3.3.0 Patch Notes

Hi all! Same as last time! We're requiring you to follow the format below (you can copy paste it). Please, please, please follow this format, and check to see if what you are reporting has already been said:

**Explanation**: **Evidence**: **If replicable, how**: **Platform**:

By doing this, we can use the upvote system to measure severity/frequency and also provide the developers with more info than simply, "Hey, this thing is not working, can you fix? Thanks." While allowing less severe/frequent bugs some more visibility instead of flooding the thread with the same bug. If you wish to report a bug and see that it's already reported, then just reply to that comment. If you have a workaround for that bug, then comment it on that post.

Main objective elemental indicator

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 01:02 PM PDT

As it has been suggested before, we need an icon or visual displaying what element we will be fighting for the main objective.

The message that appears can appear before or after someone runs over an encampment, then two elements show up and people don't know what it is.

Something so important to know for building is not even an obvious thing on screen.

Also please only do single elements for ride the lightning. The chest reward sucks and its already the hardest mission imo

Please make it easier to report players

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 06:53 AM PDT

Heey guys,

This is half a rant, half a request. Epic, please please make it easier to report players. Today I had three games with 2 people AFK. I am so fedup with it. It just sucks so hard, because I am doing al their work, they get the rewards, and half the time the mission fails, so I wasted my time. The problem is, that most of those players had incredibly hard names to spell, with russian symbols etc. So when I report players, I need to type their name, which is impossible for me with a normal keyboard. Can you make it that I can just click their name and report them? That way I can finally report those people. Because blocking them is not enough.

If there is an easier way that I haven't discovered, I would love to hear from you people how to do it. Thanks!

Tips for targeted resource farming

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 07:32 PM PDT

I saw multiple people in game asking where to farm coal and bolts so I figure why not be a good outlander and share from my experience so here's the list.

Wood: smash stacks of pallets and telephone poles to quickly gather wood in industrial areas or any time you see them and need wood.. Search stacks of lumber for wood and planks.

Stone: mining black rocks and quartz nodes gives a lot and stacks of bricks can be searched for both bricks and rough stone when in cities.. Especially abundant at construction sites.

Metal: larger vehicles and coal/ore nodes are faster than cars... Stacks of pipes can be searched for metal and bolts.

Nuts and bolts: transformer stations in industrial areas give the most. A single anti-material charge in one can get you over a stack, but any electrical box or transformer will give some.. Parking meters, tool boxes and green computer towers also drop them. Playground equipment is rarer but worth smashing as well.

Coal: fire pits, fireplaces in suburb homes, small red toolboxes, treasure chests and occasionally crates or other tool boxes... And of course coal nodes. Fastest way is probably mines in non-city missions.

Plant fibers: tv sets, vending machines and crates can all be searched for plant fibers.. Crates can give multiple fibers. Desynthing found healing pads and gas traps also really add up if you don't need them or they are too low lvl.. Also found by searching plants, obviously.... It's probably the fastest way but the other ways work and are less tedious.

Mechanical parts: vehicles, anything that zaps when you hit it especially large transformers, air conditioners beside houses or on top of commercial buildings, kitchen appliances and cabinets, green computer towers and terminals, the often neglected gray power boxes on the sides of buildings and the blue boxes mostly by telephone poles.. Can also be found in crates or after smashing large red tool boxes... Loot them first. Sinks toilets and bathtubs can also drop them but don't really seem worth hunting down. Searching crates is worth it for the plant fibers alone tho so these are just a bonus... Also the wheelbarrows.... Nobody ever smashes them but they should..

Bacon: don't bother mucking through toilets for bacon... Dog houses in the suburbs can be searched for bacon and then smashed for multiple additional bacons... Even better they often come in pairs. Also graves can yield bacon.......

Lastly be sure to do your storm chests if you upgraded a schematic in the high end of any area.. They often drop weapons that can be recycled for up to 9 high end mechanic parts and some high end ore.. I see a lot of people skipping them... Don't be those people.

Ninjas sword perks should apply to all edged damage

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 08:30 AM PDT

At the moment spears and scythes are weak due to there not being heroes that benefit from using them. If all melee ninja perks (easy sword, assasination etc.) applied to edged weapons and not just swords it would make scythes and spears viable

Suggestion: A "Recycle" Option for Non-Recyclable Items

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 12:38 PM PDT

Currently there are a lot of limited-edition and event items in the game that can't be recycled at all. While I assume this is to keep people from accidentally getting rid of these exclusive items with no way to replace the, it's also a bit of an annoyance when it comes to leveling them. With most items it's safe to level them as high as you'd like with the knowledge that you can get get a large portion of the resources invested returned to you when the item is recycled, but we can't do that with these other items. I know that I've currently got resources invested in items that I'd like to be able to get back, and I have other items that I'd like to try out at a higher level but have yet to upgrade because I know that anything invested is just gone forever if I end up not liking or using that particular item.

