Travelling back in time to 2.0.6

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 11:45 AM PDT

I recently purchased Ultimate Evil on 360 during the Spring Sale. Kind of wanted to see M6 in action again.

I was sort of blown away at how many little things have changed over the past 5 years. Some differences in this version of the game:

  • No Salvage All button.
  • A lot harder to level up Blacksmith, less weapons. More of an inconvenience for leveling purposes.
  • No Greater Rifts.
  • Rift Keys required to open Rifts.
  • Rifts are so barren. Not sure if it's just because it's a console version, but I got through whole Rift levels only encountering 2-3 small mobs.
  • Kadala items costs are divided by 5 (i.e. Quivers cost 5 instead of 25), but only have 1% chance to be legendary.
  • No cheat death skills (on DH anyway. Awareness increases your Armor by 30% of your Dex).
  • No Cube.
  • Several different crafting mats. Seemingly for a set for Pre-60 items and Post-60 items.
  • Requires Death Breaths to re-roll Yellow items.
  • So many plain Legendaries with no prefixes. Kind of crazy when you think how many items they did update.
  • Health potions are finite.
  • No legendary gems.
  • No Ancient weapons.
  • Lower Legendary drop rate. This was before the 100% drop increase from that anniversary event.

All in all, it feels pretty different. A lot slower, but not really in a good way. So many good changes have happened that I seemingly took for granted. As much as I want to see the original M6, I really don't know if it's worth it. If Greater Rifts existed, I could have fun doing those, but doing empty T6 Rifts doesn't seem that appealing.

Are there any Discord bots the community would like to see?

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 06:23 AM PDT

I am a software developer and want to improve my Python skills doing something that has tangible results. I am looking towards the communities for the various games that I play to see if there are any Discord bots that they would find useful.

I have various bots I have built on my server so I have the framework down, but don't always have the greatest ideas.

I can't make any promises, but I would certainly love to contribute to the communities of the games I love.

Question about manald heal in Tal Rasha meteor build

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 06:11 AM PDT

I'm running Tal Rasha meteor build pretty successfully on HC, but I've replaced the audacity passive with paralysis and unity with a really nice manald heal. I have enough RCR to channel arcane torrent indefinitely without dropping the aquila cuirass buff, but with all the death raining down I can't tell if manald is proccing reliably. Is it worth it to keep the set up?

Could Diablo run at 60fps on the Switch?

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 08:29 PM PDT

Now with possibility of Diablo 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch, could it run it at 60 fps? The Switch specs are between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. This should be enough?

Solo Self-Found P1k

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 04:18 AM PDT

Hey,

a short update about efficient solo xp farming (this includes solo rifts, bounties, grifts) and reaching an upper half leaderboard ranking with an average skill level and more importantly without the need of intense pushing and fishing:

The grift clear was done with the very first key.
I played a bit too much over the weekend and already cleared higher. The potential of my current gear should be GR109+ when fishing for really good grifts.

End of season goal is ~GR110 without too much fishing, while averaging ~1 hour per day playtime full SSF.

Looking for an active NA clan

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 11:24 AM PDT

My current clan only has 1-2 people on at most times. I'm not looking for anything super hardcore, I'm only ~900 para and generally play a few hundred hours every season (off-meta as well). I'd really like something with an active discord and people to at least chat with in game. If you know of any good ones or would like to invite me, shoot me a pm or add me on bnet Asmodean#11256

Mods feel free to delete this post if it doesn't follow guidelines, I did check around and didn't find any threads specifically for finding clans and saw no rules stating I could not.

What is your preferred method for leveling new characters?

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 08:36 AM PDT

I was just curious how everyone else levels their new characters. I tend to do bounty quests to get an early start on mats and recipes, but rarely see any other players doing the same.

How do you level new characters?

Anyone aware of an up-to-date mob progression DB?

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 05:55 AM PDT

I found this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/3imz6b/complete_list_of_monster_progression_in_greater/ but it hasn't been updated in a few years. Anyone have something a little more current? Thanks!

Brief guide on how to push solo GRs

Posted: 03 Apr 2018 06:33 AM PDT

Step one: Get a ton of keys

Step two: Open your highest GR

Step three: If it is a crap map (97% chance it will be) remake game

Step four: If it is one of the few decent maps, check the mob type

Step five: If it has decent mobs and is one of the few good maps, attempt the rift and hope you get pylons

Repeat
