I know this rant is all for nothing and no one will listen, but I had to put my thoughts somewhere.

To the spoiled children replying with hatred on BDO_News' Twitter and whining about extended maintenance times:

You bitch and moan about shitty servers, they finally do something about it, and now you bitch and moan because apparently you're so spoiled and addicted that you can't stay away from the game for more than a day and have to start insulting Kakao and PA as companies for trying to make the game more enjoyable for us. And I'm not talking about the jokes and memes. I'm talking about the ones saying stuff like "Maybe it wasn't all LeaseWeb" or "...this bullshit company that is run by morons." Did you really think it would take only 10 hours? Black Desert is a huge game with a gargantuan database. It's going to take time and they want to make sure the game runs optimally. God forbid they actually want to make the game better for you spoiled shits.

It may have taken a really long time (probably due to contracts), but they do NOT deserve to face the toxicity they are facing simply because it's taking a while for them to try to make the game more enjoyable for us. Chill the fuck out. The game will be back with a fresh server and a fresh patch tomorrow. Stop acting like it's the apocalypse. Play another game, watch youtube all day, go for a walk whatever. But stop being so toxic when Kakao and PA have been trying to A) improve communications and B) improve overall quality.

Just wanted to say a thank you for the developers working around the clock to get the servers up and a new patch. Although, I and a lot of other people don't agree with some of the stuff in it and their faulty extensions, I am very grateful for their hard work! The developers do not deserve to get shit on every time. They are people too.

About all this foaming at the mouth because you guys couldn't play a game for a whole day.

Even if the Server Migration/Maintenance is going south because of incompetency etc it was just a bit sad watching Twitter and Reddit do nothing but cry, be toxic and demand entitlement.

I've been through WoW maintenance, I remember a few going almost 10+ hours. That was just weekly scheduled maintenance too.

This is standard procedure for MMOs and considering this was way more than standard maintenance, it's no surprise things took longer than expected.

I know players have invested a lot of time and money into the game, but that doesn't mean a mere day or two of not playing is going to ruin your hard work. Hell you're even being give VP Kama time based on downtime.

Take your Xanax and chill. You'll be able to play again.

As we previously mentioned, considering the amount of downtime respectively and that it took much longer than what we've scheduled it for (especially for the NA server change process), please receive the compensation as follows:

[NA] All buffs extended +2 Days [Event] Item Collection Increase Scroll x5 GM's Blessing 1 (1h) x20 All buff extension will be implemented during 5/2 Maintenance *Items will be sent out with further notice in this thread

[NA & EU Both] Combat EXP +100% & SKill EXP +20% After 4/26 Maintenance ~ 5/2 Maintenance Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused and thank you for your patience.

We hope you will continue enjoying BDO and have a lot of fun with us!
