Silly Question Sunday is a weekly thread in which you can ask your RuneScape-related silly questions:

  • "Newb" questions from new players
  • Questions from returning players
  • Silly or nonsensical questions
  • Questions you feel stupid asking elsewhere

Of course, a question thread wouldn't make much sense without answers, so please help out with any answers that you have!

I've seen some extortionate prices for leeching Beastmaster/Yakamaru +/- feats. Just a reminder I'll happily take anyone to these bosses for FREE, so long as they have T80+ Power Armour + T90+ weapon and you're willing to learn over voice (you're welcome to mute). I'm helping a fair amount of people with IFB reqs atm, so don't waste your money on these teams. Give us a "do not skull me or allow me to perform actions that would skull me" toggle for the wilderness.

Skulling should be an intentional effort on the part of the player who is skulling - full stop.

With the huge spike in clues scroll interest it has been really fun to see everyone in random places all over the map. Eventually, the hype will die down but the same feeling could be kept if we had an official world for it.

These shortcuts are largely unused, allow us to attach a grappling hook (maybe an unbreakable grapple crafted through invention?) at the cost of slayer points or something.

Pros: won't fuck up people killing vyres

Clue hunters don't have to deal with aggro which is probably annoying

Cons: some people might feel inclined to do an easy quest series

I've seen people in areas of the game that haven't been populated in over a decade. It has been so refreshing to see other people actually playing the game, wishing each other good luck with their clues; it's a feeling I've not felt in a really long time and something I've missed.

I know I'm not alone in this and I think it's a good example of the real benefits we'd get from reducing server count if Jagex went out of their way to make sure we're not tripping over each other at every turn.

All I know is that this last week has been the first time in a long time where the game hasn't felt like it's dying and if it's to have a future I think we need to focus on reintroducing the social element that we've lost.
