I tested some Blanka Ball Punishes with Zeku Posted: 26 Feb 2018 05:43 AM PST Since I was home sick today, I spent most of the morning trying to figure out how to punish blanka balls with Zeku, here are my findings: Old Zeku: Lp/EX Ball - Only EX Koku works consistently, MK Koku only works if you are very close when he uses the ball. Mp Ball - EX Koku, MK Koku are the only good punishes. While technically not a punish I find Mp Bushin Flip to be a nice alternative. You can cancel MK Koku into super. Hp/VT1 Ball - Here you can get more creative. You can consistently walk up and do st.mp xx lk teki, lk koku (or burn meter for more dmg/oki respectively). If they aren't too far away when they use the ball, you can walk up and do cr.hp xx mk teki, mk koku for pretty good dmg. VT1 you can pretty much always do cr.hp. Young Zeku: Lp/EX ball: Run->Slide works. Technically a dash up cr.lp xx lp hosanto should work, but I have issues with it. Mp Ball: Run-> Slide works here too, but regular slide does 10 more dmg. Here you can do raw EX Hosanto into airgrab for decent damage, but dont waste EX on the airgrab. Distance doesnt really matter. Raw super works. Hp/VT1 Ball: Like with old Zeku you can walk up. If you are close, you can walk up and do st.mp -> st.hp target combo into finishers of your choice. If further away you have to settle for just st.hp into finishers. VT1 is even easier to punish. Generally you can raw super after MP or HP, but as you can see there is most often better things to do. Seeing which ball is being used is a bit more difficult to react to, but it comes with experience I suppose, he might do different noises? They are different speed so you should be able to react to that. These punishes are for midscreen, if he has his back against the wall, you can typically do more to punish, I might type it out aswell later... Often you can do the MP punish on the LP ball, HP punish on MP ball etc, but not always. Sometimes even the HP punish on LP/Ex ball if really close. The VT1 ball is always punishable as above regardless of the strength used on the ball. The VT1 roll is punishable on block, I usually do cr.lp (st lp, mp, hp, hk) target combo with Young, and I believe st.mp to lk teki, lk koku works as Old. Notes on dashing up vs light balls, I'm garbage with dashing up after blocking (or hitting CCs) so there MIGHT be some possibilities of this, but if you fail it you eat a CC as Old Zeku, it works with Ryu who can dash+4f normal I believe, but Zekus forward dash is one frame slower than Ryus, so maybe it doesn't work. How do you go from cr.HP xx DP to CA? (Ryu 7th challenge) Posted: 26 Feb 2018 08:49 AM PST New player here. Specifically how do you wiggle the stick around for Shoryuken into CA? I know how to DP xx CA when standing because after pressing forward it's just 2 QCF, but from a crouching position, after the cr.HP how do I do it? I can cr.HP xx DP easily but I don't see how to link the CA. I also don't see how the DP shortcut ↘ ↓↘ could help me here since it's not a QCF and wouldn't count for buffering the CA. DLC Codes not working. Should I return my SF AE? Posted: 26 Feb 2018 08:01 AM PST I just bought a physical copy of the arcade edition yesterday. The game has 18gb worth of updates that I havent downloaded yet. I decided to enter the dlc codes instead but both the Characters and Costume pack codes are invalid. Does it have anything to do with the update or should I replace mine?
