| Halo: Onyx (Idea for a game based on GoO) Posted: 29 Mar 2018 07:19 PM PDT One of the biggest Spartan III fanboys here, My idea for a full fledged Halo game with focus on Spartan III's through and through. Campaign: Start the campaign showing the legend "Spartans never die" Kurt-051/Ambrose, working with blue team and eventually leading to him starting with mendez on the Spartan III program. Go through each company, starting with Alpha in the shoes of Shane A-112 and through his whole ordeal to the very end, Then go to Beta Company in the eyes of Tom- B292 with Lucy and his squad there as well, playing through their story till the bitter end and then Jump to Gamma company in the eyes of Ash-G099. All while skipping around these stories you see certain Spartans getting pulled out of the Programs, like famous Alpha company Spartans Emile, Jun and Carter, while in Beta you see Kat and a male Spartan (Noble 6) get pulled, those would be the most recognizable ones, but 343 could sneak in some others that have been mentioned in Canon. Ending the games campaign with Blue Team and Dr Halsey and Mendez (show him for the first time in a game) fighting a huge Covenant onslaught with the Beta/Gamma Spartan III's left on the planet. Multiplayer: Have the multiplayers main focus be on more of an old school Halo meets new, No ground pound, Spartan charge, hovering, etc. (You're in SPI armor) but I could still see sprint, clamber and sliding to be around. Your Spartan is in SPI armor, to those who don't know THIS is SPI, No shields. My idea, Your armor gets burned, bullet ridden and breaks as you fight, there's the old school health pack system that doubles as Health and armor restoration to a point. You can although pick up Equipment like in Halo 3, such as jackal shields like they used in the books, It would act like the Hard-light shields in Halo 4 ( I don't think many complained about that specific armor ability.) Weapons: Being set in 2552 and on a UNSC training planet, you've got all of your main UNSC weapons set in that time, Covenant weapons, and Sentinel beam (For canon reasons) BUT, Introducing MA5K Carbine, which is Automatic, but I would go the extra mile and say it can be changed to semi-automatic or burst fire for the more accurate shots at range. Introducing Halo's first alternate firing Weapon. (To my knowledge) And lastly Co-op/PVE Modes: So being set with Spartan III's you've got your obvious modes, Campaign and Fire-fight. But I thought it'd be Nice to introduce a real challenge for you and your one other friend. The Legendary, the Canon accurate; Head-Hunters. You and 1 other friend going through a Battlefield 1 Domination (As in the story progresses as you do) style mode facing Hordes and Hordes of Covenant enemies, tackle the mission as you two deem fit, be it all out brawls or Stealthier approaches, making use of detonated bombs, Active camo and Stealth gameplay to get behind enemy lines and complete the missions no one else could do. Of course in this game mode you'd be given the legendary Mark V [B] type armor featured in Halo Reach/ Halo Headhunters, So shields are back, but limited supplies of Healthpacks and ammo are too. Use whats given to you and use those sparingly given supply drops to your advantage. TLDR; I think a Halo: Ghost of Onyx game would be absolutely fantastic, give us Spartan III fanboys/girls a chance to see our Favorite Spartans in action, and let us have badass customized Spartan's in SPI armor with knives/ammunition hanging off us. | Halo Reach had a great no-bullshit menu Posted: 29 Mar 2018 05:09 AM PDT It's no secret that Halo 5's UI is confusing and just simply annoying to navigate. I would honestly love Halo Reach's menu, where it shows your character with you and your fireteam WHILE you navigate, and you don't have to press 'X' to show who's in your team. It was laid out very neatly and didn't require horizontal scrolling. I hate when developers change things just to change them, and Bungie is having the same issue with Destiny. Don't fall into that trap 343, make Halo 6 have a no-nonsense menu. [link] [comments] | ||

| Does anyone else feel like killing Prometheans holds no weight? Posted: 29 Mar 2018 08:51 AM PDT Does anyone else feel like killing Prometheans holds no weight? Like that you're just killing a lifeless machine with no humanity or consequence? I have realized that, though, these enemies are supposed to be digitized souls, they're just goofy, overtly-chatty, or more aggressive versions of forerunner frames. Just feels like artificial or forced quirks on top of what is supposed to be an efficient killing/supporting machine. As if their goal is to more show off their personality than it is to be an efficient killer. I feel no soul behind the enemies and when I dispose of them it feels less impactful than killing any other enemy in Halo history. And I'm realizing this is probably my biggest reason to dislike Halo's current direction. And then there's the part where everything needs a face. (Just why?) I will say that I feel the most well done enemy is the watcher, but the biggest offenders to me, by far, are the soldiers and Warden Eternal. Does anyone else feel this way? [link] [comments] | ||

| Why Are They Called Forerunners Still? Posted: 29 Mar 2018 03:29 PM PDT Their problems concluded long ago, and I suggest they should be called Forehiders at this point. What remains is pretty hard to locate. [link] [comments] | ||
| Halo 5: Any suggestions for playing something NOT SWEATY? Posted: 29 Mar 2018 02:19 PM PDT Hey Everyone, I know this late into the game the population is low, but man I'm really starting to get frustrated with how pretty much every single match, no matter what game type, It seems I'm going up against oynx and champs, even in super fiesta. I check their profiles on waypoint...Oh they are champs....haha I made an alt account and within a few games i'm playing the same people. I've played classic playlist and that is starting to get pretty sweaty as well. I really wish they made quick play or at least one playlist that was solely based on connection, so that we could have a mixture of skill levels. Any tips on having fun on halo 5 right now? | I would really love to play these games more often... Posted: 29 Mar 2018 04:30 PM PDT But the community ruins it for me. Now, I'm more talking about the actual game's (MCC) community, not this subs. I have no experience here so I can't speak for it. I honest to god, hate the community around these games. 90% of the games I play there will be one partner who is a team-killing fucktard, just because you got to the power weapons before them. Every game, at least two people leave the match. Why? Who knows. There is no point in playing cross-game playlists, because you're only going to get Halo 3 (my least favourite multiplayer in the series, put down the pitchforks). Majority of the players I come across are extremely toxic. I know, people are toxic, but the amount of toxicity in this game is absurd. God forbid when these people decide to message you. Any ideas on how to deal with this? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 29 Mar 2018 04:14 PM PDT 117 is probably the most popular. If you could choose your favorite track what would it be? My choice would probably be Wreckage or Lasky's Theme. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 29 Mar 2018 03:02 PM PDT Is there a site showing the current population of Halo 4/5? If not, does anyone have any idea of the current population of the titles are? I seem to always play against a rotation of about 30 of the same players in a specific playlist whenever I spend a few hours in a certain playlist. [link] [comments] |
