| Posted: 07 Apr 2018 08:04 AM PDT Also, if you ever go back and give us a voice in story missions, let us choose its sound. I'd be fine if it was 3 different voices for each gender - oh, and Exo need a robotic filter, like Cayde or Banshee or any Exo we meet. We don't even have to have many voicelines, just when someone asks us a question Ghost shouldn't be answering. Anyhow, back to the main point - this should not be too difficult. Give us a quest to find a Guardian Barber somewhere in the wild and bring him back to the tower - using SPACE MAGIC to let us grow beards incredibly fast or something. Yes, beards. Give us beards. BUT do not let us change race. I've seen some people do that and honestly I think that would make no sense and break immersion in a way solely by its option existing. | Bungie: With DLC2, I'm hoping to see the return of Defend the Warmind public event! Posted: 07 Apr 2018 09:53 AM PDT I actually really liked the defend the Warsat event. I can't wait to see that return. Crossing my fingers for some new public events when the next DLC launches. EDIT: Warsat....not Warmind. | Change Destiny 2 Guided Games to a real Matchmaking Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:59 AM PDT Hello Bungie. I remember having to use LFG online to get a team for NF on D1. When Guided Games was announced, I thought it would be a fantastic feature. In a way it still is. But at the same time its a huge problem. With the player base moving onto other games and whatnot, Guided Games are useless. Its pretty much impossible to seek a NF game due to my clanmates or friends abandoning this game in droves a while back. I gave up on this game because i cannot play NF at all. I dont use LFG due to the effort it takes to get a game going. Your best move is to just scrap Guided Games totally. And introduce a optional true Matchmaking to both NF and Raids. Its the best move to bring at least some players back and it will make it easier for some fans to actually engage in the endgame contents. Thanks. | [Spoiler] Rare Gameplay Footage of this Week's Nightfall-Exclusive Loot Posted: 06 Apr 2018 10:05 PM PDT After a gajillion attempts, I finally got the Nightfall-exclusive loot for The Inverted Spire strike. Since this is a rare drop, I decided to share some gameplay footage of this exciting gear with the community. Don't watch it if you want to experience the gameplay yourself. /s Edit: adding "/s", because some people need the indicator to realize the post is sarcastic. | I really hope the summit is seen with a critical eye and not another 'content creator astroturf' Posted: 07 Apr 2018 01:36 AM PDT Its no secret content creators rely on the games they cover to draw in ad revenue. So many see things like these as an issue where they have to toe the company line or be left out in future and lose potential exclusives for clicks. Something similar happened a year or two ago where Halo was in a horrible state, 343 took in some youtubers and streamers who went in going 'we are going to ask the hard questsions' and just came out gushing about how 'they gave us a tour around the halo museum!' and had no information because the moment they got face to face with developers they either couldn't bring themselves to do it, feared being left out later if they did or got 'starstruck' so to speak and just went full brand loyalty. People want Destiny to improve again. Thats the default right? but i really worry this is going to be another repeat of that where content creators go in, gushing fanboys come out. Weeks pass and DLC2 is just CoO all over again with nothing learned. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| DLC 2 Needs to Cover Darker Themes Posted: 07 Apr 2018 12:30 PM PDT After replaying Destiny 1 and 2 in order to understand why I didn't like D2's story very much, I discovered the reason right after the first mission: What should have been an Empire Strikes Back style story for D2 was scrapped/abandoned for a wacky, whimsical, T-friendly, Noob-friendly plot with cringy jokes and nerdy humor. The stakes are taken away within an hour of starting the game, and what follows is a Ratchet and Clank (2016) style romp as you "get the gang back together". All of the hard hitting moments that would provide serious, much-needed character development to our Vanguard buddies is scrapped and replaced with nothing of substance. Ikora is easily the worst offender of this. All of her questions she asks herself at the beginning go unanswered, and I would wager this was because they were afraid of making her journey too dark or emotional. There's one death in the campaign. (Spoilers, I guess, for the -2 people who haven't finished the campaign yet.) The Speaker dies, or does he? It's oddly edited and shot, almost as if they didn't want to show the Speaker dying to violently, Yes, the game is rated T for Teen, but that doesn't mean the Speaker's death, which is incredibly important, should have been glossed over the way that it was. I honestly can't remember a moment post-opening level that made me fear for a character's life outside of this one, horribly covered moment Then there's the other two Vanguards... As funny as Cayde can be, he isn't the same as before. The characters act really, REALLY stupid almost on purpose. Remember the Exodus Crash strike? Y'know, arguably the most tedious one in the game? You know Zavala's joke at the end? "Team Piccolo and