I want to become an sf player. What are some tips and strategies to follow? Posted: 19 Feb 2018 10:28 AM PST I find sf difficult to play for some reason. K really don't have that many games on him. I looking for any kind of tips to know, strategies on what to do during a game, and how to itemize him and why against certain compositions. When do you build physical over magic? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Feb 2018 12:44 PM PST Hey! For the third year of my university course I have to do a year long study, and I've decided to focus mine on Dota2! Specifically, how people read and interpret the statistics provided by third party sites such as YASP and DOTABUFF. It's just a really quick questionnaire that should only take about two minutes to complete, and I'd be eternally grateful if you could fill it out. There's a lot of words on the first page, but it's all just fluff about the study and reassurance that you're not going to be psychologically scared. If you don't want to read about the study or your ethical rights, just scroll to the end and click the consent button. It should be phone friendly, too! [link] [comments] |
How did the N'aix niche build suddenly evolve into becoming THE build? Posted: 19 Feb 2018 01:23 PM PST I used to see this build occasionally, once every 20-30 high level games or so but now it suddenly became "the" lifestealer build. Even ramzees pointed out that the new LS build makes him a very terrifying hero: "Naix is very strong as well with the new Radiance build: strong laning early, Radiance in mid game and the Infest-bomb in late game blows up any hero." if you look at the dotabuff guides page, you will notice that 99% of high level LS games are with LS rushing radiance. Posted: 19 Feb 2018 08:57 AM PST I'm 4.6k and have a smurf at 3.7k (my old acc before grinding). Both of which I have never seen a lina in the past months. Granted I'm mostly playing my 3.7k now but even on twitch streams. She's never mid and she's a so so support w/o setup. What's her role now [link] [comments] |
Laning against and late game versus Enchantress? Posted: 19 Feb 2018 10:25 AM PST What are your suggestions towards playing against Enchantress in lane and in the late game when she's 4/5/6 slotted and hits like a truck. I'm finding it increasingly harder to try and burst her down. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Feb 2018 04:28 AM PST Hey guys im trying to improve my gameplay as Invoker, and I wanted to ask if any of you guys have some tips on how to do so. The main question for me is how to improve in the laning stage and the early game in general. I just feel like I often get shut down by roaming supports in the midlane or fail to have an impact in the first 20 minutes of the game. How can i try to help my teammates on top of suntstriking every now and then? How do I recover from a bad laning phase? Should i try to splitpush with BoT's or rush Agh's before boots for more teamfighting capabilities? Also what is the best way of trying to get early kills in the midlane? Is it meteor plus cold snap, or meteor alacrity, or just cold snap with sunstrike? Gonna post a link to my recent Invoker games if anyone wants to look for themselfes how i could do better. https://www.opendota.com/players/205799264/matches?hero_id=74 Sorry for garbage sentences, english is not my first language. Also please tell me if this doesnt belong here, its my first post in this subreddit. EDIT: paragraphs... [link] [comments] |

Posted: 19 Feb 2018 11:53 AM PST Hi! I just wanted to show some things that i've learn playing the offlane ( my Most played roll in ranked ) -The masoquist lane: The offlane its a hard lane, a lot of things can go bad for you: counter picks ( Most of The times ) , you deal with supports+carry. They pull the lane, kill you, Zone you out of XP range. But there is sometimhing good about that if you force the enemy Team to dedÃcate so much resources into you that means the other lanes should get a good time. Be smart fuck the creep equilibrium ( early death dont mather if you can get some LH ) Make the supports waste their resources and time. -Control and game Phase: Most of the offlaner heros have a lot of CC, can initate, Tank, some can split push. Also at 6 they hit a strong power spike ( the ultimates ). Giving you oportunity to fight and take objetives. Make the Enemy dance at your rithm -Greed: you are the offlaner so greedy picks are not always right, most of the times you only need 1 o 2 items to become really strong with traditional offlaners so picking a greedy one means that you are in disavantage on the early, mid game ( even more if the pos 1 its a late game carry ). A good way to learn this its to play support so you can ser with what kind of things you can get away. Thats all ( sorry for bad english ), about mmr im at 3.6k, now im practicing at unranked to get better [link] [comments] |
Enchantress when you don't have a front liner? Posted: 19 Feb 2018 06:56 AM PST Hi, I'm just wondering how people have adapted their style when they don't have a front liner. I find that come mid game enchantress does so much better with an axe or Legion that can keep enemies in place. But what do you when that's not available and you can't kite your opponents (say your opponents have a team of PA, Spectre, Slark, Axe and Venge)? [link] [comments] |
Requesting some tips/a guide for support Visage Posted: 19 Feb 2018 05:42 AM PST Sup guys, I was recently thinking of playing Visage and sadly I've never played this hero a bunch of times but would love to get better at it. Firstly, what are the best paths to take in terms of skill builds/itemization? Is Visage played like a standard position 4/5 or do you have to focus on being a bit greedier with your familiars? With the release of 7.09, it seems like stacking has become even more important, what's the easiest way to stack a bunch of camps all at once for efficiency? What about at night? (Any micro tips would be appreciated as I don't play these types of heroes often, I remember a method where people would stack like 4/5 camps with Naga but not too sure on that with Visage) That's most of the questions I had in mind, if you could provide any more tips it would be perfect. Thank you to anyone who reads and answers this! Dotabuff link with a recent match I had with Visage: https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3729816266 [link] [comments] |
How to play offlane against 1-2 supports who keep you out of XP range? Posted: 18 Feb 2018 04:37 PM PST I keep getting flamed for losing a 1v3 or 1v2 lane and having "no items or levels". I am 3.6k (Legend [3]). So I must be doing something wrong. What do I do when a support rushes me in the offlane? I try to hide in the trees or something to be in XP range but the support always ends up finding me. So I either sit in tower and get no XP or die a bunch. Now you may say, my safelane must be going well since its 3v1/2v1 down there, right? I've been playing with a 5 stack lately and that usually isn't the case. The enemy offlane usually gets kills or is allowed to farm. The supports may kill him once or twice and then say "they're crippled" and leave the lane entirely and go mid. Mainly, how do I deal with getting zoned out completely from XP range? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Late game which do you cull first: Aquila or Treads? Posted: 18 Feb 2018 04:02 PM PST I am sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find it so.... As the heading, later in the game which of the two would you be more likely to replace first (let's say you are playing PL as I played a few games of him recently) Aquila or Power Treads? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Is it better to max Telekinesis or Fade Bolt+Null Field first on Rubick? Posted: 18 Feb 2018 06:50 PM PST I find that the combo between Fade Bold and his Null Field toggled offensively deals more damage than I initially thought. I usually get one value point on Telekinesis and the max Fade Bolt followed by Null Field. I find it easier to get kills in the early game with it since you deal so much damage. Any thoughts? Posted: 19 Feb 2018 06:42 AM PST I had two games where I was position 5 and in both games in my team I had a slark carry. I don't know what he was doing, he didn't have levels nor was he farming. It tilted me so hard, my teams spirit breaker had more farm than him. And I don't know what's wrong with this bracket, everyone just gets into the gank like retards. I am still uncalibrated but others have rank around legend 3 - archon 4. Decision making is really bad and when I give them calls they don't listen. Should I change the position I play in the game or do I just have to go through these games?. Anyways sorry for the long post. [link] [comments] |
