Hi all,

As you know, this past 24hrs we were quickly accepting applications for our moderation team! After reviewing the few dozen entries, we have picked the four best candidates to fill the mod posts.

Congratulations to /u/Gleaux93 , /u/dezapplez , /u/The_0rwell and /u/WistfulAether !

These moderators will work hard in order to make your experience here better. For all those who applied and did not make it, don't fret, there will likely be more spots open shortly.

Edit: To clarify why we (I) chose so quickly is because I'm the only semi-active mod, everyone else has been MIA for a while. I needed help asap. The new mods are in a trial period and only have access to posts and comments. They are taking care of pins and playing referee.

Things I Accomplished in Destiny 2 (that were impossible in Destiny 1)

Since DTG downvoted me oblivion, I'm going to share this with you all here!

My name is Galvatron0821, I just want to share with you guys the list of things I was able to do in D2 that were impossible for me in D1.

  • Completed raids for the first time ever. This was hard for me in Destiny because I didn't fit the requirements in LFG ex. not owning Dark Drinker for WOTM so I was kicked out when we got to Aksis; not owning any raid emblems so I was rejected off the bat. Even though people recommend weapons like Coldheart in D2; I was able to get by with any loadout.

  • Went flawless for the first time ever. In D1, I was always the weakest link. I kept getting sniped, shotgunned, stickied, or shoulder charged. In D2, it was much easier to support my teammates and earned my first flawless in Survival.

  • Featured on the Creation's Page. Loved making Destiny videos but I was never featured. Someone told me to make snipe montages but I wasn't good at sniping. It was very demoralizing until one of my clan mates posted my first D2 montage and I was shocked that it was on front page.

  • Top 100 in Rockstar's Destiny Contest I don't think this existed in D1 but it was a cool moment for me worth sharing.

TLDR: As you can tell from my stats, I'm far from being the best player or even a good player. Heck I still remember people in Destiny that have told me I was one of the worst players they ever met. But if I can do it, anyone in a similar situation can do it! Don't let salty people talk you down from enjoying the most out of this game.

Heroic Adventure on every Moon/Planet

Why can't we have multiple different sets of prophecy verses for each location? That would be an easy way to add new weapons/gear to the end-game content. Do what we did for Mercury but all over the place, we could have a secret cave/forge to turn in verses in all these currently unused areas like the Arcology since it's only used partialy for a strike and some story missions.

Mecury - Osiris Weapons

EDZ - Fallen Style Weapons

Titan - Hive Style Weapons

Nessus - Vex Style Weapons

IO - Taken Style Weapons

It seems like a cool concept to add and would help give us something other than a "cosmetic grind" that a lot of people aren't liking. Let me know what you guys think.

Idea: New Frost Sub-Classes: Melees

Hunter - Flash Freeze, a small, contact detonation grenade is thrown, with if hitting an enemy will freeze them in place for 1 second, and then thawing would slowly increase their movement from 10% back to 100% over the next 9 seconds.

Titan - Yeti's Grasp, meleeing a target will cause them to gain Frostbite for 3 second, which reduces their speed and melee distance by half. If killed, they implode, pulling other enemies towards the target, and recharging the melee for the Titan.

Warlock - Handheld Blizzard, the palm thrust from a warlock now send the enemy flying backwards, their speed is reduced by 75% for 2 seconds. If killed, the enemy explodes in a white powder, cause visual and movement penalties similar to a smoke bomb.

Is destiny 2 better to play with no friends?

Hey guys. I played destiny 1 for a long time, and I had lots of fun with it. But I never did a single raid, and only pugged the dungeons, cause none of my real world friends play it. I wanna pick up D2 but I gotta know in advance, how's it gonna be playing with no friends to do things with? Is it at least an improvement? Cause I had lots of fun with D1 but always felt left out at the end of the day you know?

... If there were exotic gauntlets that let you consume power ammo to deal extra damage with your melee attacks? In crucible, it would be a one punch kill (like a sword).

[Idea] Crucible mode-Gladiators/Arena

2 modes I want to introduce with 1 new map concept.

Map- A large cabal colosseum with cabal cheering in the background, calus can be seen on a golden throne. The stage is set on the leviathan. The middle area is a sand filled area with the floor tiles constantly changing like the gauntlet in the raid. Traps like floor spikes or vents that shoot fire are examples found in the map space.

Gladiator-2v2 Swords only Game mode is like trials with similar cutscenes , with 5 rounds. Floor traps are activated randomly, however there are levers players can press to summon dogs. Final round there is a giant lever that summons the big dogs from the garden in the leviathan raid. No supers or melee energy, only grenade.

Arena- 1v1 Swords only Like gladiator except 3 rounds, and traps occur more often. There are no levers.

The leviathan sword is given if the player does not have a sword equiped during matchmaking process. Or Matchmaking locked if player doesnt have sword equiped.

Nit sure if player should have heacy ammo yo speed up the match or they have no ammo to keep the match a slow and interesting process and then have heavy spawn at regular times.
