Niantic, it is time to implement an official Gym Raid Map Posted: 21 Mar 2018 04:11 PM PDT If the major maps in my area all go down as a result of the recent IP bans to combat maps, I will be unable to continue to coordinate raids. If I can't coordinate raids, I can't raid, and I can't keep giving you money. If you want to stop people from using maps to drive to 100%s, so be it, but you need to provide a substitute for otherwise legitimate raiders, or say goodbye to your bottom line [link] [comments]

Where are the magikarps?? And the World Water Day event?? Posted: 21 Mar 2018 12:41 AM PDT Since Gen 3 and the Weather update, Magikarp has become so rare. Please give us a Water day event for our chance to complete our magikarp medals . Last years Water day event had lots of magikarp but I had a broken foot . Please give an event again this year Niantic? [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Mar 2018 09:19 PM PDT I have a theory about Pokemon Shiny-ness I'd like to explore. I believe that shiny-ness is not determined when an egg is picked up (as other traits are: species, IVs, etc) and that Pokemon who run away from your Go Plus & Gotcha never had the chance to become shiny in the first place (and therefore don't contribute to your shiny "rate"). Here's why: From what I've gathered, shiny-ness is determined when the model is loaded (aka when you click on a pokemon and it appears in your catch screen, or hatches from an egg and appears on screen. This is evidenced by two main points. a) a shiny pokemon has never appeared as run away in a journal via go plus because a go plus would not need to load the model of a pokemon unless caught and put into your bag. If the model is never loaded, it would never go through the process of "turning" shiny through an RNG (like it would when tapped on). b) Following that, during the pikachu hat event, all pikachus that ran away appeared in the journals as not wearing a hat- because the game never loaded the pokemon model to see the hat, only collected the information to display to the user- the pokemon species and cp. Therefore, I think it's safe to say that when a potential shiny runs away from your go plus, you need not worry. It was never "the one" anyway. Thoughts? [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Mar 2018 10:12 PM PDT is it worth it to evolve/power-up babies that can be caught in the wild? what are you doing with yours? just collecting? living pokedex? evolving/powering? [link] [comments]
Meet my now level 40 grandfather. Posted: 21 Mar 2018 01:52 PM PDT Hello r/pokemongo! How's it going? A good while ago I made this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/6xp58l/meet_my_level_37_80_year_old_grandfather/?st=JF1K7ZYF&sh=1cb26601) and it got a lot of attention. So I figured y'all might want an update! A few days back I got a message from him, and it was a pretty huge surprise! He kept at the game, grinding his hardest, and finally reached it!