Operation Oboe"? Is this funny? Well, kind, but it doesn't fit Zavala's character nor does it seem appropriate. It doesn't seem right. The writers are forgoing character development for cheap jokes that get maybe one chuckle at the most. Then we have Curse of Osiris. OH BOY. Once again, the stakes aren't there. Sure, we are told the world will end, and we get a small glimpse of it, but it doesn't mean anything, does it? What could have been a DLC about convincing Osiris to come back to the Tower and become the new speaker is replaced by "Hey, Osiris is in trouble or something, mind helping him out?" By the end of the DLC, nothing has changed about the state of the world, and Ikora seems marginally happier... maybe? With D2's approach to story telling, stories like Dredgen Yor wouldn't fit, because the game deliberately skirts around the darker edges of the lore. If DLC 2 follows this same approach, and Rasputin becomes a wise-cracking, sarcastic robot, the writers of the game need to be reassessed by Bungie, because they have a fundamental misunderstanding of the lore. | [Spoiler] Possible DLC2 Concept Art Posted: 07 Apr 2018 09:54 AM PDT Just to get a bit of hype trickling over, I came across this piece of D2 concept art. Looks like it could potentially be for the new DLC. It might be the entrance to a subterranean base or possibly something else, but whatever it is it does at least look really cool. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6ybGr Marked it as a spoiler just in case people wanted to experience it for the first time in game. | Can we get Combustion back on the Gunslinger subclass tree? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 02:13 AM PDT Just like the title asks. I feel like Combustion has essentially been removed from the game since Celestial Nighthawk is mostly used for burst damage against bosses over add clearing. I also feel like it would make the top branch a more fun add clearing alternative to the bottom branch. Something like, enemies explode when they die and multi kills (with combustion) generate extra orbs, or something else, such as: enemies killed by Combustion also explode (I'm pretty sure the second one was a part of Combustion in D1, but I can't remember). | Bungie: if you don't bring back radar, then remake Nighstalker Posted: 07 Apr 2018 12:16 PM PDT Bungie basically took away the primary incentive that drove players to play Nighstalker in D1: Shadestep. They proceeded to rework the subclass completely with the radar in mind.
No Nighstalker asked for their class, the primary reason and incentive for which they played it, to be reworked (meanwhile making their super largely worse than it was before XD; that is, no on-hit-kill). We took it in stride and played the class the way you apparently wanted us to. Then you took away the one thing that you oriented the entire class around, so now we're just confused what you want from us. Did you not want us to play competitive, especially with ranked play around the corner? Removing the radar was a good way to potentially ostracize a lot of people from entire playlists and the ranked system they wanted when the best way to get people to spread out has been the thing we've been asking for for 7 (longer if you include beta): lower the TTK on all weapons (not just exotics). | If the Writing is like DLC 1, does Rasputin become Sassputin? Posted: 06 Apr 2018 02:50 PM PDT
| Posted: 07 Apr 2018 12:12 PM PDT Okay sure, weapon slot changes need to happen. Random rolls need to come back. TTK should be faster. I agree with all this but none of this addresses the real problem that Destiny 2 has had since the very beginning: The core grinding loop is unexciting, unrewarding, and fundamentally broken. Ahead of the community summit that's about to happen, I wanted to reiterate this point because I'm not seeing Bungie say anything about this beyond, "We want to make Destiny a hobby again." I get that all these other things need to be addressed, but until the incentivization problem is fixed, the player base will continue to dwindle. I want to raid and play Trials every week, and I want my friends to want to raid and play Trials every week. That was my Destiny experience in D1. I still play every week, but most of my friends are long gone with no sign of returning. Here's are some fundamental areas where I think Destiny 2 desperately needs attention. We're chasing a carrot on a stick. Quit handing out free carrots. Or, Max Power Level should only be achievable through the hardest endgame content. In the Taken King era (which is when I started), getting to level 320 was incredibly hard and only achievable via the hard mode raid, Trials, and Iron Banner. It was very hard and often very frustrating. When I got there, though, it was a moment of pure joy. (The flaw was that getting to max level kind of didn't matter very much. This is where D2 can improve on D1.) Look, I'm all for accessibility and rewarding people for their time, but Destiny 2 takes that way too far. Most of my clan members haven't played the raids or Trials, and none of them feel compelled to because they can achieve max level without doing those things. I think the Milestone system needs to be limited. You shouldn't be able to hit max power level by grinding public events, even if it takes a little longer. It's not because I'm a snob, it's because it completely trivializes the hardest and best experiences in the game, and gives players no incentive to bother with them. My thought is that this also ties into why DLCs feel so unexciting in D2. When Curse of Osiris dropped, I played through the story, got to max level doing that, did a couple weeks of Milestones... and that's it. I'm max level. The carrot we're chasing needs to be the tastiest and crunchiest carrot in the world. Or, being max power needs to matter. Max power needs to make a difference. It needs to be a goal worth achieving. In D1, getting to max level was rewarding but only because it was so difficult. It didn't actually make a big difference in gameplay. I think we can do better than that. Here's how I'd love to see things play out:
