True Dota 2 - What are your pocket heroes/strats and why?

What are your pocket heroes/strats and why?

I'm talkin heroes that you pull out if you 100% want to win. Heroes that you know for a fact are op but nobody else knows it. Heroes that you've mastered and can destroy pubs with 100% of the time.

For me it's Visage. You just rush medallion then HotD and start taking all the T1 towers by 15 minutes. After that you rotate from lane to lane looking for picks and getting T2's. Then all you have to do is Rosh, give it to your carry, and get a racks. Rinse and repeat for easy wins.

Give up your secrets and give us the mmr we need.

How viable is safelane brewmaster?

Posted: 28 Mar 2018 02:24 PM PDT

Ive been experimenting with this and it feels pretty strong. I play it much like a lone druid except I skip midas and go straight for radiance after brown boots and raindrops. Brew is very strong in lane and can bully most offlaners enough to secure himself free farm. Once brew gets ult he basically becomes unkillable. If they do try to gank you after 6 you just ult and turn it for a double kill. If they dont you just freefarm and finish radiance in 16-17 minutes.

Once you have radiance you push as a team whenever split is up. The brew spirits are pretty much unkillable until later in the game and function much like a radiance bear, except with way more utility.

After radiance I build blink into bkb (if needed) into ac into heart. I also try to build skull basher right about the time i get the +100 attack speed talent. For skill build ive been going 0-1-1-0 into 4-1-1-1 into 4-1-4-1. For talents i take +30 damage, +3 slow duration or +20% mr on a game by game basis, +100 attack speed, +15 drunken brawler crit.

How to counter Visage boosters mid?

Posted: 28 Mar 2018 02:47 PM PDT

Recently I have been matched with and against a lot of Visage mid players where you check their profile and it looks like:

PlayerName has earned Guardian[1]

PlayerName has earned Guardian[2]

PlayerName has earned Guardian[3]

PlayerName has earned Guardian[4]

...

all the way up to Ancient 3 where I currently am. I wonder if any of you have any ideas of how to counter a booster Visage mid, and how to counter his pushing. Thanks.

I've seen several Lunas (rtz, sylar, monet, etc.) in pro games build sny instead. What happened to the manta build?

I have a problem with intense teamfighting. My neck gets very tense and I get very uncomfotable.

Posted: 27 Mar 2018 09:16 PM PDT

I just played a couple games with brood and beastmaster in some scrims with my new team for an rd2l tiny tournament. I've had this problem before, and it's very prevalent with micro heroes like visage and brood. I get into a teamfight, and then I get hyper focused on what needs to be done to win the engagement. I don't even think. I'm like freeflowing my thoughts into the game. It's almost like a trance. After that happens for a couple seconds, my neck gets very tense and I almost want to snap my neck back. It's really odd. I have to shake my head after when that happens and I'm usually good. I don't think it affects my play, but it's just very odd. I'm not sure if I just need more practice in fast engagements or if it's just something that will stay.

Does anything similar happen to you guys?

Can someone help do a quick analysis on this?

I was the shaman; didn't watch replay. However if I were to do a hindsight right after the game, it was probably of the feeds where I commited my shackle into a bad position early and snowballed those mistakes throughout the game. It was prob some communication fault too that mAde me commit too much witgout any follow up. Anyway I think I was straight up bad and I remembered my spec telling Us not to keep fighting..
