Case 42 were really odd, the suspect and hes team were standing still in CT spawn. The terrorists were running towards CT spawn and when they crossed A bombsite, they all just disappeared and the CTs won the round. None of the bots had a BOT prefix and no one left or got killed, they just disappeared.

14/15 of the wingman cases and 68/85 matchmaking cases were either cheaters or griefers i know i might sound like Dan M saying that , was going to make more in-depth stats but im really tired right now and going to get some rest.

CS:GO's Outdated Store Page

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 08:25 AM PST

CS:GO's store page is incredibly outdated. I know Valve probably doesn't care but it makes the game look really outdated. There are screenshots that show incredibly early versions of the game as well as content that's not even in the game anymore. There isn't even a screenshot showing the new Dust 2, it's the most popular CS:GO map and it's nowhere to be seen?

Here's some examples.

https://i.imgur.com/bcwfL2N.jpg Really outdated SEAL Team 6 player model using CSS m4?

https://i.imgur.com/jaOU3ba.jpg Outdated Seal Team 6 models again using CSS m4

https://i.imgur.com/2lz7Igd.jpg Outdated Elite Crew player models as well as a early version of the ak with a different texture. Also some really weird placement of the m249 on the guys back in the background.

I hope we can gets Valves attention and make them give the store page a makeover soon.

Is Niko a Choker? A statistical analyses

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 06:42 AM PST

This is a topic that have been hot this past week, especially here on reddit, and I would like to add a bit of statistical data to the discussion and present my point of view (TLDR: at the end)

The main goal of this project is to understand, what define a choker statistically. To achieve that I compare Niko rating2.0 in the past 6 months (Epicenter – IEM Katowice 2018) against the best performing players of this period. This period express the new dynamic of the CS:GO scenario and the events selected were the "Big Events" from HLTV.ORG. To give a bigger sample the players needed to be in at least 4 events (That is why simple and NAF are not in this study) and not be from the same team. The players are: Cold, Krimz and Autimatic.

The series chosen for the analyses had the following criteria: Finals, Semi- finals and elimination series. The reason behind that were to simplify the data to specific events that would bring the most pressure to a player. These are the parameters using in this comparison:

  1. Big Events – Defined by HLTV.ORG
  2. High Pressure Matches – Finals, Semi-finals and Elimination matches
  3. Series Lost – Series lost following the high pressure criteria
  4. Maps Lost – Maps lost following the high pressure criteria
  5. Close games – Round difference =< 4
  6. Finals games – Games played in the Finals

Niko

Context Rating 2.0 % Maps
Big events 1.22 100 86
High pressure matches 1.16 95 36
Series lost 1.1 90 23
Maps lost 0.96 79 16
Close games 1.05 86 11
Finals games 1.05 86 20

Cold

Context Rating 2.0 % Maps
Big events 1.25 100 72
High pressure matches 1.22 98 25
Series lost 1.16 93 12
Maps lost 1.02 82 11
Close games 1.16 93 9
Finals games 1.2 96 9

Krimz

Context Rating 2.0 % Maps
Big events 1.21 100 42
High pressure matches 1.06 88 16
Series lost 0.96 79 9
Maps lost 0.92 76 9
Close games 1.1 91 8
Finals games 1.07 88 5

Autimatic

Context Rating 2.0 % Maps
Big events 1.14 100 50
High pressure matches 1.12 98 18
Series lost 0.99 87 9
Maps lost 0.98 86 11
Close games 1.29 113 8
Finals games 1.22 107 3

From these numbers we can withdraw some conclusions:

Every player has a lower rating in High pressure games but not by lot. This is the main reason why I wanted to do this work to find out, how much should a rating for a specific player drop when playing a Top team at a Big event. As we can see from these numbers Niko only drop 5 % from his normal form , witch don't show any signs of a choker.

Cold is a beast. Every time anyone does any kind of analyses in Top CSGO it is easy to spot this phrase being repeated over and over, and in this analyses it could not be different. Cold has a rating above 1.0 in every category and a more consistence performance of any player.

Autimatic is a big pressure player? Performing better than his average rate in finals and close games just show how much impact his performance had in helping his team to be a major champion but it may be too soon to call since he only had one final in his belt

Is Niko a Choker? I wouldn't say so but he is not a high pressure player. Niko is one the best player in the world and has performed over a 1.0 rating in finals and close games but he had one the biggest drops percentage wise if you compare to the other players.

(TLDR: Is niko a Choker? No, but he is not a pressure player)

edit: Updated to the correct player name:Automatic->Autimatic edit2: Fixed Autimatic table