I get that Bungie wanted to foster a sense of community with the clan system they implemented. It's a great goal but in practice it just means my clan members - many of whom I don't even really know and don't play with - get free loot from my raid and Trials runs without the benefit of gaming together. If we got rid of that, and I got to help my clan members through these endgame activities, I'd feel so much more connected to them. We'd be going on adventures together and fostering friendships and bonds through shared experiences. We'd actually be gaming together. Isn't that the point? Okay, now let's add a second carrot on that stick and make it just as tasty and fresh. Or, endgame loot should be objectively better than all other loot. Power Level is only one incentive to play endgame stuff. The other incentive that used to motivate players was the loot (King's Fall loot excepted, mostly). You wanted a Fatebringer. You wanted a Doctrine of Passing. Endgame loot should not only have the best stats, they should have the most perks (and the best combination of perks). Right now, endgame loot is not much better - if at all - than any other generic loot in the game. Raids are hard and time-consuming. Trials is hard and time-consuming. People are only going to do those things if there's a real incentive to. Leveling up is one incentive. Loot is another. The two together create a very powerful incentive for people to play. Again, the clan engram system and milestone system breaks all this. You don't need to play the raid for the loot - you get that for free. You don't need to play the raid for leveling up - you can achieve that doing the easiest stuff in the game. Exotics should be very rare and very powerful. This is tied to the previous point. My opinion is exotics should only drop from endgame activities, or if not that their drop rates should be severely reduced. The other thing is, don't be afraid to make them powerful. (I know they're working on this now.) Why are we even limited to one exotic weapon or armor piece at a time if they're not better than legendaries? If I ran all exotic weapons, I could still be beat by someone running all blues. When I see an exotic drop, I want to be fucking thrilled, not only because they're rare but because it's going to make me much more powerful. How many of you have a Gjallarhorn story? Exactly. It's a real story. It's a real moment of excitement and joy. There's none of that D2. Everything is simultaneously too easy to get and not worth getting. If the D1 weapon system, random rolls, more lore, better storylines, and faster TTK came back today, would you really come back? And if you did would you really stay for long? I'd argue that many of you wouldn't, and I think it's because the core grinding loop we got so used to in D1 has been trivialized and undermined completely. The only reason we're so vocal about them is because they're relatively small things that seem fixable, whereas the deeper problem remains a huge problem and hugely difficult to fix. For all D1's faults, it got incentivization mostly right. In D2, it's fundamentally broken. This is the disease, folks. We can ask Bungie to treat the sore throat all we want, but that doesn't mean the game's cured. [link] [comments]
| Posted: 06 Apr 2018 07:15 PM PDT Bungle keeps saying the time to kill will be lowered from the exotic patch, but I don't want to be forced into using a primary/secondary exotic to get kills in the crucible. What if I want to get kills with Last Hope or some other legendary gun? [link] [comments] | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Where we talk about Defender Titan bubbles. Posted: 07 Apr 2018 02:39 AM PDT Bungie, what is up with the Defender Titan bubble? The HP on that thing needs a buff: two Daybreak blasts break it. A Warlock can throw, what, SIX? Wasn't it supposed to be balanced against 3 GG shots? There's also this issue where the melee registration blows and the shield is the slowest moving thing on God's green Earth. Suggestion: Make the shield velocity 50% faster so we can actually hit people with the new Go Fast mobility. Double the WoD HP to make it a surviving super. Remember in D1 where we could dance while people shot us using our IMMOBILE, DEFENSE super? I don't anymore. I've been too traumatized. Also, are super melees balanced? Is the Defender shield bash in super less powerful than the new Arcstrider melees? I perpetually lose 1v1 engagements to Arcstriders. | I trust Bungie to improve the way we play but I have little faith in the narrative direction. Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:21 AM PDT Bungie made Age of triumph in Destiny 1 and a fun game a lot of us enjoyed for different reasons so I trust Bungie to recreate that magic formula. As for the narrative direction the new lead writers are taking this game, i am genuinely worried. I hope we get lore that we can invest in like the Grimoire of the original game and not this cringeworthy "Rawr, I'm a scary monster" stuff. | Community Summit - Assistance to Attendees Posted: 06 Apr 2018 01:35 PM PDT All, First I'd like to introduce myself as I have not posted to Reddit before; however, I felt compelled to compile the below based on the recent news of the Community Summit that will be conducted at the Bungie Studios on April 19th and 20th. My handle is Raider_XOF and I'm an active duty United States Marine of 18 years. I recently returned from Iraq completing my 9th combat tour in service to my country. I have been a consistent Destiny player since inception and have largely enjoyed my experience. Though I resist the moniker I am likely best identified as a raid sherpa who enjoys assisting Guardians complete difficult PvE challenges. Toward the end of the original game's lifespan, the Age of Triumph era, I pushed through countless raids with the goal of assisting Guardians acquire the items they desired from Vault of Glass, Crota's End, King's Fall and Wrath of the Machine. I retain a stacked team of like-minded professionals who capitalized on our knowledge of the raid mechanics and completed approximately 600 raids over the final months of Destiny. Weeks were spent during that time period providing hundreds of Guardians raid completions. Some of you may identify me as a raid leader at that time for prominent Youtuber Mesa Sean as he regularly joined me on these weekly endeavors. I provide the above, to include my true employment, to assist the reader in understanding that I have a unique leadership style that first and foremost seeks mission accomplishment; that being completion and understanding of the raid and its mechanics by the Guardians that I/we assist through the encounters. I am very black and white with minimal shades of gray because I understand how to put players in a position in which they can have fun, excel and contribute to the overall effort. I had the distinct pleasure of attending the Destiny 2 reveal in Los Angeles, Ca through the assistance of a friend who is employed at Activision as well as other prominent community members who wanted me to experience this event. This provided me the opportunity to meet and dialogue with several community leaders to include Tefty Teft, Datto, Pope Bear, True Vanguard, Byf and countless others. Furthermore, the excitement that the reveal provided further propelled my attendance at Guardian Con this past year in which I was able to meet everyday players of the community. The hysteria for Destiny 2's release was at an all-time high. During my most recent deployment, Destiny 2 was released and I, like many of you, enjoyed our initial play-through of the campaign and awaited the release of the game's more difficult encounters. Upon completion of the raid and subsequent challenges it became obvious in late September that the game had limits with regards to progression and the game needed to grow in order to inspire the type of routine play that we enjoyed over the previous three years of the original game. We are now approximately 7 months post-launch and much of the community is severed with regards to the future of the game. I have been critical of this limited progression system while understanding that over time Bungie will likely overcome its current limitations. We are at a critical time in the community and I believe the pending Community Summit provides a unique opportunity to conduct an appropriate azimuth check with candid feedback to the developers. I am not a game developer and do not aspire to be one. I have no idea how difficult it is to make a game but I do know how to make difficult decisions in a dynamic and fluid environment. The content creators and streamers who are attending this event have a responsibility to this community to not be enamored and/or influenced by simply "visiting Bungie Studios". They have a far more enormous responsibility to directly impact the future of the game via dialogue that can possibly course correct Destiny 2. Furthermore, we in the community need to hold these community leaders accountable and trust that the right information is being provided as requested by Bungie. Over the past couple of days I have spent a few hours reviewing news, videos and threads regarding the state of the game and changes that can have an impact. It is my belief that what is required is a meaning to log-in daily, as much of us once did, while also providing the needed endgame for the hard-core to stay invested. The above is smilier to what was outlined from Bungie's "State of Destiny 2" on 29 November 2017: "Going forward, Destiny 2's post-launch game systems, features, and updates are being designed specifically to focus on and support players who want Destiny to be their hobby - the game they return to, and a game where friendships are made." For those attending this event, the following points are provided in which to shape the future of this beautiful game. I'm sure there are several others, but I wanted to do my part to assist your ambitions of pushing the community forward. This is pretty standard military-esque "After-Action Report" style with a distinct PvE focus. Topic: Endgame Progression Discussion: First we must define what "endgame" is within the video game community. I've identified several answers but a common theme is one of two solutions:
The current progression system available for endgame activities in Destiny 2 provides multiple avenues to reach the current max power level of 335. These activities include:
However, once power level 335 is attained the value of these activities and the necessity to complete them on a weekly basis is largely diminished. This is in stark contrast to Destiny 1's endgame progression system, or the progression that the hardcore and/or elite player-base identified within the game; that being stat min/max and perfectly rolled weapons within the random perk roll system available in the base game. Current stat min/max'ing consists of acquiring and equipping the appropriate mods for an armor set which can be completed in as fast as one or two weeks vice the aforementioned Destiny 1 option which provided an almost endless search for the appropriate stat required armor piece. Speaking from experience, I completely roughly 1400 Destiny 1 raids and did not acquire a tier 12 raid armor set which, along with assisting Guardians through raids, kept me conducting the raid activities weekly. Recommendation: It is my belief, and that of several Guardians that I have interacted with over the 3+ years of Destiny's lifespan, that maximum power should require completion of Destiny's most difficult content. In order to attain 335 power, or whatever power level that the future holds, Guardians must complete prestige activities (Prestige Leviathan or Prestige Nightfall) or Trials of the Nine. Additionally, the return of Iron Banner to power level requirements is recommended as another avenue in which to attain max power. Requiring Guardians to attain a certain power level (example: 315 to enter Iron Banner) would necessitate the completion of weekly non-prestige activities in order to gain enough power to enter Iron Banner; thus providing more of the player base conducting Flashpoints, Call to Arms, Public Events, regular Nightfall and Normal Leviathan. The above is not intended to promote elitism; although the elimination of elitism is a futile effort. This community is largely designed around people who enjoy helping others reach the greatest achievements this game has to offer. Assisting Guardians, old and new, through Destiny's most difficult challenges is an enjoyable experience that cannot be overstated. However, finding that reason for elite Guardians who have acquired and/or achieved the games greatest heights to continue to grind the endgame is Bungie's most difficult task with the current progression system. Hence, a recommendation to return to a form of the previous min/max option. Finally, endgame rewards are missing the impactful moments that were commonplace in the previous game. I am largely speaking of exotic raid/nightfall completion rewards that provided meaning to achieving Destiny's milestones. As stated previously, I am not a game designer and cannot begin to fathom the difficulty in building exotic models after the power that was previously experienced in Destiny's original game. I imagine designing perks and abilities available within exotic weapons and armor is an arduous task that may require the continued reintroduction of previous exotic models. I recognize that this is a divisive topic as Guardians would like to experience new levels of power; however, the return of Gjallarhorn, Icebreaker, Thorn, The Last Word or Vex Mythoclast as rewards for completing the most difficult challenges would bring welcomed enthusiasm to much of the community. Furthermore, some of these items could be RNG-based drops with a decisively minimal drop rate from strikes or crucible matches. A further recommendation for this would be for Gjallarhorn or Vex Mythoclast to be designed as raid rewards associated with the appropriate enemy (i.e. Vex raid provides the Mythoclast) and Thorn and The Last Word could be crucible quest-related while exploring the use of the Infinite Forest for introducing Guardians to Dredgen Yor or Shin Malphur. Going a step further the Infinite Forest could provide levers in which to re-unlock the Vault of Glass and Crota's End for the Vex Mythoclast or Gjallarhorn respectively, being as Crota received his fill of Wolfpack rounds in Destiny 1. This also provides avenue for additional armor sets from the aforementioned raids. I understand that reintroducing the previous raids is highly unlikely. I realize that much of this endgame discussion is largely reminiscent of what we previously experience in the original game but the enthusiasm from the community for those 3+ years counters much of the toxicity that we visualize today. I am confident that an appropriate endgame solution can be achieved. Finally I am also confident that new exotics can be designed that are at least equal to the power experienced prior to Destiny 2. Topic: Future Gameplay Experience and/or "the grind" Discussion: Gameplay experience from my optic revolves largely around the day-to-day grind that most Guardian's from Desiny's previous game are extremely familiar. Destiny 2 requires a necessity in which to log-in daily to both spend time with the friends that you have met and interacted with over a possible 3+ years and to achieve desirable weapons, armor, ornaments, etc. These actions, "the grind", are separated into several categories:
