| Remember. Look out for and help each other. Posted: 08 Apr 2018 07:52 AM PDT Seeing several posts from new players compelled me to post this. I was running strikes solo with matchmaking (dead clan) and queued up into the Pyramidian. After reviving a Hunter a few times between the start and the encountering the first beams blocking entry, I turned and noticed them hesitating an looking around at those beams. I knew right away they were new. Been there, done that. So, I made sure to stick close so they could see what to do and where to go. They caught on quickly and even revived me when I did something stupid. So, take a second to see if the members of your team are up to speed. They may need help, and cultivating good will reaps good will. [link] [comments] | ||

| Time to Give Tethers in Mayhem a "Pride Nerf"? Posted: 08 Apr 2018 10:11 AM PDT One of the most common phrases I've heard regarding Mayhem is "If you use Tether then you hate fun!" And sure enough, they're really annoying. They barely need any timing or accuracy. Once they hear another super activated, they just fire into the ground and it shuts off an entire area - particularly frustrating for supers where you need to get in close. Now, it would be silly to nerf Nightstalker abilities over Mayhem, so I'm against any nerf to the class itself. But how about a "pride nerf"? That is, what if instead of congratulating Nighstalkers for taking down tethered opponents in Mayhem, he admonishes them with statements such as: "I'm not sure that playing so 'safely' is in the spirit of Mayhem..." "I like a Guardian that plays to win, but using tethers in Mayhem is a bit desperate don't you think?" "Who hurt you Guardian? Who hurt you so badly that you now hate fun and want to ruin it for everyone else?" What do you reckon? [link] [comments] | ||
| How do you know your crucible match is going to end badly? Posted: 08 Apr 2018 10:09 AM PDT For me it's when I notice I'm in the lead for my team. Since I'm only an average PvP player, if I'm the best my team has to offer we're in trouble lol. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 07 Apr 2018 07:58 PM PDT So, I noticed a sign near Cayde that says "Site Safety- Days since last accident". It said 001. OK, I'll bite. Go jump off the ledge in the hangar/maintenance area, and lo and behold, 000. So the question is, is this my count or for all guardians? Because if it took a good 10+ hours to get reset to 000, then we are all being very safe, at least for guardians. [link] [comments] | ||
| Does Destiny 2 really deserve the hate for not enough endgame content? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:51 PM PDT I think Destiny 2 had a great, engaging campaign that was well integrated into its open world. The world itself is massive and all the planets are unique, large and interesting with plenty of things to explore and discover. It also has a fun and intense multiplayer pvp (the crucible), and plenty of pve event/missions to do. Despite this, I've always noticed that it recieves a lot of criticism for the lack of end game. Maybe the missions and raids are a little repetitive and doing them is a little redundant once you max out your power level, but does that really matter? Shouldn't every game give you the ability to be max out its progress without spending >1000 hours on it? So many full priced games give less gameplay variety, have short/non-existent campaigns but are still praised for other aspects such as a great multiplayer (which I believe Destiny 2 also has). So many games also have great campaigns, like Destiny 2 but don't receive any criticism for lack of endgame, despite having none at all. Although Destiny 2 is far from a perfect game, a lot of this criticism it receives seems a bit unwarranted. PS. I never played Destiny 1 so a lot of the "it's just the same thing/worse" criticisms don't apply to me. [link] [comments] | ||
| Masterworks should turn Kinetics into Energy, and vice versa Posted: 08 Apr 2018 09:51 AM PDT Pretty simple proposition, instead of having Vanguard and Crucible Masterworks, allow us to turn a gun into a Kinetic or Energy weapon for more loadout possibilities. For example, having an Energy Nameless Midnight with a Kinetic Better Devils, or Energy Antiope D with a Kinetic Nightshade. [link] [comments] | ||

