hot, so I have a few direct questions: Is the AI actually worse than in Civ V? Is the game 'broken'? Is the game boring? How enjoyable is it for you compared to Civ 5? If I do get it and I normally play 5 at immortal/diety, what difficulty should I play my first game at? Well that's about it. I'd be keen on hearing any elaboration on those points! Thanks all [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 May 2018 02:10 PM PDT In my past few games in civ V i will have something like 17 production and 6 citizen but the city will stagnate The math looks something like this 17-12= 5 base// 0 total food Is there anyway to fix this should i reinstall? [link] [comments] |