Based on the aforementioned hypothesis and topic of endgame, I believe Flashpoints and Call to Arms weekly activities should be included in this weekly grind because they do not provide max level gear. Recommendation: There are three options going forward that I believe can provide meaning to day-to-day grind in Destiny 2:
The acquisition of gear in Destiny 2 is extremely generous. Additionally, given the overall size of the loot pool, gaining each item available occurs quickly. I was deployed in Iraq for 6 months and played Destiny 2 when I could and realized near the end of September that there was limited items in which to acquire. The provision of a large loot pool in which to receive items from day-to-day actions should create enthusiasm for the community to complete activities. Additionally, with regards to the previously mentioned grind activities the introduction of specific loot pools with minimal RNG drops would increase Guardians desire to conduct daily activities. Examples:
Topic: Collectibles Discussion: Guardians who conduct day-to-day activities need an ancillary chase item that provides an additional search within the beautiful worlds that Bungie has created in Destiny 2. Recommendation: Earth, Titan, Nessus, IO, Mercury, the Farm and the Last City are gorgeous landscapes to explore and provide ample opportunity to reintroduce Ghost shell hunting. These Ghosts should provide a number, similar to Grimiore that assists veteran and new Guardians in identifying one another and their respective progression within the game. Furthermore, an overall re-introduction of Grimiore would be a welcomed addition which put the cards in the game via a kiosk vice a lore tab. Topic: Hidden Items or Secrets Discussion: The original game introduced several hidden items, secrets and quests that provided some of the more meaningful moments within the games history. These include but are not limited to: Sleeper Simulant, Black Spindle, No Time to Explain, Touch of Malice and Outbreak Prime. Recommendation: Destiny 2 needs to identify a way in which to bring back hidden items and secrets within the world created. As experienced previously, some of these items need to be extremely difficult to attain and require the use of fellow Guardians to acquire. Furthermore, the acquisition of this weapon needs to provide a feeling of power that is applicable to completing endgame activities. Topic: Quality of Life - Kiosks Discussion: A large concern for the community is the issue of vault space due to the vast amount of shaders provided in Destiny 2. Furthermore, ships and sparrows diminish vault space as well. Recommendation: Reintroduce various kiosks that can retain Guardian's shaders, ships and sparrows. Topic: Quality of Life - Damage Summary Discussion: Following the successful completion of a raid the team is not provided a damage summary of the final encounter. Recommendation: There are several elite Guardian players who truly enjoy assisting newer individuals through Destiny 2's most challenging events; the raids. These activities, when conducted properly by the raid leader, are great opportunities for instruction and teaching in order to help the Guardian hopefully acquire better gear or simply complete the raid. It would be helpful, that even upon completion of the raid, if we as raid leaders could identify damage deficiencies in order to help that Guardian in future encounters. Topic: Subclass Versatility Discussion: The subclasses within Destiny 2 provide limited options in which to appropriately manipulate for an optimal gameplay experience. Recommendation: If possible, within the current game construct, it would be well received to return to a similar example from the original game in which we could retain the ability for build diversity. This would be applicable in several endgame activities and allow Guardians to play the game their way. Topic: Faction Rallies Discussion: I believe this is already likely a possible future result, but pledging to a faction needs to mean something to the Guardian. There needs to be value and the chance of failure with regards to Faction Rallies. An "everyone wins mentality" is not something that I ascribe to and I think losing, in this case a faction rally should you pledge to the non-winning faction, will motivate Guardians for future rallies. Recommendation: Pledging to a faction, whether Future War Cult, Dead Orbit or New Monarchy, should transition to account-based. Most Guardians have enough glimmer, that should they lose the weekly event, will still be able to purchase the winning factions' item. Furthermore, to increase the "grind" and replayability, ornaments need to be unlocked on each character vice account-based. This should also apply to Iron Banner ornaments as well. To this point, the inclusion of a Faction Rally leaderboard, in game, would give Guardians and idea of where their respective faction lies in the competition. These are points to ponder and possibly include in your discussions with the Bungie leadership, developers, and designers. | I Can Remember Waking up at 5:00 AM Before School to Play Rise of Iron And Not Being Able to Get in Posted: 07 Apr 2018 01:27 PM PDT I don't see this happening with the next dlc. If Bungie truthfully believes that their game isn't a shadow of its former self then they're lying to themselves. Please wake up Bungo :( [link] [comments]