| Current Hunter Guide's and Gear Recommendations? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 09:30 PM PDT Pretty straight forward, looking for some current Guide and Gear recommendations. Played for about a month after release and finally decided to return. Looking for specifics on mods and such. Also what gun setup to run for raids. I prefer Sniper Rifles but they seem to be weak from what ive been able to find so far. Any and all help appreciated, thanks! Edit: I play Gunslinger/Nightstalker [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 08 Apr 2018 05:14 AM PDT Hello, I'm completely new to the game. I didn't discover anything crazy in Aphix Conduit. There was just a lot of weirdness around it, specifically that the enemies would not attack me at all. It made such an impression to me, that I started looking for the lost sector afterwards, and saw what other people think about it. I recorded part of it in a very low frame rate video, because I opened Relive on the spot (I usually have it disabled), just to record the weirdness. Anybody else got something like this? | Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:47 PM PDT What's the best masterwork to get for Origin Story? Right now I rolled magazine, but I'm not sure if there's anything better I should go for. I'm also going for Crucible masterwork, if that means anything for the answer [link] [comments] | ||

| just hit 20, what order should i do content to get higher level gear? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 08:00 PM PDT should i just finish campaign and then do strikes, or is it better to farm for tokens and get faction gear, are there adventures that give exotics etc. im not sure how it works exactly but it seems like its better to have a higher power level before getting gear because then the gear will be stronger? or is it all fixed (campaign rewards etc) [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 08 Apr 2018 09:25 AM PDT With games like Warframe, H1Z1, PUBG, Fortnite pioneering shooting game play mixed with visually being able to SEE your loot, I think Destiny 2's biggest fault is that to see my gear earned, or any customization I need to hold a sword or use my super. While this detracts from the fluid 1st Person game play, I think having the option to play the game entirely in 3rd Person should be implemented. The code is clearly already there, but to allow shooting to be done from third person to me would allow the game to actually have a basis for being a "Looter" shooter where I can actually SEE my character. | Posted: 07 Apr 2018 03:53 PM PDT I recently received the deluxe edition of this game and I've played the first couple hours of it so far. I wanted to share my thoughts. I'm really liking it. It's a far cry from what I'm used to, which is Dark Souls and Monster Hunter, and I'm using m+kb, which is even further from familiar territory. On top of that, it's an online game! I have so little experience with online shooters it's silly. I'm dying alot. Playing terribly. I accidentally use my Super constantly. Can't find objectives sometimes. And I'm having so much fun :) I'm not really a social gamer, so I probably won't be participating in very many public things, but you folks seem pretty cool for the most part. I don't know anything about Bungies betrayal and have no bitterness for the games beginnings, but I wasn't there. I can't possibly know. But what I see now, I love. If I had to compare it to anything, it's everything that I try to pretend Borderlands 2 is, and everything that I remember Halo being (through nostalgic lenses). I've got a few thousand cubes now, and I'm crazy about those geometric balls with weapons and stuff in them. I can already tell this game play loop is perfect for me. Still learning the ropes, but I'm sure I'll catch up soon enough. My friend wasted a Benjamin on this game for me so I'll have to, anyways. I'm just glad it's not terrible :) What was your first experience with this game like? With destiny as a whole? Anyone else just get started? [link] [comments] | ||
| Help with Hunter armor for high res build & shaders? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 07:00 PM PDT Hey I'm trying to go with stats of like 6/10/0 or maybe 6/8/2 or 4/8/4, and I know the opinions vary, I've seen that the better pvp players go high mobility but then a lot also go high res, average mobility, and average recovery, then if you go lightweight weapons you get the added mobility. Wondering what armor to get because I can't get the high res stats and I'm trying to use 1 mod for absorption, then the other mods I'm using for melee or paragon, and maybe one for speed. Any good tips on shaders as well? I'm not to picky and have tried a bunch but the colors are all just like a rainbow or something crazy, I know some armor is better with shaders so any tips on like black, red, not sure what other colors to look for, the monochromatic seems decent for some stuff.
