Which games absolutely nailed the first couple of hours? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 11:43 PM PDT What game, above all others, drew you in so completely during its first steps that even getting near it for the first time was a slippery slope to entire days lost? Maybe it wasn't even a triple-A title, or maybe it was. But it was something about the mechanics, graphics, story, or systems that took it from a merely great game to a legendary siren song of an experience. [link] [comments] |

What games got the endgame wrong? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 10:55 AM PDT Obviously a twist on another thread here, but I thought it would be an interesting question. Most games I've played have left me with satisfying feelings, but there's no doubt there are some out there that are great up until the endings. Two of my favorite games ever, Portal 2 and Red Dead Redemption, both had endings that upset me, but I wouldn't say they were messed up or bad endings, just not the way I would have chosen to end the games even though their real endings were still satisfying. Which ending do you think was messed up the most? [link] [comments] |
