A very stupid question from a returning player Posted: 02 Mar 2018 11:44 PM PST Okay, so I just played my first session after about two years. I was wondering around a town found some tents and took some basic gear. I was in a police station when I heard this freaky sounding laugh, something the joker would sound like if he had a love child with satan. I was wondering was this a player or a new noise the zombies make? I alt f4'd immediately since it is well past midnight and it actually scared the shit out of me. I used to play this game until the wee hours of the morning and never heard anything remotely like it, it kinda giggled, by far the strangest noise ever, not anything like the noises I was used to. I apologize if this is too stupid of a question to ask but I am actually curious. While I found those tents they all had a considerable amount of human flesh in them so I think the players responsible for that probably would be the ones to fuck with someone like that but I don't know, sounded too high quality for a player. One of the problems with camping/base building Posted: 03 Mar 2018 04:54 AM PST The forest and foliage spawn the same every time and there are only a few particular areas I would feel comfortable setting up camp, I'm sure others have the same areas in mind and that's the problem. If every new server spawned a random mix of dense foliage and forests once you get a few yards into the initial treeline it would make camping a lot more dynamic and unpredictable. As it stands there's not anywhere on the map that I would set up camp long term, with the exception of some areas in the far north. But having everyone camping in the north and west itself makes it predictable. The forest need more areas of dense foliage and small trees so that camping is more viable in the future. Posted: 02 Mar 2018 10:58 AM PST Does anyone have experience with past patches that has seen how devs use the test servers. How does their development of an experimental build happen. We saw a few days ago their TEST cherno server with 17 or so "qa" survivors in it. Is this an intermediate step or does that happen at any step in the development phase. I see that there are still bugs with players not dying (the B/W screenshots from a few hours ago) so I assume they are not very close I was just looking for some insight on how they test [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 02 Mar 2018 02:55 PM PST Technically speaking, if they have a new accurate system in the works to precisely detect where you have been shot they can implement this system further and carry it over to the clothing system. Because currently you can take a bullet in the shoulder/knee and have literally everything destroyed in that piece of clothing. So I'm hoping with this accurate system in place and some further fleshing out of the clothing system, the game can finally say you took a round through your left thigh and a few numerous items in your left pocket have been affected. I think they should remove the Blood Groups Posted: 03 Mar 2018 12:33 AM PST I think this makes the bloodbags pretty much useless. And it would be a cool mechanic to use more often. Like not killing your enemies so that you can harvest blood from them and then eat them. However with the current Blood Groups it's honestly too much of a headache to do that. You first gotta find a bazillion blood test kits, one for you, the others for your eventual prey. And then when you find them you gotta test them, if they aren't cool with your group then you've just wasted both ammo and a blood test kit. And the likelyhood of finding someone that is compatible is so low, it's not even worth it. I haven't seen a bloodbag being used,even on fucking RP servers(when even rp-ers don't use a mechanic,that's when you know it's fucked), since early days of alpha back in late 2013-feb/march 2014 And if they wanna keep some kind of mechanic that resembles Blood groups maybe do + and -, so it's more likely to find what you need [link] [comments] | ||
