| Posted: 26 Mar 2018 11:33 PM PDT So my game is really fucked up right now. I have settings almost bare minimum, with DoF and SSAO off, reflections off, and I have a horrible stuttering issue. I know my RAM is low. It runs around 7.4 gigs on a 2x4gb (8gb) corsair vengeance. Both GPU and CPU run at about 50% I've tried lowering view distance from 12 to 8 and there was no difference. I play in a very large city, but I'm not so sure that's the issue. Since I get 60 smooth fps in between the stutters that happen every couple seconds AND I stutter while standing still, mining a boulder or something. Indoors, it gets better. Any suggestions to lessen/solve this problem? GTX 1060 6GB i5 6500 3.2ghz 8gb ddr4 Corsair Vengeance Running on a HDD [link] [comments] | ||
| A little something... from me to every 7 days to die lovers. Posted: 26 Mar 2018 02:27 AM PDT Hey fellow zombie hunters. Just a few days ago Joel, the main creator of 7 Day's To Die has reached 50,000 Subscribers on his YouTube Channel. I would like to foremost welcome you Joel for your first mile stone achieved on YouTube! Just like to see you reach 100,000 within the next year or so. This game has come a long way from the long early days of Alpha 1... man things have changed. I, myself started, well more like bought the game with it was in Alpha 6.. So I've been here through 10 Alphas and boy in the early days to now.. so much has changed and improved. A game that has started off as a open world game where you just explore a pre-created world, gather materials and kill a zombie here and there, to now full on horde nights, air drops, sleepers, workstations, forges, new POI's, random-gen, more animals.. it really blows my mind, I've always wanted a game like this, to be able to sit down after 8 to 10 hour work shift to play 7 day's.. it's hella worth it. I would like to thank you Joel, for creating such an amazing game, how you continue to update the game and share your work, the progress you and your team have made. With new people working on the game, I'm sure the updates will continue to come out. Thank you for the mods... Thank you for the Tutorials... Thank you for the Videos... Thank you for 7 Day's To Die.. Thank you.... Joel... Here is to a great game! CHEERS!. Sorry if it's a little long but yeah. [link] [comments] | ||

| Workbench crafting increase confusion Posted: 26 Mar 2018 09:33 AM PDT So I crafted a Crossbow at the workbench, with weapon smithing level 6 (350 quality). But the crossbow was crafted at 300 quality. Why? In the description of the workbench is says "Improve items up to 100 quality point above your crafting skill". Yet it come out below my crafting skill? I also crafted a Hunting Knife and that was also 300 quality and a Sledgehammer which came out at 300. My Tool Smithing is also at level 6 (350 quality). Any help appreciated. Thanks. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 26 Mar 2018 10:20 PM PDT Okay so I've been playing this game for a while, since alpha 10 I believe, and just introduced it to a new friend. He loves it and we've been playing it hard for the past while. However, we just finished our day 35 horde and it was quite easy... we do have a very nice base (concrete pillar walls surrounded by 3 rows wood log spikes and 3 rows wood spikes). All we had were a lot of normal zombies, some bikers, and some Hawaiians, as well as a sprinkling of dogs. We very easily cleared this horde. But I remember when I used to play seeing cops by now and even ferals destroying our base. So what's the progression of blood horde difficulty? Are we missing something? My settings are just all standard in terms of zombies, so I know I could turn those up. I just don't know if this would introduce those new zombie types to our world. (Sorry for the long text, first Reddit post...) [link] [comments] | ||
| while waiting for the next release...what are you playing? Posted: 26 Mar 2018 07:12 AM PDT I'm kinda burnt on this game and going to wait for the next release (jeeps!) to start a new world. What are similar games you playing, good for small co-op that are no more grindy than this one? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 26 Mar 2018 08:35 AM PDT Missing Zombie Name: Screamer Last seen wearing white long dress with blooded bottom approximately on 140th day. Looks like something that crawled out of TV during Japanese TV show. Screams. Please help finding her. Now on serious note. I have not seen any screamer zombies after 140th day (approximately). I need to kill few for "Silence of the lambs" and "You're Nothing Special" quests. Anyone seen this happening - when after given time this zombie stop coming? Also missing Bears - I think I killed them all. Probably should have lefts at least 2 so they can procreate. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 26 Mar 2018 08:53 AM PDT I've played the game since early 2014. I remember the crafting grid and see the changes that have been made. I've been playing a lot of alpha 16 and have had a few observations. After the initial starting phase, the rest is just grind. I can see and it's reaffirmed in the comments elsewhere, that you reach a certain point where all you're doing is harvesting and repairing/rebuilding defenses against the zombies. Maybe for me and some of the others, it's where we choose to locate the base, but I've had like 6 random hordes come through and kill themselves on my base defenses. This was in the last two days. I have almost spent more time repairing my defenses then trying to accomplish new tasks. Once the game reaches the grind, it isn't any fun anymore and there's a dilemma that occurs. Should I start over? You're torn because the initial surviving was fun, exploration is fun, discovering something new is fun. Grinding and repairing the base for survival is not fun. But should I restart? Forgo all the hard work I've put into the base? With no end game in place, and no actual end rumored (from what I've seen), the game has no place to go but grind. Maybe with more people, it isn't that way. I am playing SP. Would love to see some kind of end goal, cure, etc. Reach day 150 or something and get a radio transmission (build a radio tower) or note and get led to a special research faciilty. Build an air field for a plane or coptor to land. Something. Without an end goal, grinding is inevitable. Next the bike glitch. OMG. The minibike, assuming the gods of the RNG don't screw you, is hard to be able to build. If the RNG is completely against you then neigh impossible. Having the bike teleport randomly or ride off or whatever is happening is beyond frustrating. I had the bike disappear while I was riding it. Riding the bike, game crashed, bike gone, just walking. Speaking of crap when the game crashes... I'll jump over the instability of the game and the fact that I didn't notice any mention of making the game more stable. The way points. When a package drops, I have mine set to set a way point. If my game crashes, or I log out, some times, not always, the package disappears or at least the way point. Very frustrating. I see all the pretty things that have been mentioned for the upcoming 17 and I'm excited about a few of them. But honestly, I feel like this game is kind of digging it's own grave ignoring at least a few of these. That's been my experience so far. [link] [comments] | ||
| Missing Bikes and Cells after game crash. Posted: 26 Mar 2018 08:41 AM PDT My game crashed (power outage). After I re-login I am missing all the items that were not stored in chests on in my backpack: 2 bikes (one had bunch of items in the basket). about 12 car batteries from 3 battery banks. And Most important 8 Solar Cells from 2 Solar Banks! You will not believe how much beer I had to cell to get the money to buy them. The best part - it happened on 188th day - tomorrow zombie fun time, and my traps are inoperational. (I guess I can make emergency Generator banks). Anyone seen this glitch? [link] [comments] | ||

| (Valmod)(A16.4) gunpowder crafting? Posted: 26 Mar 2018 09:30 AM PDT Hi, I feel silly for asking but I cannot find an answer anywhere. In Valmod, how do I craft gunpowder? I thought it was chem station w/beaker, but I was wrong... [link] [comments] | ||
| question about difficulty xml modding Posted: 26 Mar 2018 09:11 AM PDT Hello, i'm modding quite a bit of stuff in the xml files, and I would like to play in a difficulty setting similar to fallout4 survival, something like 200% player and zombie damage (and possibly apply it to insane difficulty, for the max gamestage multiplier). Is it possible to modify the vanilla difficulty settings through xml files, create a new custom difficulty setting, or should i just modify every weapon and hand zombie values in the items.xml? Thanks [link] [comments] | ||
| What to do to keep the game fun Posted: 26 Mar 2018 12:25 PM PDT I've played a lot on ps4, and now I plan on getting the game on Xbox One to play with some IRL friends. While speaking with one of my friends it seems we have the same problem with the game, we launch it every 5-6 months, only to plya a week or 2 and then when we reach days 40-50 it's getting boring because we can survive any scenario. So is there something that you do to keep the game fun and reach like days 100 or even 200 ? [link] [comments] | ||
