| DEAR NIANTIC - ideas and suggestions for the devs Posted: 05 Feb 2018 07:36 AM PST Hey Niantic! You guys made a game we all have a lot of feelings about...and this is our spot to express those feelings and make some statements about ways we think the game could be even better for us - and by extension, you! If you want to complain about the game in a less constructive way please do so in the Salty Sunday - Rage Rants and complaints thread. Here you will find ideas and suggestions - a mix of the positive posts and constructive criticism that reddit's Pokemon Go community have compiled and discussed and up/downvoted by importance and validity for us all. If there's one post on /r/pokemongo you guys should be paying attention to, it's this one, so please do. Hey /r/PokemonGo Trainers! This recurring monthly post is for you guys. Sort posts by "top" to see what has been voted most important so far, but consider sorting by "new" as well to weigh in on the most recent ideas! Please pay attention to the /r/PokemonGo rules for commenting behavior and civility, and use the report button when necessary to alert the mods to any post or thread that needs a review! | Quests, Searchable Shinies, and more! Posted: 05 Feb 2018 01:05 PM PST Pokemon Go has been updated and in the update, the code shows quests. You can also search for shinies using "Shiny." [link] [comments] | ||

| Can we expect Valentine event this week? Mew possibility? Posted: 05 Feb 2018 10:36 AM PST Last year Valentine event start 8.2, should it be this year too? Last year was increased spawn of pink pokemons.. Now when we have raids can we expect Mew as pink pokemon on raids? I think it should be cool, but it will not happend. What do you think we will have on Valentine event? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 05 Feb 2018 11:06 AM PST I'd like to see Niantic implement a weekly raid streak bonus where if you complete a raid every day for 7 days straight you get a bonus. Bonus could be an extra raid pass, stardust, xp and increased odds of getting an EX raid pass at your next raid. [link] [comments] | ||
| The truth about Defense. [Discussion] Posted: 05 Feb 2018 09:38 AM PST After a month of raiding legendaries I am always faced with the decision of which ones to power up. I have gotten local advice that says that since Legendaries can't be placed in gyms a 15/15/15 legendary is no different than a 15/10/15 legendary. Is this true? If not can someone explain it to me in plain English? [link] [comments] | ||
| Hunting down Pokemon that "Fled" Posted: 05 Feb 2018 04:29 AM PST When a pokemon flees we should be able to try and go find it again. It hasn't dissapeared, just fled, so why can't we go look for it? I propose a sort of tracking system in the nearby list similar to how Pokestops work. The fled Pokemon would relocate and you would need to go to the new location for another chance at catching it. The point of the game is to "move" and hunt pokemon down so I think it would help promote the "get fit while playing" idea of Pokemon Go. Obviously this should only be possible one or two times for balance reasons but I think it could be a nice feature! [link] [comments] | ||
| [Discussion] "Vote with your wallet" Posted: 05 Feb 2018 04:20 PM PST I don't know what qualifies as a whale, but I know I've spent more in this game than I'm proud of. Today, I went through my Google Play receipts and threw together a spreadsheet of my coins purchased (plus the $100 in coins from GoFest. Doesn't include coins from gyms, because I don't know of any real way to determine this). https://i.imgur.com/Pi33TW9.png Even with a new Legendary, new Pokemon, a Gen 3 egg event, a new raid boss (Aggron), and community day, my spending has completely dropped off. The biggest reason? EX Raids. Or, more importantly, my lack of them. I ran several raid trains - not just for the hope of EX Raid passes - but I haven't ran one since November, Heck, my December spending is just up because of a splurge on Christmas Day when my wife and I went out. Anywhoo, I thought this was kinda interesting and wanted to share - folks throw the 'vote with your wallet' line around a lot here and I was curious if anyone else had a similar trend. | [Discussion] What is your highest medal number/stat achieved so far? Posted: 05 Feb 2018 09:42 PM PST Out of all your medals, what have you did/caught/etc. the most of or tend to focus on more than anything? Hours defending a gym? Walking distance? Pokemon caught? Another one entirely? I know many ask what your total of a certain medal is but I want to know which one takes precedent (if any) over the rest. [link] [comments] | ||
| It happened. I didn’t use Pokémon go for a whole weekend. Posted: 04 Feb 2018 11:15 PM PST So I've been a daily player since day one, and always wanted to get my daily streaks since they began. I just forgot this weekend, and I didn't miss it. I'm bored of the gameplay now. I always wanted to get my daily 50coins from gyms and have a decent coin pocket and over 500pokeballs available still. But I didn't ever expect to get bored of this game as my childhood was basically Pokémon. Such a shame, but I I'm a lone player and all the people I knew who played it have back out now too. Ship has sailed it seems. I enjoyed this community though and I hope it picks up again as I'll keep an eye on this reddit for new updates. But until I can probably catch the legendaries as a lone player that's me. Even spending money didn't help. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 05 Feb 2018 01:37 PM PST Seems like a lot of code for Quests were found in the latest APK. As a reminder last time we got new content, the Weather system, it was live 7-10 days after it was mined from the APK. Hope it will be the same this time! [link] [comments] | ||
| [Question] Is it worth powering up my 94% Larvitar with 201 CP? Posted: 05 Feb 2018 02:08 PM PST I'm really torn about if I should power it up, wait for a 100% that may never come or just evolve the highest CP one I have already. Suggestions? :| [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 05 Feb 2018 01:37 AM PST I didn't even have a normal one yet :D It's my second shiny since catching a shiny Pikachu during the community event :3 https://i.imgur.com/CR4yDmP.png [link] [comments] | ||
| [Question] Is togekiss going to be a good mon in the next gen? Posted: 05 Feb 2018 03:33 AM PST Hi, I have hatched a 98% togepi, evolved it and I'm still walking it to get 100 candies ready for generation 3. It's going to get a new evolution then, togekiss. Does anyone who has played the main games know if it's a good pokemon or should I start walking some other instead? [link] [comments] | ||
| [Idea] Earn additional stardust by battling wild Pokémon. Posted: 05 Feb 2018 02:47 PM PST Like in the original game series, Pokémon Go could have a function where one could battle a wild Pokémon instead of catching it. I would see this as a method to gain more stardust. Defeating a wild Pokémon would result in a variable amount of stardust depending on the wild Pokémon's CP and rarity. Higher CP Pokémon would yield more stardust and rarer Pokémon would also yield more stardust. However, you lose your ability to catch the Pokémon. You might get the usual candies for defeating the Pokémon as you would if you caught the Pokémon. But if stardust AND candies are too much for a wild battle, you would get A candy instead of three or whatever you would normally get for catching the Pokémon. The much needed stardust you could use to power up your Pokémon. Because what other Pokémon game does not let the Pokémon get stronger by battling? The main games, your Pokémon does not get stronger by you only catching Pokémon. No, they have to battle other Pokémon. Even nowadays where your Pokémon does get experience when you caught the Pokémon, it still contributed to catching the Pokémon. So why not let Pokémon battle to get stronger by earning you stardust? What do you guys think of my idea? [link] [comments] |
