Why I am coming back to AA in 4.5 fresh start. Posted: 26 Mar 2018 07:42 AM PDT I played at launch on Kyrios. Favorite memories include the creative class combos, the exploration and sense of scale, the depth of crafting, the ocean and battles, undersea exploration, wide scale pvp.... I am coming back because of a few changes to the game I am happy about. I had to search and see some of this for myself, please correct anything I got wrong. Stat potions are gone. Fresh start will not have any legacy potions or ability to craft more. I hated these things! Land grabs won't be as vicious as launch on Kyrios. The auto place bots and land grab hacks were bad times. Fresh start requires a new account. Everyone starts at 0. No headstarts, no special privileges. The first few tiers of gear no longer break when upgrading. This is a huge change! Sweeping class rebalance in 4.5. If you thought you knew what the top builds were, its all changed. This brings a sense of discovery back to character building. Blue salt brotherhood quests have changed significantly. Get that farm cart without thunderstruck tree early bottlenecks. Dungeons. Not a lot of options at launch and horrible balance made this painful. Looking forward to new group content. The early game of AA was the most fun. The first few weeks/months have the most level playing field, even with people spending time/money to try to get ahead. Sad state of mmos in 2018. I'm bored and have fond memories of AA. Looking to join a pirate faction group for fresh start Posted: 26 Mar 2018 05:30 PM PDT Played on day one for the first release and absoltely fell in love. The harpoon clipper shennanigans we got into before any galleon was built was some of the funnest moments I had in an mmo. we got the first galleon kill on the server, even without one ourselves. Killed all the crew and drove it into the npc pirate cannons to kill it. But all great things come to an end and the guild fell apart. With no guild to do anything with, i was a target to everyone and quit as I didn't want to start over at the time. Tried to get into the game again later, but nobody wanted to go full pirate and stuck to being "pirates" with purple names. submitted by /u/wintrparkgrl [link] [comments]

Archeage worth comming back too? Still free to play in 4.5? Posted: 26 Mar 2018 07:44 AM PDT I loved arcehage, played for about a year on the Aranzeb server in the guild forestcrow but felt as if it was dying and sorta felt betrayed in a way. I see that on April 5th a new server will be heading yo the atcheahe realm and will it be worth picking up again? If not is there any games that gives the same feel or will give the same feel as archeage? Just with more people? Fresh Start Land question Posted: 26 Mar 2018 05:17 PM PDT Ok im looking to start on the fresh start server but i really want to get land if i do. I know since I quit back at around 2.0 the trade packs and quest have been changed, will it be possible to get 16x16 in the 48 hours? 4.5 Fresh start race quests question Posted: 26 Mar 2018 08:10 AM PDT Last time I played was on 3.0 fresh start. I played as a new race - warborn, their questline was so OP compared to chinese, you could get lvl 50 like in half a time. Did they change and balace the green questline for all of races?
