| I think I understand freddy and his perks now. Posted: 29 Mar 2018 08:37 AM PDT This is part serious/ part shit post, so bear that in mind. Freddy "Mr. Steal your childhood" Krueger loves fucking with folks, sometimes quite literally....because he's a pedophile... His perks and power is all geared toward making the experience as painful and hilariously difficult as possible. His main power is dream demon. After sleeping a survivor, they have a base 7 seconds to either run and get a head start or try like hell to get a lucky skill check to stay awake. In the case of the former, freddy can either chase you forever or until he gets bored with you, or monitor you from a distance. If he chooses to leave you alone, he can see your every move out of his terror radius and either chase you off a generator or turn you into an unwitting turncoat and lead him to another survivor, making you into an asshole. If you are a brave soul who believes he has the power of God, anime and RNG on your side and you attempt to get a lucky skill check during the transition. 2 things a most likely to happen. The 1st is that like the lucky bastard you are, you fatherless child, you get the skill check and wake up...only for Freddy to sleep you again. Congratulations, you've accomplished absolutely nothing of any benifit to anyone, killer or survivor. The 2nd and more likely is that you don't get the skill check your mom said she'd get you, even though you swept the garage and prayed to the family wolf gaurdian diety. This is where Freddy promptly shakes his head at you and pulls you off the generator, embarrassed for you and deeply ashamed of you, just like your dad was before he left to be a father to some less disappointing kid. The worst part is, the kid isn't even all that impressive either, he just isn't you and that's all your dad needed. Now that you're done crying, let's move on to his perks. Fire up: Freddy's first teachable is a jack off a tradesmen perk that does a little bit of everything, but only if he gets to do anal. It can be used in a multitude of ways:
*it can be used to give a swift roundhouse kick to any generators that make a bad habit of lipping off, because also like your dad, Freddy is a violent alcoholic (not canon), and like your dad, he's only violent and drunk around you because you just really suck, Timothy. I mean, if an alien invasion was about to happen and the people needed a strong leader to inspire them to take up the fight to push back the invaders with wise, passionate, firey words from their president, you would be the guy the president sends to pick up his coffee order at starbucks. Like, like. He would write down exactly what he wanted, and you would still fuck it up. Then you'd get back and he be like "Oh, thanks, Ti- what the hell is this? How the hell did you screw up my order?! I asked for an iced coffee and you somehow managed to bring me potting soil?! I had this rousing speech to give to the planet, but if us surviving means that we have to spend 5 more minutes with you, I'd rather be vaporized." That's you. You're the Timothy in that scenario. Also in real life. Remember me: Freddy's 2nd teachable and your tear filled plea to whatever false God your heathen mother makes you pray to for your dad to come back, is an obsession perks that single out 1 survivor to be Freddy's favorite person of the trial. Every time he strikes his obsession, 5 seconds are added to the time it takes to power the exit gate, with a max of 30 seconds to be earned, 50 seconds to power the door, 100 seconds if everyone is asleep, and only 20 or 40 seconds for the obsession depending on if they are sleep or not. This perk pairs well with Fire Up because as you chase down your obsession, a smart team will be cranking out gens, inadvertently making you that much more stronger in a chase to catch that little bastard who struck out on the Very Last Play of the big game. No wonder why Elliot is your dad's new favorite, if I had a son as uncoordinated and with a stupid face like yours, I'd probably cut my losses and split too. Blood Warden: Freddy is a troll, plain and simple. He takes pleasure in watching the faces of his victims fall from realizing that there is no escape. By itself, this perk can call the entity to block an open exit gate for one minute, forcing survivors to evade the killer for a bit longer, helping the killer secure an extra kill or 3. To use the perk, simply hook a survivor when an exit gate is open and unlike your dad at your graduation, the entity promptly shows up sober and ready to be supportive of your goals in life. With BW up, Freddy can see the auras of all survivors in the exit gates and can either sleep and down them or just shoo them away so they have to open up another door, which if you have a full stacked Remember Me will delay the game for ANOTHER 50 -100 seconds if the obsession is dead or otherwise incapacitated. So, as a recap: *Freddy is a troll. *Fire Up is best when you plan to have an obsession, otherwise just take something else entirely.

| Remove/Rethink Blood Point offerings under 100% Posted: 29 Mar 2018 06:54 AM PDT I have been a player of DBD since launch in 2016. I figured that since DBD devs have full control of the game, I'd make this post. I still cannot understand the idea behind blood point modifier offerings , especially in certain categories (Altruism, Objective, Survival, Boldness along with Killer equivalents) that give less than 100% bonus. It has driven me crazy since the beginning of the game that you are spending blood points to gain or even still lose blood points. Its wasted space in the web for other more useful things. Hear me out. A 25% blood point offering costs 3,000 blood points and it has the potential to give you 2,000 blood points MAX (Assuming you get perfect 8,000 points in that category. A 50% BP offering has the potential to give you 4,000 additional blood points at 4,000 BP cost. A 75% BP offering can give you 6,000 blood point bonus at a 5,000 BP cost... but that is ASSUMING you get a full 8K in that particular category. The only somewhat useful offerings are the Escape Cakes at 4,000 and Party Streamers at 5,000 which apply to all categories and are at 100%. Obviously, since you already "own" the offerings it is still wise to use them to make up for your losses of spending points on them in the first place, but it would be so much better if these offerings NO LONGER existed in the blood webs similar to the bouquets light offerings. *****EDIT: This is coming! Was talked about in the 2nd PTB for the Emblem system. I guess I didn't notice it. Thanks to those letting me know. | The Basement in Badham should always be in the boiler room Posted: 29 Mar 2018 12:07 PM PDT It's damn near impossible to hook someone from there if you don't have carrying-perks, especially with all the pallets, if the basement isn't there, and since it almost always spawns a gen you can't just avoid going in there [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 29 Mar 2018 11:23 AM PDT just no it was a one time thing and if they added it again the whole point of it being special would be gone. [link] [comments] | ||
| When going for dailies, does your play style change for the worse? Posted: 29 Mar 2018 10:14 AM PDT I've noticed that when going for dailies, my skill goes down the toilet. For example, if I'm going for a "unhook 4 survivors as Meg" - I'll play as meg (who I rarely play, so I have no good perks or offerings) - and I tend to concentrate so much on unhooking people, that I don't get any generators and I get downed by the killer far more than I normally would. I was just wondering if this could be a cause for a lot of ridiculous amount of hook swarming we see. I usually just want to get the daily and hen go back to my main(s) (be it survivor or killer) [link] [comments] | ||

| So the new killer customizations are "chapter themed" Posted: 29 Mar 2018 12:40 PM PDT Does that mean we're getting a military themed killer (Doctor's cosmetic), a plant-related killer (Hag's), and a... bondage-themed killer (Nurse's)? Or did I misunderstand MCote? [link] [comments] | ||
