| [Discussion] I walked across Tamriel to see how long it would take. Posted: 12 Apr 2018 05:44 PM PDT So I don't know exactly why I wanted to do it, I thought it would be interesting to know how big the map was in terms of walking across it. The rules I had was not using sprint and I avoided straying too far away from paths so I encountered less mobs. Here are all the paths I used: https://imgur.com/gallery/uIuF6 I didn't include loading times and a bit of Cyrodiil was estimated because the beginning and end bits were blocked off for me. I also wasn't 100% sure where the north morrowind gate lined up with so i just decided to walked half way through the rift and then i just stopped the timer there and continued at the northern morrowind gate when i got there. Other than that the rest was pretty accurate. The total time added up to around 1 hour 13 minutes and 55 seconds of walking from the dock in East Deshaan to the dock in West Glenumbra. | Posted: 12 Apr 2018 05:50 AM PDT When I didn't have ESO+ I could queue for random dungeons without worrying about getting one that most pugs fail at or leave instantly making me wait 15 more minutes to queue and I could quest through entire zones without having a ton of "go take the boat/caravan to X" markers on my maps. If I could just turn the DLCs off until I was ready that would be great. Or at the very least let me "ban" 2-3 dungeons from my queue so I can still do random dungeons with a select few removed from the list. Not a huge deal, just would be nice. | To you ‘End Game’ players out there. Posted: 12 Apr 2018 06:05 AM PDT A bit of background. I get it. I was there. I raided for scores and what not on Xbox, then took a break realized all my contacts weren't playing anymore. When I tried to raid with some more teams it didn't work out. Hm all the craglorns, vmol and stopped at vhof when guild politics got in the way. This kinda stumped me for a hot minute, couldn't figure out why people would stop playing with each other over that and took a break from the game. I came back with the dragon bones dlc got in with some REALLY decent guilds but time difference stopped us raiding together. My gripe is, these guys (end game players) won't join a group or a guild unless you've git a ripper team who has completed this content before. I'm a part of a guild leader council for a VERY social guild half of which take what they learn in game from a few select people in the guild who have played this game for a long time and have completed the content they want too. Last week, I hit them up. Asking 'who would be keen to give a vet trial a go?' The majority refused because of the precedent set forth by these particular guild setting standards. Now, I get it. There are certain thresholds in terms of dps, healing sets, tank abilities etc that play apart. But give these guys a chance. I decided to help the dps (with the help of others) on rotations, gear, cp etc and took them through there first trial. It was veteran AA. Not a particularly hard one. But! I shit you not, I had one of the easiest clears of the storm atro and Valerial I've ever had with a group of at least 6 that haven't done it before. These guys are over the moon at their new title and complete. And the whole thing only took 1:30min. Longer then I would've liked personally, but hey what would I have been doing any way? Tl;dr; give some inexperienced players a chance. They are hungry for it. They will take the time to learn there shit in advance. Let's cut the toxic shit from end game on Xbox na anyway. Next week is vAS. Wish our team of inexperienced players with the guidance of three or four well versed players luck. Because we will sit there and get these guys there complete. | Posted: 12 Apr 2018 12:31 PM PDT So we just completed city of ash 2. And i had no idea it was a vet dungeon. In fact to be honest i didnt really know what i was doing either. I was the tank of the group so i did "tank stuff" like running around collecting massive groups using that snb taunt in order to stop my healer from getting destroyed. It worked surprisingly well. We finished the vet dungeon and i said "that was my first thingy!" Because i had just learned that that was a vet dungeon. I was called a great tank. I had no idea that i had it in me to finish a "vet dungeon" [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| Posted: 12 Apr 2018 12:29 PM PDT How cool would it be to have a companion app? I'm thinking of some features that would be pretty helpful and cut down on menial task time or just be cool to have:
Anyone else think this would be cool to see? Not that it would ever happen, but one can dream. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| Are things like ESO Plus “required” to have a good playing experience? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 09:48 PM PDT Brand new player, I'm having fun so far, but my friend said that there's some crafting bag that requires a monthly fee and that it's "pretty much required to play the game." He also talked about ESO Plus and how it gives way too many advantages to not be subscribed to. Is this true? Or can I play viably without any subscriptions? [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| [Discussion] Small quality of life changes. What would you fix? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 01:17 PM PDT My biggest gripe: Why do we have to back out of a conversation with a banker to change from guild store, guild bank, personal bank etc. It's a tiny request, but if you're like me and have been playing since beta and use your bank 100 times a day, it gets repetitive :) What teeny little things would you fix to make life a little easier in the game? | ZOS better deliver a good theme song for Summerset. Posted: 12 Apr 2018 07:11 AM PDT As an EU player I enjoyed listening to the morrowind soundtrack while waiting for server maintenance. It would be a shame If It got replaced by something underwhelming. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| The event has been extended, there is no better time to start your own guild. Posted: 12 Apr 2018 06:56 AM PDT You should start a guild and invite new low level players. One of two things will happen. 1) Your guild flourishes and you make a lot of friends, fun is had. 2) Your guild goes belly up and everyone else stops playing, you now have your own guild bank to yourself. This has been my PSA. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| Posted: 12 Apr 2018 07:41 PM PDT I've just hit cp160 for the first time with my StamDK, and my build is still very much a mess in terms of my gear etc. I'm waiting to get my crafting skills caught up so I can craft sets, which won't take too long so I'm not worried about it. However, I've noticed my survivability is complete shit. Trying to finish off the main quests since I was largely ignoring them, I must have died well over 10 times throughout the last few missions. I have vigor unlocked and on my bar, but even that doesn't stop me dying easily in certain situations. What's confusing me even more is that the build I'm trying to follow on Alcast doesn't even say to use vigor at all, so I'm generally just confused on how to stop dying on my character. Any help would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments] | ||||||||||

| Do builds ever become outdated? Posted: 13 Apr 2018 12:40 AM PDT There are so many different build videos on YouTube for stamina nightblade. So my question is, are builds still viable after a year or so? I know the viper set was pretty good at one point, but I don't see any videos from this year that use it. I'm just looking for a good build to get into pvp with. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| {SUGGESTION} Housing - Custom Weather Posted: 12 Apr 2018 06:48 AM PDT When you are chilling at your waterfall in your courtyard, wouldn't it be nice if you had access to some climate settings? I know I'd like that. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||

| Posted: 12 Apr 2018 07:26 PM PDT Grouping is a nightmare. Lag is from 3-5 seconds every fight! I main a healer, though even as dps, I feel like I'm failing my team (pugN). Don't want to play vet anymore. Same with norms. Although last time this issue arose vet was semi smooth. Lookin at you COH. I do want to start trials again, but the lag has been holding me back for over a year. It wasn't this bad recently. I thought it was improving? Tried tera and it's not what I'm looking for. Eso or bust! I have the "best" available Internet, regular xbox.3 Years in and not stoked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you wonderful community, you. [link] [comments] |
