~50 hrs played; Still haven't made much progress Posted: 04 Apr 2018 11:55 AM PDT I feel I have the basics down but I don't really know what to do from there. I'm always playing a lone so sharing loot is never an option. What's the best way to get weapons in this game? Find parts and put them together or buy them from a vendor? I'm a bit confused on that. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Apr 2018 07:29 PM PDT Its day 14 and my friend and I have been working on a mountain built out of wood frames and dirt blocks. So things have been going slow but it's almost done and we log into the server and we are stuck falling through the world. After we get back to our house the game is extremely glitchy and pauses every second. Shooting at the mountain causes the game to pause so we build some dynamite and blow the house up. We have learned from this mistake and are making a new world, warning to others you can only build so much. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 03:09 AM PDT EDIT: As the bot reminded me, this is a PC-related post - although I don't know whether the seeds differ between PC and console. Hi, I know we've seen a thread where people collected seeds that they liked. I'm looking for seeds (Alpha 16 ofc) that you guys DIDN'T like (or did, if you have certain masochistic tendencies like I do). I'm not looking for a map containing only water, but one with, say, lots of Wasteland/Burnt Biome, Traders and good POIs hard to find/reach etc. I want to do a Let's Play of Alpha 16 that's supposed to be as hard as the game allows (vanilla, no mods, Insane, zombies always run, no air drops, minimum loot, Max. zombie Count etc.) and am trying to find a suitable map... If there's already a thread like this one that I couldn't find, would someone be so kind as to link it here? I appreciate everyone's input. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Left for a while, came back, has the game been hugely optimized since? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 09:25 PM PDT Last time I played was a few months back, graphics settings are maxed out and I'm at a smooth 80fps, I don't recall this hapenning the last I played, I haven't been paying attention to the updates, has the game been optimized in a recent update? I feel like it's running a lot better... Might just be me tho... [link] [comments]
Pit Fall Trap failing to Rad Cops/Wrights Posted: 04 Apr 2018 05:14 AM PDT https://i.imgur.com/Pdunpoc.png (Above) Picture of the pit after horde night. My Wife and I play on a private MP server. Difficulty 6 W/R. We've played on this map for 72 hours(days) and finally finished our first pit fall trap. However the horde came on day 70 and our defense fell completely apart. We're level 140 and 91. The horde is littered with Rad Cops/Wrights and are extremely difficult to kill. I've seen many videos on pit fall traps killing/disabling hordes allowing easy clean up at night. But in our instance it's not working that way. We dug a hole down to bedrock (-51 elevation). Filled a 3x3 with spikes upgraded to max. Put re-bar frames and upgrade to max pillars all around the pit as demonstrated in many of the videos. It works for stray zombies falling in, they die on impact mostly. TLDR: How can we improve the Pit Fall Trap? It's failing to hold the horde with both of us down there smacking/shooting the entire time. [link] [comments]