With all of that said, is there any way we could get some kind of system where using the "Recycle" option on these non-Recyclable heroes, schematics, etc. just reverts them back to level one and gives us back resources as though we'd recycled them, minus the exp and items normally received for recycling the base item? It'd let people level up these items without using up resources while still keeping them from destroying any time-limited or limited-edition schematics or heroes, and it's something that I'd personally love to be able to do. I have a few levels in the Epic Founder's Drumroll at the moment but have now received the Legendary version. I'd like to level the Legendary version, but I've already got resource stuck in the Epic one and don't want to invest a ton of experience and evolution materials into something that I might end up not using afterwards.

Weapon skill point node replacement

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 06:55 PM PDT

Since weapon skill nodes are no longer needed rather than eliminating them they should be replaced with better ammo schematic nodes.

I think a increase in the amount of resource needed for an increase in ammo made per craft would be a great QOL improvement.

To the legends we met in our storm shield defense today...

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 09:50 PM PDT

Holy shit. Thank you. These 2 guys with crazy high Power Levels joined into my friends storm shield defense in stone wood and dropped us hella weapons for no real reason. My friend got a legendary Hydra with 82 Power Level and I got a god damn Nocturno at 82! They also dropped some other crazy good weapons with PLs in the 50-60 range. We were freaking out. If by any chance you are on this Reddit, thanks for making our night lmao.

This is something we must definitely value!

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 01:41 PM PDT

So we all know someone who accidentally bought an wrong emote or llama, well, I tried to contact epic and ask for a refund since I had bought a wrong item, this is the follow-up:

Kipawa replied: Hello Guilherme, Thanks for contacting Epic Games Player Support. Please accept my most sincere apologies for the delayed response. I have granted 500 V-bucks to your account. You may need to restart your client to see them. Thanks for your interest in Fortnite, and if you encounter any issues in the future, don't hesitate to reach out again! Kind regards, Kipawa Fortnite Player Support

Yes, it took 10 days for the reply, but they had a lot on their hands and this was something entirely out of my fault, there's no laws defending my side and they did that pure out of generosity, anyways, sorry for my bad english, I just wanted to publicly say thanks to the epic team for doing such a good job comunicating with its players because this is the most important thing in any product/service!!

Instead of one kind of Reskins...

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 07:38 PM PDT

...could we get another that I'm sure most of us would enjoy?

With the current event running and the fact we've finally got 'gender-swapped' parity. Could we actually spend a bit of time making gender-swapped characters for all of the various subclasses rather than porting over Battle Royal's soldier reskins?

Don't get me wrong, I love the new looks for the event. But the fact that 4 out of 6 of the event heroes are simply soldier reskins is a tad telling and bothersome.

If you want to remove the flak you're getting over Battle Royal's sloppy seconds atleast take the time to go back and either re-release previous subclasses as reskins or, and god forbid I suggest this, you merely make gender an option from the start.

I think my biggest disappointment in this game from a visual/cosmetic standpoint is that both race and gender are tied entirely to a subclass. I can handle forcing each player class to have a different body type to create quick visual identification for the playerbase, but the basic customization portion is a big let down.

Best AFK yet

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 03:07 AM PDT

This idiot built a 3x3 with walls over the top of the shelter, and 1 minute in to the first wave he was up there going in circles so I went to see WTF?

Got up there and the kid had a boost pad in each of the four corners, just shooting around in circles.

I asked if he was gonna help. No response. I threw a wall up and stopped him, he pickaxed it out and went back to circling.

I threw a launchpad in his path, he went shooting off the map.

It was beautiful. I wish wish I had been on PS4 instead of PC so I could have clipped it.

BR players who just started playing STW are so funny

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 02:22 AM PDT

I have an epic "scar" at powerlvl 42. I wanted to make a new one but made one too much on accident. I was in stonewood farming with newbies and I decided to make 2 more and give them to the newbies. Ofcourse one guy/gal went crazy happy thinking I had just given him the best gun in the game and went all out worship mode on me. I thought that was hilarious but I would pay too see that face when he/she realizes it was just some random gun.

If your having trouble finding the pub for the st Patrick’s Day quest I’d suggest to go to the suburbs of plankerton it normally has a bar which is what you have to find and any mode works I did encampments because it’s fastest but city is harder to find it in hope this helps
